Quiet hotel on the backstreet built around a courtyard secluded from the street. The couple running the place are friendly and practical with good advice and keen to assist. The shared kitchenette is well provisioned (but no kettle or coffee maker). The dog is friendly and the mini-lizards in the garden are fun. there's some pleasant shared seating in the yard. The AC and shower in the room are good. It is two streets to the centre of the main strip and similar to the collectivo vans out of town (e.g. Bacalar).

The whole site is quite small and feels hot. Entry is off a rather untidy road.

Ernesto was very kind and a wonderful host. He cleaned the rooms very well and went out of the way to check us in after hours. Hotel is a short walk to the beach, has plenty of road space to park, and is very nice and well priced. Air conditioning in the rooms worked very well and showers were warm.

Everything was nice and clean, the owner was very helpful and responsive. Communication went easy. Only 2 blocks away from the beach and 1 block from the bus terminal. Perfect location!

Be aware that you have to pay for the laundry. The pipes in the bathroom smell a little bit, otherwise it was clean. It would be nice to know when you book, if your room has street or garden view.

Cosy patio with simple kitchen and with fridge, good silent air condition, silent during night and day. Friendly and helpful host Ernesto. Only 300 m to bakery and beach. Relaxing village Mahahual with options from cheap street food to more expensive restaurants. Cheaper and more laid back than Riviera Maya.

The location was just one street from the beach and boulevard, between local housing. We came here to dive and used the excelent service and facilities of Bucanero divers with Leo. Also the people who worked here in the hotel and pizzeria did their best to give good service, even when they didn’t speak English. In the hotel there is a public kitchen with free water and inventory to use. The room was clean, a nice size and steady WiFi, very complete for this price. Also parking in front of the door was easy. So try out the pizza bakery, bakery and diving shop around the corner. All very nice and very nicely priced.

Many dogs were barking at night end the street is a bit messy around the hotel.

We appreciated the location, it is not on the main beach but rather on a more quiet and calmer street. Ernesto was a very welcoming host and both the room as well as the common area kitchen were super clean!

There was no view but it was not necessary as it was a two minute walk from the beach front.

Really nice host. Takes the time to talk to you about things you want to do. Helps out with any questions you have. There is an outside kitchen and it’s really a bonus. The staff is all really friendly, especialy the cleaning lady.

Waterpresure on the shower could have been stronger. But I guesse this is everywhere around the coast.

Ernesto is a good host. The place has an eco-friendly concept which makes it special. It has a common kitchen with everything you need. Clean room and comfortable bed. Good value for the price.

We enjoyed our stay overall. It was a lovely place, nice, helpful staff. There was a nice outdoor kitchen where you could fix your breakfast and lunch. Mahahual isn't a big city, location was great. Close enough to the beach and promenade, but still quiet enough. The room wasn't big, but I wouldn't know what I would need a bigger room for. Overall, awesome stay. We used the laundry service, and this worked perfectly fine as well :-) Would recommend.

Walking distance to the beach. The property was gated and lush with plants. The staff were attentive and welcoming.

The bed was a bit firm for me, but that's just a matter of preference. The kitchen could use a bit of an upgrade with amenities.
