The room was very nice and the staff was too. The location is a fine spot in chateauneuf de pape, but it’s difficult to get to at first. The room was very nice, newly remodeled, plenty of room, and good sized bath. It was also very nice to have parking, which is hard to come by!

The parking is not close, and there’s lots of uphill and stairs to get to the property (our rooms were assigned in a different building) which with luggage was a bit difficult. Also, there’s no elevator, so more stairs inside as well. Now that we know where it is, it would be easy to drop off the bags close to the door, and then bring the car back down to the parking area.

Hotel is beautifully decorated and looks smart and bright. Rooms are not huge but have everything you need. The bed in our room was huge. Everything feels luxurious (bedding, toiletries, fittings). We did not try the spas we only had 2 days. All staff. are friendly and very helpful. No lift but we had to leave our bags at reception as we arrived early and when we got back our bags were in our rooms. Good air-conditioning and easy to control. We ate in both the Michelin star restaurant and the Comptoir and both were excellent, also both are within easy walking distance of hotel. Great location in the heart of village.

Think the breakfast is over priced for what you get.

We love staying at the Hotel La Mere Germaine - we have visited during winter and also summer, high-season. We’ve stayed in both buildings - the rooms are renovated and clean with modern amenities but still retain some historical elements. Great view over the vineyards and the rooms are soundproof. Staff is super friendly/helpful and location is great. Also, the Restaurant Le Mer Germaine was amazing for dinner and the sommelier was spot on - we highly recommend the hotel and restaurant.

It would be great if there was an EV charger in the parking area.

Hotel La Mere Germaine deserves it four-star rating. It is a beautifully appointed hotel whose very modern facilities are tastefully designed to complement the gorgeous old building that houses it. Our junior suite was perfect: very comfortable, exquisitely appointed, and spotless. The staff were exceptional: helpful, professional, friendly, and accommodating. In particular, Remy at reception went out of his way to accommodate us when we needed an early check-in and a place to keep our bags. He also gave us helpful recommendations for places to eat, and he even made an extra effort to find out the name of a flowering tree outside the hotel that we asked about. It was a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

We had absolutely no complaints. Everything was excellent.

Great location to visit this little town. The staff were very welcome and kind, thank you especially to Arelie who checked us in. The room is nicely decorated and comfortable, they gave us a room upgrade for my husbands birthday and the view was amazing. As a guest you also have a free wine tasting at the properties cave which was a nice perk also.

There was no one at reception and check-out although it was during open hours which made it not possible to confirm final amounts to be cleared up. We travelled in a very quiet time so perhaps this has something to do with it.

A lovely hotel spread over 2 buildings in the square of Chateauneuf du Pape. we stayed in room 8 which is in the restaurant building. The view was beautiful across the vineyards to Avignon in the far distance. The room has a very comfortable bed but with an odd extra long pillow to share, that would be the only niggle, seperate pillows please! There was a little desk and coffee station room between the bedroom and bathroom with a Nespresso machine and cookies. The bathroom was large and beautifully done with the same gorgeous view. There are a lot of stairs from the car park to the room with luggage but the lovely man helped lug the cases up. You could always park out front and unload if you are more mature in age! Definitely book both the restaurants they own as both are equally good. Great stay would recommend as the best hotel for CN.

long shared pillows but really that’s not a deal breaker!

Room #4 was outstanding, probably the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. And the bed may be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The shower was wonderful. We had a large separate living room too. Pierre gave us a superb welcome. The rest of the staff was great too. We could walk to many domaine shops to taste wine. Their bistro was super nice. Jeff the sommelier picked a great bottle of wine for us and their superstar chef lived up to his reputation. Not to mention the killer view from our table.

Impossible to complain, but there was no view from our city center room. An elevator would’ve been nice, not that 2 flights of stairs is a big deal. Pierre hiked our bags up the stairs anyway.

Stunning location and clearing no expense spared for the fit out of the hotel room as restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And not too formal , which was good.

I got the feeling it was a relatively new fit out for the part of the hotel I was in (over the restaurant), so there were some teething problems like lights not working properly, safe not working, windows jammed and bath towels too small. So it’s probably close to being top rated. Once they get the snags sorted. Also the website/Booking.com needs to be much clearer on how to get to the reception and car park. I drove around for 15 minutes and had to phone I. The end.

Lovely room and the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in! Great a la carte breakfast. Secure, off-road parking. They allowed us to park the car in the carpark from the early morning of our check in day to allow us to head off on a wine tour with the rental car securely parked. Highly appreciated. Staff very responsive to questions ahead of our visit. Unfortunately we didn't get time to use the spa facilities or try the restaurant (hopefully next time). Highly recommended!

Nothing negative to say.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The manager was delightful and helpful. The cleaning staff was helpful and courteous . Car parking was accessible. The location was excellent. We especially enjoyed waking to wineries from the hotel.
