Great location, nice playroom for the kids. Gyula spa is connected to the hotel so it is very convenient.

The value for money is not good. Since we paid 4 days in this hotel the same as we would pay for 7+ days in Greece seaside, we expected a lot more. The quality of food was not so high, not so much options, not so fresh, no options for kids. We stayed in a family room which lacks a kettle. Not enough towels in the room. The gym is very poorly equipped. It is not our first time in Gyula, and unfortunatelly it seems it was much better experience before.

I had a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay at Hunguest Hotel Gyula. From the moment we arrived, the experience was smooth and welcoming. The location is fantastic — right next to the Gyula Castle and the Castle Spa, which made it incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and wellness.

The food service was very disorganized. While the buffet had variety, the layout made it difficult to navigate, especially during busy times. Some items weren’t replenished in a timely manner, and the flow of guests around the food stations often felt chaotic. A significant number of staff did not speak English or Romanian, which made communication difficult for non-Hungarian-speaking guests.

Very helpful staff, everyone was smiling and nice. It was clean and comfortable, nothing to complain about that. Food options were sufficient.

Food was at times very salty, you couldn’t eat it. Desert options very limited, and at dinner there were no drinks included in half board, we had to buy even water, which is not a great hospitality feature. I would understand if ordering cocktails or alcohol, but water?

The rooms were renovated and clean. Everything looked modern. AC was working. Decent prices at the bar. Very close to the Castle spa. Walking distance to supermarket and bank.

Food was just ok (canteen like), nothing special. Stuff was most of the times not willing to help, even with any sort of translator apps. All 3 pool tables broke mid game (not releasing the white ball) and all we got was "that's it. can't help"

It is very clean, good food on restaurant, very good termal place.

The wireless internet is a disaster, worse than a dial-up connection, in the spa at the hotel for three days in a row they didn't have towels for the sauna right from the first hour. The spa jacuzzi area of ​​the hotel is rusty and outdated.

It was okay. Not the best 4* hotel, but not the worse I have ever stayed in.

Food was mediocre, way below average for the price and for a 4* hotel. I like the hunguest hotels chain, and this was not the level of quality they offer in other of their hotels I have been to. The minibar was leaking and made carpet wet. It was fully ice covered inside so it couldn’t work well, called the front office, promised a fix, never happened so I didn’t use it (the prices were good though)

Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great, we had both breakfast and dinner and they were amazing, with tasty diverse food. We enjoyed the indoor aqua park with the two available slides, the jacuzzies, and the saunas. The outdoor thermal waters were very nice as well, but the weather was a bit too hot to enjoy them to the fullest.

The room cleaning usually started quite early in the morning and we would sometimes get woken up by the sounds.

This modern hotel facing the castle offers their guests large breakfast and dinner buffet in the price of the hotel. The price also includes access to the large, community swimming pool and thermal water pools. It is ideal for families with children, couples and groups. It is conveniently located about a 10 minute walk to the historical downtown section. One of the things that I enjoyed about this hotel was that in the evenings the guests are entertained with live music performance. My favorite was the man who played Spanish and Gypsie music. He created a fun atmosphere. The lobby also hosts some very nice art work by a local artists. Gylula is a city that has a lot to offer their visitors. I think, it was one of the loveliest cities I have seen in Hungary and also one of the cleanest. I especially liked visiting the museum next door that showed how the Hungarian aristocracy used to live.

I think, for the price, it would have been nice if the drinks such as tea, and juices were included with the dinner price. I appreicate it very much that the hotel gave me a room with a balcony facing the castle. It was a nice experience.

Fantastic stay at the resort. The hotels spa and sauna was an additional bonus for us to add to our relaxing time. It was nice to see the inside children’s play centre and a lovely new playground across the park. Food was outstanding, it wasn’t a problem to cater for dietary needs. We love Gyula and resort, keen visitors of the town with our family twice a year.

The gym is poorly equipped, need some attention.

Everything was ok, the hotel, location, the bath, the town, it is our fifth visit to Gyula and we chose the same hotel due to the facilities that it offers.

Since it is the fifth time that we stayed at this hotel , this time the food did not meet our expectations, something was different and we did not like the food at all.
