Very clean room, very friendly and helpful staff.

The doors looking out to the car park one door would not close. After some difficulty my husband managed to close the door because we could hear the people outside in the car park. Once it was closed we couldn’t hear so much. The bath in the room didn’t have shower gel or soap only in the shower. The hotel is lovely and friendly and breakfast in the morning was very nice and a huge selection. Overall we had a good time and would not hesitate to go book again.

Our room was great, with a very nice view to the canal and water fountain. The bathroom was large and recently remodelled. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bike storage area was quite large and convenient. The parking lot, while small, was conveniently located and free.

The only 'complaint' was the water pressure in the shower...it was very inconsistent. At some point, possibly during the off-peak (early morning) the pressure was fine. However, very weak at other times when other people in the building were using it. Quite disappointing.

The location in Sluis was excellent for walking, shopping and dining. It was really very nice to just walk out the door and stroll down the street. One can easily walk to the fish market, the windmill and any number of cute boutiques. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and went out of their way to provide extra services. We enjoyed the tasteful peacock (Paauw) theme/decor. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was spacious, which isn’t always the case at a hotel. Beaches could be reached easily via car in less than 15 minutes. The amazing city of Brugge, Belgium can be reached in just under 30 minutes by car. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Zeeland. Sluis is a lovely city.

The hotel parking lot is fairly small, so the spots were usually occupied. However, extensive public parking is available (for a small fee) right next to the hotel.

It is a very lively hotel with pleasant people, very good food and sometimes even live music. It breathes the family atmosphere, kindness and service we enjoyed a lot. The hotel rooms were very clean and we liked the room as it was designed with the bath and shower being part of the room. Another real asset is the bicycle storage, accessible with your room card and equipped with many power outlets, perfect!

Perfect location, very central yet quiet at night. In case private parking is full, you can park in front for 5eur per day. Private parking well sheltered, perfect to lock bikes in case you rent one for multiple days as we did. Family room big enough for 4 people, big bathroom. It was very hot inside when we arrived but AC is provided so no problem at all. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff, albeit sometimes very very busy with the restaurant (see cons below)

Hotel lacks a separate reception. We arrived around 19 and it was clear that the staff was very busy with the restaurant and we kind of bothered them :-D That being said, check in went super smoothly since they offer online pre-check-in ; and when I signaled that the children beds had not been prepared, everything was settled straight away. It’s just a friendly suggestion to try to set up a different corner than the restaurant cashier desk for the reception. Otherwise a perfect choice for Sluis and the surrounding area!

Great location on the edge of the town centre within walking distance of everything. There was parking by the side of the property, but we got the last space and it was a quiet day. Beautiful room, we chose the couples rather than family room - it had the shower & separate bath in the bedroom which we liked (the toilet has its own room!). There was a spa feel to it, including soft towels and nice toiletries - the shower was wonderful. Large modern tv although we couldn’t get chrome cast to work (we recognise most hotels don’t even have that function) and the Wi-Fi on the top floor might have been too slow to stream anyway. Breakfast was fantastic with pancakes, bacon & 3 types of eggs plus all the usual fruits, breads etc. The rugby-playing guy checking us out was very friendly.

The floor was sandy, probably because there’s building work outside. The builders also woke us up at 07:15 by shouting. But we probably wouldn’t have heard that if the window was closed and it’ll be finished soon anyway. Reception could have been better marked, both from the front/restaurant, and the side/parking. The lady checking us in could have been a little more welcoming. The worst thing for us though (and we know it’s a matter of taste) was the coffee at breakfast - helpfully marked as ‘strong’ and ‘soft’ but both were really strong to us (undrinkable to one of us) and we weren’t offered a cappuccino. There was only tea in the room. All niggles though, a really nice place.

For starter the location is great, right by the town center yet quiet to have a good night sleep. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. Parking was easy and on the premises. The room was modern with a very comfortable bed and shower. The temperature in the room was easy to control, and it remained nice and dark in the morning in the room so don't forget to set your alarm :) I also ate at the restaurant and it was my kind of cooking. The menu is right sized with the relevant classics so anyone can enjoy it. My chosen dishes were cooked absolutely perfectly, and seasoned just right. I also liked it that they serve beers from local breweries.

It was a great stay, but if I have to be picky, I would say that I'm no fan of the music in the restaurant. I appreciate we are close to the border with Belgium, but there were too many French chansons being played. Yup, music taste was rather Belgian in my opinion, and also old-fashioned.

We loved the hotel. Warm, friendly and welcoming. Our room for 2 adults and our 2 children was the perfect size for our short stay. Our bed was comfortable and large. The childrens bunk beds were comfortable too. Bathroom was an excellent size with rainfall walk in shower and a very large bath too. Room offered TV, A/C or heating, tea/coffee (although we didn't use these), and a bottle of water each guest. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. We also loved the breakfast. Plenty of choices. Most importantly, our children loved it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip or recommend to others. As a fussy traveller with high expectations, I don't always recommen, but I would at this hotel.

The bedroom overlooked the main street and restaurant downstairs. We were in room 22. I think I'd try to get an alternative one next time as it was a little louder than I'd like. Honestly can't complain about this though. It wasn't too noisy to sleep for my family. Something else we discovered on our trip was hat very few places offered English translation of things much as menus, instructions in the hotels etc. It would be good to see more of this next time with tourist destinations.

5th time staying here, a lovely place for me and hubby to get away for our us time. Friendly staff as usual. Fantastic breakfast

Again I booked a double bed and followed with a message to please give us a double not 2 single beds, alas 2 singles again that move easily each time. I asked the lovely gentleman in reception he told me there are rooms with double beds but they are fully booked to talk to the boss. I honestly do not believe the floors are cleaned before check in.

Beautiful modern room, good Air conditioning. Plenty of space. In a lovely area at the tip of the village. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Friendly and helpful Staff. Everywhere was very clean. Good food in the restaurant/Bar Service was laid back and just right.

Not keen on the Bathtub sat in the bedroom near the bed.
