Beautiful location about 20 minutes drive outside Lucca on very small roads. Superb view of an evening overlooking the valley. Charming , helpful staff, some with very good English. Nice room with all usual facilities ( no bath though) only shower. Great breakfast. Nice pool. Very quiet & peaceful location. 2 restaurants within 20 minutes walk.

The location is up a winding country road in the foothills. You really do need your own car. The hotel restaurant is not open every day. Parking could be tight when there are many other guests.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was served either inside or on the terrace, depending on the weather. We very much liked the suite we stayed in (the one without the garden).

We have originally booked the suite with the garden, but that one was to dark for our taste.

Very comfortable small hotel in the hills above Lucca.

Unfortunately, the chef was sick during our stay and the restaurant was closed for dinner. The reportedly excellent restaurant was a big reason for our booking.

We loved everything about the hotel. The location, the food, the staff - beautiful Tuscany at its finest, and a hidden treasure.

This is beautiful property in a great location outside of Lucca. The staff was very attentive kind and helpful with any needs and suggestions. the pool is clean and comfortable and the Aperol spritz are flowing at pool time in the afternoons. Breakfast was great too. We were in town for a wedding at a villa down the street within walking distance.

It would have been great if the restaurant had been completely open. The Light suppers were great but a more substantial meal would have been fantastic. But I understand that off season this would have been difficult, we were the only guests.

loved the wonderfully helpful staff, the food( albeit limited menu ) was amazing. rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean - only glitch for some guests could be that there were several steps up to the en-suite bathroom - but we loved it there

The hotel is the most welcoming small hotel we have stayed in recently. The breakfast was great and the terrace and pool were perfect fort he size of the hotel. The bets part of the hotel was the staff who were superb - welcoming and cheery every day.

The only small criticism I would have was the fact the restaurant was not open. When travelling to a wonderful place in the mountains overlooking Lucca, and the Hotel advertises Luxury Hotel and Restaurant, there is an anticipation of the restaurant being open. The 2 restaurants recommended were both good but one was a drive away and the hotel selection was made based on relaxing, without driving, once arrived.

There was noise in the mornings and it was very hard to get a taxi to downtown.
