Great location, very comfortable, the staff were exceptional and breakfast is highly recommended too. We had a few requests and the staff were most helpful. Replies were very prompt etc We would go there again in a heartbeat Sincere thanks to Fabrizio, Claudia, Nicolo and all of the staff members whose names we don't know NOTE : All of the rooms at Hotel Diana are on the ground floor, so no worries about stairs , lack of lift etc. This was very important for us. We arrived by train from Pisa. The hotel is easy to find, thanks to the helpful map provided by staff. It's just a short walk from train station and just inside the historical centre walls. Lots of great cafe's , bars and restaurants nearby.

This was a good value. Very comfortable, and the staff were great! Exceptionally clean. The is a good variety and even American coffee offered for breakfast. The location was perfect- nothing was too far for walking, including the train station (10-15min). This hotel is part of another where the reception and breakfast are located. Our host walked us to the room and helped with the bags. No complaints!

The only small thing is that you need to go outside and down the street to the main building for breakfast. We usually get a coffee to bring back to our room and couldn’t do that.

The hotel was approximately 10 minute walk from the train station. We followed instructions for check in & when we arrived we were greeted so welcoming by Claudia. She is a wonderful asset to the hotel. Claudia then walked us to our room which was located in another building, and provided instructions for looking around Lucca. We had a lovely room, comfortable bed & the bathroom was very spacious. We really liked the addition of the prints on the bedroom walls. Breakfast was a good selection of continental style foods. We highly recommend this property. It was a relaxed stay after the busy big cities.

Brilliant location within the city wall with easy access to train station as well as all the inner city wall sites. I arrived before the check in time and my room was ready and they were able to let me check in early with a very friendly receptionist Carlo, who took my bags and showed me to my room in the annex area of the property. The room was easy access, clean, comfortable with good AC. Breakfast was traditional European breakfast with meats, cheese, pastries, juices, cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc but it’s a good little start for the day.

The staff were lovely and welcoming. The location from the centre and the station was amazing. Very good air con. The bed was very comfortable. The room was only 6 steps above the ground. Excellent choice of food for breakfast.

The room was quite dark ( but this did keep it cool). The bathroom needed a new shower unit as the water leaked all over the floor when we used it. Also the shower needed tiling and a proper base unit rather than painted walls and floor. No tea or coffee making facility in room. You had to walk around the corner to sister hotel for breakfast. This was OK while we were there as weather was good.

This is a delightful, small hotel with many interesting features/pictures and artefacts. It also has an interesting musical history as Boccherini lived in the building and Puccini, when very young, played the piano there. All the staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had an interesting selection of cereals and pastries.

We liked everything about the property.

We liked our room. . The location was perfect for our 1 night stay. The room was very clean, we were able to upgrade the room for 10 euros for one with a balcony. The staff were very nice, let us check in earlier, helped with the luggage and let us leave it after check out. It was very good value for what we have paid. We recommend it.

We could hear when people from the upstairs room would flush the toilet and we would hear people who were walking and talking in the staircase.

One of the most wonferful hotels we have stayed in Italy. The breakfast was truly amazing with a wide range of options, and everything was freshly made. Would recommend it to everyone to book it. We were offered also a room upgrade in the dependence, and the room was very spacious and modern with great decor. Everything was also super clean. The staff is also very nice, helpful and really professional. We loved our whole stay. It was perfect.Thank you!

Nothing - The hotel, staff and breakfast is truly amazing.

Location was exceptional. Within the city walls of Lucca close to restaurants, cafe's and quite accessible from the train station. Room was cosy and warm. Staff were brilliant. Provided me with an easy guide to my room despite my late arrival and the closing of reception. Very grateful for this.

Not to be negative as it didn't affect my stay but there was some construction going on beside my window which I guess was out of the control of the hotel

Great location a short walk from the train station, next to the city walls and a short walk to the town centre. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We arrived early and the host was very accommodating. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was respectable for the money.

Nothing really, rooms were very basic but for the price we can’t complain. A kettle would have been nice to make a drink but that’s about it.
