Good location within the old walled town but easy to get in and out. We were very early and they allowed us to check in. Nice helpful staff who assisted in booked a taxi. For 20€ We used the garage to park the cars and had a key fob to get in and out when needed but parking was available close by also. Close enough to walk to everything and meander through the beautiful streets. Hotel room was spacious and good value. Close to Pisa airport, only 30 mins by toll road.

A kettle would have been nice to make a cuppa tea or coffee.

We loved the decor. The beds were SO comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Great shower. Bonus of a lift to get your luggage up to your room. The position within the city of Lucca was amazingly convenient. We adored Lucca, and would highly recommend staying at B&B Relais Inn.

Clean, comfortable en-suite double room with air-conditioning. Basic furniture with a fridge with water supplied. Inside the city walls in a quiet location, our room was over next doors eatery but with doubled glazed windows noise was minimal. A continental breakfast served daily with plenty of choices, including yogurt, fruit, cereals and cake. The staff spoke good English and were very welcoming and attentive. I would definitely recommend this B&B and there is a lift which is a bonus as in Lucca many of the hotels don’t have them.

A lovely hotel with friendly accommodating staff. Close to local bars, cafes and restaurants. The room was comfortable and well furnished.

The Osteria next door was very noisy until 1am on Fri and Sat nights.

The location was great - 10 mins from the station on foot and a few mins from the busy centre, while also being close to the wall for a morning and evening passeggiata around the city. The room was perfect - lovely decor and clean linen, towels, etc. I particularly valued having a wardrobe and some additional hanging hooks on the wall for dresses and blouses. The onsite team - fabulous! Always cheerful and willing to have a chat about whatever, whilst also being super helpful and going above and beyond (e.g. checking the status of trains, providing mosquito repellent for the room even though I had just had one buzz around me!, baggage storage on my last day).

Not a big issue at all - just a warning for the impatient or nervous. The lift can be rather slow. I was on the first floor so didn't really need it but, arriving after hours, I took the lift to my room due to a heavy case - for a brief moment I was worried I was stuck and no-one was around to help, but then the doors opened and all was well again!

When I arrived late on my first night, I had been given instructions on how to enter the accommodation as there were no staff there after about 7 pm. Being on my own, tired from travelling, I was a bit worried that I might not be able to get in. However, it was very straightforward and my keys were waiting for me on the reception desk. My room was lovely and very typically Italian. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was perfect in the morning and offered everything you could have wanted. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal. I would definitely book again if I come back to Lucca.

The hotel is lovingly decorated, the staff were all absolutely fantastic - helped me out with a sticky issue I had. Nothing was a problem. Could not have felt more at home. And everything was spotless. I didn’t sign up for their breakfast, but it smelt good! Also, the restaurant next does amazing food - not your standard Italian fare….just wow!

Hard pillows - seems to be a thing in Italy. Something that did bother me was a couple and their toddler who arrived back late (11.45pm) and made so much noise they woke me up. I actually thought they were right outside my door, but they weren’t, there was a thin party wall between us. It went on and on for nearly half an hour. Not really the hotel’s fault - you can’t legislate against inconsiderate people, but maybe do something about insulating the wall?

a great location, less than ten minutes walk from the train station but inside the walls. Lucca is very small so you can easily walk around the whole town from this location. I was on the first floor and didn't find any street noise. staff were very helpful.

The desk staff were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical Italian - good selection of cold items and cappuccino. The weather was cool, so we were glad that the heatpump warmed our room nicely. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We liked that there was an elevator.

Location. A good starting point for walking the walls. The optional breakfast is very good with a large variety of foods. The staff was outstanding in their help. Eventually after struggling to find the hotel, a staff member came out and found me and my car and took me to the hotel’s garage.

It was a difficult place to find, even the GPS did a poor job of finding it. The pillows were heavy, hard and lumpy.
