In this beautiful city of Lucca, the apartment was absolutely perfect. It matched and exceeded our needs for where we were and what we were doing. Location, size, facilities, fridge, cooker, AC, bathroom, WiFi, cost, vibe etc etc were all great. There might be the odd quibble here and there, but in the scheme of things, they’re nothing of note. Having stayed in a lot of different hotels etc in many parts of the world, this was a bit more special than most! If you’re a musician or music lover, you’ll like the proximity to the Piazza Napoleone (50 m), plus there’s an excellent little Irish Pub about 20 m away. Were there problems with noise? No. For me it was remarkably quiet when the windows and shutters were closed, except for when a concert might have been playing. But this is a plus not a minus for me.

The location, the price, the cleanliness and it was comfortable. There was coffee and some food for a few breakfasts which I appreciated.

The bathroom shower was small for a long stay. It would be okay for a shorter stay, but it gets annoying after a while. The kitchen was fairly well supplied with cooking supplies, but there were no knives for cutting up food just a couple of steak knives and no vegetable peeler. Again, if you were there for a shorter stay, that would probably not be a problem. I did not want to eat all my meals in restaurants for thevthree weeks I was in Lucca

The pictures didn’t do the property justice. I thought it was going to be dark and dull as that what it looks like in the photos. But, the property was light and airy, the location was fantastic. Very secure, close to everything. The shutters made blocking out the light wonderful, perfect for a lie in. I would stay here again!

A little cold at night, but the extra blankets helped. Then the weather got warmer and we were too warm! 😂 There is an aircon unit in the living room area

There is so much Old World charm caught up within these walls. Massimiliano was an exceptional host, providing suggestions for going out to eat, giving options regarding where to have laundry done, and offering an alternative to stay when we had hoped to add another night but the room was already booked. My wife and I have done quite a bit of traveling and our time here was beyond compare.

Being six foot two in height, the door frames were a bit low, but bumping my head was a mistake I made only once.

From the beginning communication was excellent. Just prior to arrival, clear instructions and photos were provided to help find and enter the property. The apartment was clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The air con was excellent and appreciated in a hot August. Location was great, close to one of the city gates. 5 minutes walk or so from the train station. Pisa is only 30minutes away and Florence around 2 hours (including time to change trains). Cafés and restaurants on the doorstep were all excellent, including a vegetarian pasta places, absolutely delicious. A big bonus for me was the apartment was 300m from the start for parkrun. A fabulous run walk around the city walls. All in all we couldn't ask for more. Grazie mille Massimillano.

Erm.... nothing, everything was great.

Situated within the walled city the gorgeously renovated Suite Sofia is in a fantastic location just minutes from the station so not far if hauling heavy suitcases. With a corner view we were pleasantly surprised to find this well-equipped accommodation had a separate bedroom and was hosted by Massimiliano who provided us with lots of tips on places to eat for lunch and dinner...which we did visit. He was the most accommodating host and was contactable if we had any questions. I can honestly say that it was by far the best accommodation we stayed in during our whistle stop tour of Tuscany.

Absolutely nothing. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Lucca in the future.

We really loved this studio apartment, in an attractive historical building, with a gorgeous wooden beamed ceiling, well equipped kitchen, nice stylish interior, and it was also nice to find some coffee and little breakfast toasts and jam that had been left for us. The apartment is right within the city walls. It is just a short distance from the train station, and so central you can walk everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay there. Super, friendly communication with the host Massimiliano, who was in constant contact if we needed, he recommended an amazing pizza place a few minutes away by foot, 'Da Umberto' it was great. Thank you Massimiliano for your kind ways! Hope we will be back! Lucca is perfect! Naty & Kevin ;-)

No complaints from us!

Location was fabulous and surprisingly quiet for being in such a prime area. Access to wall, main gate, and shopping/restaurant streets was excellent. Bed was good, pillows a little hard. Kitchen was well equipped. Water was very hot very quickly. Shower was nice, great pressure.

Better pillows would have made it perfect.

Lovely clean apartment in great location. Easy 400m walk from train station. Owner very helpful in giving instructions to enter apartment and promptly replying to queries via Whatsapp. Added bonus was Tuscany Parade that we watched out our window. Amazing.

Stairs up to first floor and into apartment and small bathroom wouldn't suit people with disabilities.

Excellent location, close to the train station, cafes, restaurants, and the wall. The studio was spacious and very clean. The kitchenette was great for making snacks. There's also a fantastic family owned cafe just a few steps away that we loved, called Caffè del Teatro. The bed was large and comfortable. The host was very helpful and answered our queries promptly. It felt like a home away from home. We would stay here again.

Shower was a bit small.
