Excellent location in the center of the main square. The balcony gives you a Birds Eye view of the. It’s street below and the sounds of the street musicians. The location is also very close walk to the wall and the Porto Pietro, The Duomo and great shopping and cafe are just a step outside the front door. The apartment is safe and very secure. It is well appointed with a nice kitchen and a large fridge. Nice dining table and LR. Beds were superbly comfortable with great pillows. The AC works great Roberto is a gem and a happy gentleman always ready to assist as needed. Great stay and would return again without hesitation.

Having stayed at Casa Paolina in the past, we had no hesitation in rebooking our summer break. The property is so well situated and convenient for all that Lucca has to offer.

A word of caution : don't assume that you will be allocated the apartment and facilities shown on your booking confirmation. When we checked in we were told that the apartment we thought we had booked was not available, and that we should have contacted the property directly before our visit to confirm what we needed. Roberto kindly did his best to accommodate our needs, but the misunderstanding meant we had to move apartments during our stay, and that we didn't enjoy the facilities of the apartment we thought we had booked for the whole of our break. It's a pity that this experience marred an otherwise lovely holiday in Lucca.

The apartments are big and spacious and include a living room and kitchenette and good functioning AC. Roberto at front desk is friendly and helpful and had some excellent recommendations for our visit. Also we loved being close to Via Filungo shopping street and also easy access to Lucca walls for morning workouts.

The bathroom needs to be desperately remodeled! I could barely fit in shower without hitting my head. We were on the first floor and the noise from Piazza Napoleone was loud until 2am some nights. There was also a party one night in a bar across the apt with very loud music.

Located in the heart of the action. Summer festival concert situated in the piazza beneath us was a surprise, and although loud, the music terminated at 23h00 and the area was cleared up. Festive vibe. Great apartment, with good aircon. The 'stack-away' kitchen was not what I was expecting, but was impressively well equipped and functional. Comfortable bedrooms and living/dining area, and bathrooms. Building has a large quick elevator. Exceptional host, Roberto - the best welcome we received during our Italian travels - who guided us by car to the apartment to deliver our luggage. Engaging, informative, helpful and sincere - recommended us to the best pizza place of our trip.

Robert! He made the stay comfortable. Spoke great english. From arrival. he was at his office to help with luggage, check in, and instructions of apartment. Always answered our text on anything we wanted or needed within minutes. There was absolutely no issues. There was a lift to the second floor. All the necessities you needed were available. There was a market a few minute walk. Room was quiet. All windows opened for fresh air. Taxi to train station coming and going was easy. Location was perfect. Restaurants plentiful within a minute or two.

No english TV. NOT a big deal.

Roberto the owner was really nice and helped us with directions. This is a plus becuase it is not very easy to find the way to get to the hotel if you don´t really know the city and you are not italian. we like the big rooms and how the apartment is in the middle of downtown. we love to stay there even thought was a little bit noise. The apartment was very cosy! we will go back for sure.

I understood they had a parking lot and they don´t. They have a near by one, so it is not very practical to stop in the middle of downtownm unload the car with the kids and take the car tho the parking spot... but it is not a bid deal. everything else was great

Everything was great - for us the location was great being so central so we could get around easily both in Lucca and also to the station to visit other towns and cities. The facilities of the apartment were also as we would expect for a holiday as we went out for most of our meals. It was very nice to have a balcony for a coffee in the morning.

My friend found it a little noisy at the weekend especially at night for sleeping but otherwise it was good.

Very pretty apartment in the heart of town. If you stay here be sure to reserve parking if you bring a car, and get really good directions from the staff in writing before you come. We had a tough time getting to the place, in a down pour. But it was worth it. So lovely. The restaurant under the tree in front was amazing.

The rooms on the outside have sweet balconies but also a lot of street noise from the square. You may like the rooms in the back if noise is an issue.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Paolina- the location was central, the apartment was comfortable and our requests for a quiet with balcony were accommodated without issue. Our host Roberto was exceptional in his communication and assistance in all ways. I smashed my phone during our stay and Roberto organised to have it repaired within 24 hours at a very reasonable cost. He went above and beyond with all our requests. Thanks Roberto!!

All was excellent

Great apartment with central location. Roberto was very helpful and friendly giving us the best directions from train station as some roads were closed when we arrived due to cycling competition. The apartment was super clean and ideal as a base to explore Lucca

As a party of 4 ladies the apartment could have done with another bathroom. It might have been a bit of a stretch if 6 had been staying. Not a complaint as we knew this before we went and everything else was fab
