Beautiful decor Spacious room with lovely terraces and views Good location Well appointed Great staff

Well this is going to sound very picky and very English but I think in this day and age having the possibility to watch sports events and films after a long days sightseeing, to amuse the kids, get in out of the rain for a while and make the most of the gorgeous room we would have really appreciated some channels in English that weren’t just news. Were huge sports fans and none were available ditto the film channels, other than that no complaints

Wonderful hotel in a stunning central location in Lucca. Close to the station and shops/restaurants. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Air-conditioning worked well. The breakfast choices were good and the coffee excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The shower was a little dated and the steps up and down to the bathroom weren't ideal, particularly at night as it meant you needed a light on the get to the bathroom. I appreciate this may not be the case for every room and it was really a minor thing for us.

We stayed in room 23 on the ground floor adjacent to the restaurant kitchen so very noice at night up till midnight. A hotel of this standard and price should not expose guests to this disturbance and inconvenience. We were unable to change room as the hotel was fully booked. The breakfast was fine but not of a quality in line with the hotel standards and ratings. You find the same variety and quality of produce in 3 star hotels.

Centrally located in Lucca - and connected to a restaurant with both indoor and patio seating.

We paid for an “upgrade” from a standard room to a Junior Suite - only to find our room was not large enough to even open two suitcases without having to re-purpose the dresser to accommodate date one of them - ie FAR from the space one would expect from a “Junior Suite”. When we brought this up the front desk insisted we had indeed been given an upgraded room . . .

Small hotel in a good central location. Rooms have been updated with stylish, modern & quality fittings. The same for the public area's, very good quality. Continental breakfast. Staff very helpful.

Could be a problem with noise for some people later at night. The outside restaurant is very popular and open to non residents,this is on one side of the building, on the other side of the building the kitchen staff "hang" around outside shouting when finished work. However, all noise stopped by midnight.

Almost impossible to get your car to the hotel. We had to call the manager to come and get us. The streets were very narrow and one way etc. Google Maps was totally useless as some streets were closed and could not find us another route to travel, The manager was amazing and came as soon as we called. The problem is if you take a car there with the intent to take your car out for road trips, it isn’t really a good idea. We had to stay in the area and leave our car where it was parked. Our recommendation is park outside the walled city and take a taxi to the hotel.

We had such an amazing stay at The Tuscanian, probably one of the best rooms we've ever stayed in. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was lovely with amazing views, it had a fantastic bathroom and lots of little touches that helped make our stay special. It's extremely close to the major sites of Lucca, and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The restaurant/bar section didn't seem as up to par with the rest of the hotel experience. They weren't able to charge stuff to the room as they said it was separate, and the breakfast was a little subpar, so I'd suggest not including breakfast in your stay and going to one of the many nearby cafes instead.

The hotel is quite beautiful. We loved our room, it felt very elegant. We had a view of the street below and the church next door but there really was no noise. The breakfast was good. I really enjoyed the excellent breads. It wasn't huge assortment but it was good. We stopped in the restaurant for a Limoncello in the evening and it was really nice. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked good.

We got a recommendation for a restaurant and it was the only meal we were disappointed with the whole time we were in Lucca.

Our first stay for a three week tour through many areas in Italy. This site was recommended by our friends who travel very often. They said it is an excellent introduction to Italian history, culture, pacing, food, people, and an easy pace. We loved our stay here within the walled city. Everything is close in proximity. The hotel restaurant is exceptional, breakfast and dinner were our times to eat here. Marvelous style, great servers, and treatment to customers. The manager is very helpful with the local sites, things to do, and especial stories about Lucca history. We moved onto to Florence which was excellent, though we missed our Lucca and the hotel, riding bikes, gelato etc.

This site offers plenty I can't think of any improvement.

The hotel was centrally located and offered parking which was a bonus. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel and is very chic and comfortable. The town is only a few minutes away on foot which was great. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant attached to the hotel which was an authentic experience. The rooms had great beds which made for a good nights sleet. Breakfast was simple and well appointed around the bar area. There were pastries, meats, juices and coffees offered.

The roads are narrow by the hotel; be aware when taking a car as you may need staff assistance to go down a one way system to exit. The hotel staff were amazingly helpful as our car was too large!
