The room was quite expansive and had a large double alongside two single beds. There was an in room safe and two sizeable lockable wardrobes. The bathroom was separated by two doors from the bedroom. The bathroom had suitable supplies, good quality and highly absorbent towels, with a strong, powerful shower. The windows had curtains and shutters. The location was just a few minutes from the railway station, about twenty minutes from the bus station and navigation to anywhere in the city was easy. For us, it was ideal to reach the Saturday morning parkrun on the city walls. Breakfast was simple and more than adequate. Access to the hot drinks all day was a bonus. There was a fridge in the room to cool water tec if needed. All the staff encountered were very friendly

Super comfy bed and pillows. Spacious room. Good breakfast selection for a small establishment, with choice of fresh fruit. Pleasant quiet location, but also close to useful local shops, cafes and restaurants in one direction and not far from the historic centre of Lucca in the other. I was very grateful for the manageress's advice on restaurants and help in getting a taxi early on my last day.

There was a variety of croissants and pastries for breakfast, which are wasted on me; I'd have appreciated a choice of bread too. My room had only a desk chair: I'd have liked some sort of easy chair as well. Also, the room was quite dark, though that might be a plus point in hot weather. There is a good shortcut from the station, but the footpath is not one I'd recommend taking for the first time after dark or when pulling a case.

If you want to sleep with the window open although a quite location in the evening / early morning can be very noisy. Flats opposite only c 8 m away and you can hear all the shouting, loud music etc. very noisy locking mechanism to front door when customers return late in the evening. Beds too hard

Very helpful friendly host. The room was huge (clearly a family room) at the top. Very clean, very nice bathroom, good shower. We didn't use it but there was a sort of mini kitchen inside a cupboard. We had a nice breakfast in the courtyard garden. Parking was free and inside locked gates around the corner which was a bonus in the location. Ten minute walk to restaurants and an unexpectedly large, beautiful, quite modern town centre. A short walk to get up onto the ramparts to walk around the city which was a must. Stunning city, well worth a visit.

As with a lot of places the sockets were in odd places. There was a mix between normal Euro socket and Italian sockets. It was a bit dark in the room, so perhaps stronger bulbs. As there was a mini kitchen a mini refrigerator would have been nice.

We arrived earlier and wanted to leave our bags at the front desk, but our room was already ready so we could enter it at that time. It was a big and positive surprise, and we really appreciated it. We really enjoyed our stay. The place is clean, located within the city walls and close distance to the train station. It was also quiet at night which was important for us. Everyone was very friendly. Definitely recommended!

The B & B is ideally located inside the old town of Lucca and only short walk from the Stazione, and very easy to find. The B & B upgraded us to the large family room (at zero extra cost) with kitchenette. It was terrific and very spacious while the self catering facilities although limited allowed us to prepare our evening meals. The room was on the second floor so their were stairs to negotiate but the staff carried our bags up the stairs. The breakfast provided was good with cereal, yoghurt, cold meats & cheese and pastries and a good coffee machine which was available all day. Would certainly recommend the B & B for a stay in Lucca but next time I would book the self catering room.

Nothing really to fault.

The location was brilliant. Quiet with excellent access to the station on foot, inside the city wall, close to the cathedral and the Piazza Napoleone where we were attending a concert. The staff was very nice and we were able to leave our luggage in reception after checking out. The room was fairly bare but clean and had the essential facilities.

A little stuffy at night despite air conditioning. Getting the toilet flush to work was a bit hit and miss. Breakfast was quite good, but we were disappointed with the morning coffee as it came from a vending-type machine.

Did exactly what I needed- a comfortable bed and space for one night within Lucca in a good location. Staff was friendly.

Small room, but I really didn’t need much and for one night it was good. I was on the first floor right next to the front desk so I could hear the phone or doorbell ring or conversations at the front desk: however, those were very few.

The staff went out of their way to help me with all my needs. Eg I was allowed to check out 1.5 hours later than the usual time, as the room was still free. This was great as I could go for a bike ride then come back and change. I was allowed to bring my bike in as I checked out, to use their adapter to charge my phone, and get changed in the room after I had checked out. If has a peaceful and quiet ambiance. It feels like you are the only guest and are fully attended to. Very relaxing. The bed and bedding was superb. So comfortable. The bar that is open for snacks and hot drinks as you want them, at no charge, was a welcome addition. Great location. Good breakfast, nice selection of continental breakfast, and the gluten free options were relatively varied. Fantastic service. Highly recommend.

The room was a bit small but there was only one of me so I could manage. If you were on the larger side you might not fit in the shower of the one person room. The shower is nice and has good power and hot water, but there's not much space to move your arms eg to wash your hair.

The staff (Ornella & Christina) were wonderful! So kind and very helpful. The parking situation is ideal. For a small fee, we parked in a lot behind the property which was very easy to navigate. It would be helpful to tell customers before their stay that they can drive into the restricted zones because the property gives you a permit when you arrive which is retroactive. We had a little stress not knowing that beforehand, but it worked out perfectly!
