The hotel is a few minutes walk to the centre of the city and all restaurants / bars and attractions. The train station is a 7 minute walk. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was included which was served between 08.00 and 10.00 and consisted of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, pastries, hams, cheeses and eggs. There was a coffee / drinks machine available to guests free of charge all day. The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful / friendly. The hotel is situated in a quiet street so no disturbance at night - reception is available from 07.00 - 19.00 and the ladies were very helpful. I would stay again.

The room was quite expansive and had a large double alongside two single beds. There was an in room safe and two sizeable lockable wardrobes. The bathroom was separated by two doors from the bedroom. The bathroom had suitable supplies, good quality and highly absorbent towels, with a strong, powerful shower. The windows had curtains and shutters. The location was just a few minutes from the railway station, about twenty minutes from the bus station and navigation to anywhere in the city was easy. For us, it was ideal to reach the Saturday morning parkrun on the city walls. Breakfast was simple and more than adequate. Access to the hot drinks all day was a bonus. There was a fridge in the room to cool water tec if needed. All the staff encountered were very friendly

Very good value for money in a quiet building within the city walls, in a fascinating city. The room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was greatly appreciated with the hot weather. Coffee machine is available. I didn't have breakfast as there were cafes close by for a coffee and cornetto.

It's an older building with issues typical of older buildings - the shower takes a long time to heat up, old building noises - that sort of thing. Focus on value and location - not luxury.

It was a beautiful old building, full of character in a fantastic location inside the City Walls. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great breakfast too, and only a 10 minute walk from the train station so was so easy to connect with other beautiful places for a day trip: Florence, Pisa, Viareggio etc. A true gem of an accommodation and can't recommend it enough!

Super comfy bed and pillows. Spacious room. Good breakfast selection for a small establishment, with choice of fresh fruit. Pleasant quiet location, but also close to useful local shops, cafes and restaurants in one direction and not far from the historic centre of Lucca in the other. I was very grateful for the manageress's advice on restaurants and help in getting a taxi early on my last day.

There was a variety of croissants and pastries for breakfast, which are wasted on me; I'd have appreciated a choice of bread too. My room had only a desk chair: I'd have liked some sort of easy chair as well. Also, the room was quite dark, though that might be a plus point in hot weather. There is a good shortcut from the station, but the footpath is not one I'd recommend taking for the first time after dark or when pulling a case.

This is perfect for a short stay in Lucca. It is in a great location right beside the Duomo. It is on a very quiet street. Staff were very friendly. We were able to check in early and could leave our bags after check out. Our family room was spacious, beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice. Breakfast was good and we were lucky enough to get a table in the small garden.

Location was great, inside the walls but on a quiet street, very near the train station as well. They let us leave our baggage and check in early, for which we were very grateful. Nice place for a short stay.

A bit noisy as you can hear other residents moving around and talking. Breakfast table was quite modest, but I guess you get what you pay for.

If you want to sleep with the window open although a quite location in the evening / early morning can be very noisy. Flats opposite only c 8 m away and you can hear all the shouting, loud music etc. very noisy locking mechanism to front door when customers return late in the evening. Beds too hard

Very helpful friendly host. The room was huge (clearly a family room) at the top. Very clean, very nice bathroom, good shower. We didn't use it but there was a sort of mini kitchen inside a cupboard. We had a nice breakfast in the courtyard garden. Parking was free and inside locked gates around the corner which was a bonus in the location. Ten minute walk to restaurants and an unexpectedly large, beautiful, quite modern town centre. A short walk to get up onto the ramparts to walk around the city which was a must. Stunning city, well worth a visit.

As with a lot of places the sockets were in odd places. There was a mix between normal Euro socket and Italian sockets. It was a bit dark in the room, so perhaps stronger bulbs. As there was a mini kitchen a mini refrigerator would have been nice.

We arrived earlier and wanted to leave our bags at the front desk, but our room was already ready so we could enter it at that time. It was a big and positive surprise, and we really appreciated it. We really enjoyed our stay. The place is clean, located within the city walls and close distance to the train station. It was also quiet at night which was important for us. Everyone was very friendly. Definitely recommended!
