This room is in the middle of the old town. It means that you are always in the heart of Lucca, so everything is near, streets, walls, trattorias, culture,...etc. but it means that there is no silence, only at dawn and early mornings. You get to this room during a lovely little square from Via Roma, really romantic. Then you have to climb 30-40 steps, in a narrow corridor, but it worth the effort. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, Fridge is a little box, perfect for water, or some food. Little screen TV, if it matters. Bathroom was clean also. They clean the room and the bathroom every day, new towels and extra toilet papers! Ventilator is on the ceiling, low-mid-fast. We arrive in Lucca in the morning, and asked if we can leave our luggages until we can check-in in the afternoon. We had to wait 5-10 minutes and a young man came, opened the door, so we can leave our luggage ther, they were really helpful. All in all, it is a great accomodation if you don't want to stay in a fancy hotel, so let's go and book it now and you can enjoy everything Lucca can offer. Thanks!

Very centrally located, though it is slightly hidden if you try to find it on the map. You have to take a small alleyway and then turn left - it'll be the very last door at the end. Lucca is a small place, so this was a perfect place to be. Loads of shops, cafes basically 2 minutes away from our door.

As some people have mentioned already, the stairs may be a bit of mission for some people to go up and down, especially if you have big luggage (we didn't). But contrary to what someone said, there is a small landing after the first set in case you need to catch your breath. :-)

The owner willingness to satisfy his customers. He stop doing what he was doing and let me in early. I had read the check in time wrong. I also witnessed how kind he was to two mature ladies. Providing refreshments and with a happy attitude. He gets a A+ in my book.

I know from the way he treated me and others he will do all he can to make us comfortable and he did. But know one can predict when something may or may not work. The ceiling fan in my room was not working, which keeps the rooms cool. So he provided a fan. It helped, but not as good as the ceiling fan.

I arrived early and the host arrived immediately to check me in. He even carried my suitcase up the stairs. The room was very welcoming and spacious. The bathroom was also quite large. Good furnishings. Perfect location. Coffee or tea in the morning.

There was no drain in the bathroom floor so you have to be careful how you use the shower. This might be different at other rooms. I had the really large one in the back.

My single room was ideal, quite spacious with a private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and I had everything that I needed (free toiletries, extra pillow, hair dryer, fridge, tv). The location of the property is superb, right in the heart of the medieval town, so perfect for exploring. The host is very nice and helpful too.

Nothing, but some people may struggle with the stairs. There is no lift.

We loved the super-central location 😍 For a short stay - this is perfect! The flat we liked funnily – it is kinda unusual setting but actually looks cool and cosy. The communication with the owner was very simple - if you like to check in and out with minimum words exchanged - this is your stay :)

Even the instructions from the owners seemed very detailed and sufficing, with photos and everything – we still struggled to find the flat as it is really hidden. Nothing too bad, just prepare yourself for some search. Another thing we didn't really fancy is the suicidal, narrow and steep stairway 😅 Once you get out – you better make sure you didn't forget something in the flat as you will not want to go back and forth to the last floor. Also – do not bring big and heavy luggage with you.

We liked the location. The room was alright. Liked the coffee machine and the water dispenser

Didn't like the noise, we had to keep the window open for some air, but it was top noisy. There is no air conditioning. Be careful with the steep staircase to the room, it is not for everyone.

Everything the place is perfect I've been to Lucca over 35 times and this the best value and best location

I read a nonsense review on this property complaining about the stairs, which was scandalous there are only 32 steps. Maybe it was the orange headed lunatic, The Donald. He and his mates should stick to telling lies and cheating at golf

The host Paolo was very accomodating and helpful, especially with an error where I booked a room for x1 person instead of x2 by accident. He was able to problem solve and assist, coming up with a solution for our stay. Very central area, clean, would stay again!

The location was excellent and the receptionist was very helpful. The room had everything I expected. As reception doesn't open till 3pm it is good that you can store your luggage prior to this. The instructions to get in were clear and everything worked smoothly.

Just be aware that there are about 30 steep stairs to negotiate with your luggage.
