I was a little apprehensive having read the comments but I have to say this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It was authentic Italian, traditional, and homey. The staff were sooooo lovely and chatty, the air con was a blessing (having stayed at other places on our journey and it not working) so we loved this. We had a balcony and you can literally walk to the centre in less than 10 minutes. The courtyard restaurant next door is THE place to eat but there are sooooo many other options. It had everything we needed and more (hairdryer) so I cannot wait to return! Yes there are a few flights of stairs but genuinely despite other comments it is absolutely fine. I’m sure if you asked at reception they’d help with luggage (we only had backpacks). Also, the bed was one of the comfiest!!!! Thanks for a great stay!

There is no fault I can think of! If you prefer a face to face check in like we do just message them and they sort it so that people are there.

The room was really nice and comfortable. The smart check-in was also nice and easy to follow. The staff was also nice and the location very close to the leaning tower

We went on a date that the air conditioner was not allowed to be used. I don´t remember to have read anything about that before and the room was hot and with a lot of mosquitos (this seems to be a problem of the whole city, and not only of the hotel). Definitely, that made a little bit uncomfortable our stay. But in general was a great choice for us. I would repeat it

Very close to Pisa tower, Duomo and Battistero, just 4 minutes which was very convenient. The receptionist was very kind and helpful and let us leave our luggage in the cupboard storage on the checkout day, (our flight was late in the evening so it was nice walking around without them).

The room was very noisy, it was on the first floor and we could hear a lot of noises from the road.

Room, clean and fresh, good shower, proximity to Tower of Pisa and restaurants and a 17 minute walk to main Station Pisa Centrale.

We hadn’t realised it was practically un manned, we had a code for the door to get in and a lady came and checked us in and another kind lady carried our heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs to our room. After that we didn’t see anyone. The other downside was they couldn’t book us a taxi to the airport for early the next morning so we ended up walking to the station at 6.30am and getting the shuttle to the airport. It was quite a nice walk. Could have been a problem if it had been pouring with rain. The lady gave us a taxi number we could have phoned just prior to leaving but that was a bit out of my comfort zone and all in Italian of course.

Hotel Cecile is a great value for money hotel in a good location close to the Tower. The bed was comfortable and we weren't disturbed by noise during the night. The bathroom was good and relatively spacious. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

I couldn't find a socket near the kettle so had to move it to plug it in by the bed. We couldn't find how to turn the air conditioning on but in any case it was cool enough at night not to require it.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was stylish and modern. The little extras that I didn't expect but were very good was the aircon unit which was fantastic and the smart TV meaning we could log into Netflix or amazon prime video which so great when you want to relax for a little before bed.

The lack of lighting in the stairwell as once it gets dark outside the stairs are pretty dark which could result in an accident, also the city tax to be paid I would have preferred it to go into an envelope in a little lock box with a small form to say when it was put in the box and a confirmation message to state whether it has been collected or not.

Room was clean and a good size. The beds were very comfortable with blackout blinds it was perfect. Provided a kettle and hairdryer as well. Only small issue was the shower head would not stay facing outwards so would point towards the wall unless held. Other than that the location was great and staff were very friendly, with a simple self check-in process.

Excellent location, literally a four/five minute walk to the Tower. Room was quite basic, but had tea/coffee facilities, comfy bed and a decent shower. Staff were very helpful, especially with keeping out luggage after the 10.30 check-out as our flight back wasn't until 9pm.

I was told the air con couldn't be used until 15th May even though the two days were were there it was 25 degrees.

Excellent location. Walkable distance to the leaning tower and other attractions. Close to Pisa Central station, with good cafe and food options around. Rooms are clean and well maintained, and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this place if you are planning to stay in Pisa.

Breakfast option not available. Though there are some cafes nearby where you can get a good American breakfast.

There was very good communication with the host as we were not arriving until midnight and wondered about self check in. Our flight was delayed and after seeing the long queue for a taxi we decided to walk to the hotel, which was very easy to do. The hotel was close to the Leaning tower of Pisa. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful in the morning and we were able to leave our bags there whilst we visited Pisa. Excellent!
