It is in a prime location next to the Pisa Tower and its cathedrals and attractions. The hotel is also on the Main Street with tonnes of restaurants to choose from, and the automatic door was super helpful for entry when your hands are full with luggage. I loved our stay at Hotel Francesco for many reasons - hot water was on demand for showers (we had issues at previous hotels), and comfy beds. All amenities worked, including the A/C on a fewer of the hotter days there. They offer daily breakfast with a selction of baked breads, cheeses, yogurts, fruits and juice, and even handmade cappuccinos from one of the hotel staff, Laura (grazie mille!!). I was fortunate enough to talk with her for a bit one morning, and not only is she fun to chat with, she gave me many recommendations for things to see and do, and what to avoid. Indrít checked us in on our arrival and was very helpful when we needed miscellaneous things we had forgotten. He too, suggested more events and festivals to visit. Damian was also super friendly and kind every time we passed the front desk and helped us out. I have nothing but good to say about this hotel, and would recommend it to everyone!

Hotel Francesco was a superb hotel. Both Damian & Laura were excellent and we cant thank them enough for a wonderful stay. If you walk out of the hotel and turn left you are around 3 minutes walk to Pisa which is great. Also, if you turn right out of the Hotel you are a 10 to 15 minute walk from Pisa Central station with links to other stations and the shuttle service to the airport. Damian & Laura were brilliant, really welcoming and helpful and thanks Laura for making breakfast so much fun it was wonderful talking to you. Breakfast was lovely and had everything you needed to start your day. Also, thanks for storing our bags so we could see Pisa one last time before we moving on. I would highly recommend Hotel Francesco the staff, room, breakfast and location were amazing and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

The location! Just a short walk 200m from the Pisa tower plaza. On the pedestrian street lined with outdoor cafés and shops. A mini market (convince store) next door. A 5 minute taxi ride (15€) across the river from the train station. The room was on the 2nd floor over the pedestrian sleep. Even with all the people and activities going on during the evening, room was pretty quiet. The room had a small refrigerator, and the air conditioning worked. They offered a small breakfast for 5€ per person. Very basic, croissants, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt cups, some fruit, coffee and juice.

Not really a dislike, just be aware rooms are very small. But, we did not book this with the intent of spending a lot of time in the room. A simple, clean, efficient place to wash up, change, and sleep.

I was very happy with my choice of staying at Hotel Francesco in Pisa. The hotel’s location was perfect—just a 3-4 minute walk from the iconic Dome and Leaning Tower, while also being ideally situated for shopping and dining. We truly enjoyed having everything within such easy reach. The staff was exceptionally helpful, offering great suggestions for places to visit and dine. They went above and beyond by assisting us with booking a taxi for my early morning flight, which made my departure stress-free. The room was impeccably clean and cozy, providing a comfortable stay. One thoughtful gesture that stood out was the breakfast service. Although I hadn’t booked breakfast in advance, the hotel staff generously offered a modest yet satisfying meal, including tea and coffee. This level of hospitality made our experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Hotel Francesco to anyone visiting Pisa!

Location very close to the pisa tower. The staffs are friendly. The isolation of noise for our room is bad, although now it is not the busy season, so the restaurants downstairs are not loud. But we can hear so oft sounds of motocycle during the midnight and in the morning from 6oclcok every 5 to 30minutes motocycle driving on the street and another noise from the streets cleaning car. We have booked two nights there and could not sleep well. for people who are sensible of noise, definitely need earplugs during sleep. Another thing we have figured out accidentally is the WiFi in the hotel blocked some certain videos on YouTube. You have asked the staff about the reason. But she has no ideas about this and said never knew this situation before.

It’s a great space to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast: Breakfast was simple yet delicious, served in a lovely courtyard. Fresh pastries, coffee, and local treats made for a pleasant start to the day. It’s a nice touch that adds to the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, as on arrival we requested a couple of things we would have liked within the room, which were immediately attended to by the most helpful staff. The location proved to be excellent, really close to Pisa’s main attractions, restaurants and also with a very handy local supermarket nearby. The buffet breakfast was most acceptable without being excessive and staff were on hand to assist when required. Our room was comfortable, if a little compact, but this had to be expected given the style of the building itself. If you were travelling with a fair amount, or with large, luggage, it could prove a bit difficult for the room to accommodate it, although this has to be a minor inconvenience given the overall factors of location, convenience, cleanliness, value and service. The suggestions of additional places to visit provided by the reception were also extremely helpful. We really enjoyed our stay very much.

A couple of minor things - when we arrived, there was no tea and coffee making facility provided nor unfortunately any clothes hangers, but as stated above this was immediately resolved by the most helpful staff. The shower cubicle also didn’t have a rack to hold toiletries during use, which would have been a distinct advantage. Other than these minor inconveniences, nothing else to add.

Quiet, spacious room, with good bathroom, good lighting, excellent air conditioning and excellent refrigerator and television. Very comfortable bed. The location is ideal with a view of the leaning tower from the terrace. Plenty of excellent restaurants just a few feet away. No traffic noise. All the staff were excellent and extremely helpful.

The room safe was old and did not work. Could do with a shelf in the bathroom and coat hangers.

The staff were all excellent, and always happy to help if we needed any extra things (like an extra pillow). Special mention goes to Ersa who looked after us at breakfast each morning and was always lovely and welcoming. The location is fantastic - very central, a few mins walk from the tower, and shops around for anything you might need. And it has a lift!

Room was a little basic, but that was OK. We initially only had a pillow each provided so had to ask for extra, and also had to ask for more toilet roll during our stay - however, the staff were always accommodating and happy to help.
