The breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. The location is very good, with easy access to all of the interesting places to see and visit.

I'm an older American citizen and I don't speak Italian very well. I found it difficult to communicate with the property owner to get access to the accommodations. I don't recall any information/directions that was available on the B&B website as to what I needed to do when I arrived. I didn't like not having someone available at the apartment to greet me. A nice woman who lives in the building happened to be there when I arrived, and she assisted me in contacting the apartment manager. I had no idea what I was supposed to do when I arrived.

Great Communication from the host - first message received very quickly with instructions... They also responded quickly to another question, which was appreciated, as we were already staying elsewhere and traveling. The room itself was superb - very clean, lots of space and nicely prepared and a great en-suite. The location was absolutely spot-on! Couldn't get better really, if you wanted to be in the heart of Lucca's old city walls.

Nothing to not like about the room to be honest - as mentioned in my previous comment, everything was great - facilities, location, presentation, preparation, price.... All Good! If there was one negative it would only be the amount of stairs you have to climb to get to the apartment but that's not the fault of the host and no reflection on anything else - just the way it is if you want to stay somewhere historic!

Excellent apartment right in the heart of Lucca! Piazza dell' Anfiteatro. Very helpful owner. Finding a parking in Piazza S. Maria may be a bit of a challenge but we managed well for 4 nights. Cinque Terre, Pisa, Livorno so close. Fully recommend! And Attenzione all fishers! Great grayling and trout rivers nearby! Moreno Borriero, a guide and bamboo rod maker gives great service! Amazing location. Lucca is a wonderful city, and my room faced probably the most interesting square of the city. (But it needed a bit od negotiation, because not all the rooms face this square, so make sure that you check that before booking). The room was comfortable and clean, and the hosts really kind. I was allowed to leave my luggage at another od thier properties until my train departure later in the day. Great value for money.

Great location. Lovely, clean and spacious room. Host was easy going and friendly and had great communication with us. Check in insturctions were very clear and easy to follow.

We had a big suitcase, which wasn't easy to carry up the several flights of stairs. It is common of these types of old italian buildings, but was the ONLY negative thing about the apartment.

This is a great location and a cozy comfortable room. The bathroom is small but very well appointed and everything works well. The bed was a bit soft for my taste, but I slept well after 26 days and 400 miles on the VF pilgrimage route. Top floor room reduced street noise to a non-factor and my room, while a part of the ancient ring around the Anfiteatro Roman (Roman amphitheater) had no windows facing that arena, so no noise, but very ready access to abundant food and shops and nightlife.

Bathroom shower had hair in the bottom from last tenant, which I cleaned up before showering. A bit of housekeeping oversight that happens from time to time. Also, the light in the bedroom/sitting room kept going out. I finally texted to rental company and they sent a fellow over to fix the problem (but he took about two hours to arrive, so the problem got solved, but it took a while.). Check-in is electronic/no contact and translation to English was a bit confusing. Not sure if this is Google Translate or rental agent problem... it worked in the end with the help of another tourist staying at this same place.

This place has a truly excellent location, right next to the main square, though not overlooking it as its pictures suggest. (Perhaps other rooms have that room, but ours definitely did not, so it should not have been advertised with such a misleading picture.)

We were fine with what we got, though a kettle or coffee machine would have been a welcome addition.

Wi-Fi was very sporadic. Host came over to check it out and said it was working fine. Later I had to stop two different calls and move to cellular because WiFi cuts in and out. This makes productive work impossible so maybe a mesh network would help. There were also a few hairs in the shower floor when I used the shower. Otherwise a very clean apartment and nice space.

The location was fabulous, right in the heart of Lucca, a wonderful city with so much to see, great restaurants and a lovely atmosphere. Communication with the accomodation in advance of arrival was easy and they facilitated an early check-in.

The person who seemed to be staff totally ignored us. The toilet seat wobbled and the shower could do with an upgrade.

Our room was very clean and cozy. The location was perfect: right in the center of Lucca old town and 15-20 min from the train station. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

The b&b is on the 3rd floor and the stair were steep which might be challenging for some people, but it didn't bother us :) Breakfast didn't seem to be available.
