The location is super - literally just around the corner from the main shopping street, but not on the main street, which means it is quiet at night. This is important because the main streets are very noisy late at night. The B&B is in a lovely old building and the room I had is beautiful, with a modern and spacious bathroom. The breakfast was served on a lovely terrace out in the sunshine.

I had no problems because I travel with a backpack, but the stairs are step and carrying large suitcases up the stairs would be heavy. This is not a complaint, just something that is good to know.

The property is perfectly positioned inside the walls so close to everything. You need to prebook parking which is very close. There is only one person working so if no answer from the bell use the contact number on your booking. Also when you leave you need to have paid for the parking otherwise you will not get the exemption from the ZTL. If not at the till then check in the breakfast room upstairs. Loved the place and would definitely stay there again.

Had to wait a while to get in but should have just rung.

we arrived in rain and later than expected, good communication where key would be left for us to get in, we were only here for the night, but good base for what we wanted we were not having breakfast, but looked lovely as we were checking out.

We had the room was next to stairs so potentially could get unlucky with guest who come and go a lot as was very noticeable hearing people come and go. Lucky while we was there we only had twice. Knowing this though may mean you ask for a different room.

We were able to walk to the property from the train station. The directions were very clear & the key was in a lock box because we arrived early. The room and bathroom were spacious. The breakfast was delicious. There is a beautiful outdoor terrace, with comfortable furniture. The apartment is in an excellent location for wandering the streets of the old town with plenty of choices of cafes. The BnB is on street level but there are a few stairs to the first level. This wasn’t a problem for us. The staff were very friendly.

Very nice and clean room and perfect location. Very nice with the selfservice opportunity in the common aera with a nice terrace. 😍🤗 Nice to meet and talk to the other guest in this smal and cozy hotel....😘 The aircondition was perfect, and we needed it in 34 °C 😅 Close to everything, even the the 30 minutes drive to the beautiful beach Viareggio . 2 beautiful nights in Lucca with fantastic restaurants. We will definateley come back to L'Iris B/B .

We struggeled a bit to find the parkingplace, but that was only because of work in some part of the streets.

The location was perfect for discovering this beautiful city. It was within the city walls, so right in the middle of the old center and even so, from the Lucca train station (direct from Pisa), one can take a bus right to the B&B. Location is 5 minutes walk to the shopping street and everything in Lucca is close. Also 5 minutes walk to the path up to the city wall. Bicycles for riding through the town and the beautiful broad path on the city wall are also right there. Perfectly clean, very large comfortable room and lovely rooftop breakfast, helpful host and hostess. I will definitely stay there on my next visit!

Very helpful, allowed early entry. Carried my case up the stairs. Gave me a map of Lucca on my phone. Offered breakfast which was lovely. I enjoyed sitting in the sun on the terrace in the afternoon. Shops and restaurants in the vicinity but apartment no affected by any street noise. Spacious room and bathroom. One of the best places I have stayed on my travels.

Very clean and comfortable. The terrace was a welcome spot for relaxing. The location was perfect for sightseeing and getting to the railway station. The room was big and the bathroom lovely. It was generally very quiet. There was a good selection for breakfast.

The americano coffee was awful. The climb up the stairs with heavy luggage was tricky.

This is a sweet little B&B, which is clean, well presented and good value for money. It was lovely being able to eat breakfast on the terrace area. The B&B is located fairly centrally and is a short walk away from a big choice of restaurants. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting Lucca.

Breakfast , A selection of yogurts, cold meat, cheese and there was plenty of bread and pastries. The location was excellent. Near the main thoroughfare and not far from the wall or train station. .

There could have been a bit more fresh fruit. The kiwis were not usually ripe. Also the meat/ cheese plate didn’t seem to be replenished and if you were last for breakfast, there often wasn’t much left. Although, plenty of pastries and cakes.
