We had a truly wonderful stay at Villa La Preziosa. The property is absolutely charming – peaceful gardens, elegant historic interiors, and an atmosphere that made us feel like we were in another world. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished. One of the highlights was breakfast in the garden – fresh, delicious, and served with great care. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. We truly appreciated the warm and personal approach. I’m especially grateful for the lovely birthday surprise – a beautiful cake and heartfelt wishes from the staff. It was such a kind gesture and made my day even more special. The location is perfect – just a short drive from the historic center of Lucca, yet calm and surrounded by nature. We highly recommend Villa La Preziosa to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable experience in Tuscany. We’d love to come back one day!

Our host Barbara made our stay very enjoyable. Amazing lady, Kind and helpful as were Gunter and Julian. A Beautiful building and outdoor seating area very relaxing and well presented. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the only hotel we stayed in with Netflix as an option. Breakfast excellent both presentation and quality. Great location for Lucca.

We were disappointed the pool and loungers weren’t available as the weather was superb for afternoon outdoor relaxing however we understand the owners situation with time required to refurbish the pool being very necessary.

Gunther and Barbara were very accommodating hosts, welcoming us on check-in with a glass of sparkling and then showing us to our room. Then also very willing to talk about the villa and Lucca town. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was a very nice touch, with fresh coffee and egg orders taken daily.

Due to our own fault, accessing the villa without a car is difficult and having to rely on local taxis or the bus. Can be quite costly and unreliable with timing, so please ensure you have a car for accessibility to Lucca town and nearby towns. Not being able to have a takeaway breakfast due to an earlier check-out as there is no one in the villa until 7am to assist for dining.

Very friendly family-owned business, very well renovated villa, beautiful garden, very clean, good location to make day trips to Lucca and Pisa (if you have a car).

For the high price, I expected a bit more attention to detail (e.g., the fridge for the mini bar was just standing in the room and not hidden/integrated, plastic flowers, not the highest quality of furniture etc.). Breakfast was good, but not great. Overall, my perception is that the stay was nice, but based on value for money, I would not go again. However, this does not mean that this is not the right place for you. It is special for sure, and it can be easily enjoyed.

This beautiful villa is situated just outside the main city of Lucca. If you don't have a car, you can easily take a taxi from the train station, which is what we did. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a smile and some delicious wine. We spent three relaxing days by the pool, enjoying spritz made with their homemade limoncello from their own lemons—the best we've had on our trip! Without a car, we chose to rent bikes from the villa and cycled into the main town, which was a delightful way to explore Lucca. We also walked to and from the main town one day, as we love walking. Since the villa operates as a B&B, there’s a great selection of breakfast options available. Before your stay, they will send you dinner recommendations. For those without a car, the villa offers light lunch options and pizza for dinner. On two evenings, we took a pleasant stroll and discovered Regine Pizzeria with amazing pasta, Kelpero Pizza, and Gelateria Angiolino for dessert—all about a 15-20 minute walk from the villa, depending on your pace. The hosts are incredibly friendly and enjoy getting to know their guests. We can’t wait to come back to this place. Thank you for hosting us.

Everything about Villa La Preziosa was greater than our expectations. Barbara was so hospitable and gave us some good recommendations for places to visit. It was a short drive to Lucca (very limited taxis) with some lovely restaurants, many of which were recommended. We had a few hours around the pool on a couple of days and it was lovely and quiet. The rooms are beautiful and the house has been renovated very sympathetically. We would love to stay there again if we visit Tuscany.

On arrival we were greeted with a glass of champagne and we were offered an upgrade on our already beautiful room to a more beautiful and spacious room. Villa La Preziosa is a gorgeous Villa with a big pretty garden. The attention to detail through out the Villa will always be remembered. I would recommend Villa La Preziosa for a stay in Lucca. Barbara and Gunther are exceptional hosts. The room was beautifully decorated and looked out at the large garden and pool. The breakfast was delicious and my husband loved the omelets! Best of all was all the help both Barbara and Gunther provided about sites to see, restaurants, trips, and where to buy the best cake for my friend's birthday. If I return to Lucca I will stay at Villa La Preziosa again for sure!

Villa La Preziosa was our favorite place to stay during our Italy trip. From the beautiful landscaping to the charming Villa and rooms. Barbara and Julian made us feel so welcome and took care of any of our needs. The rest of the staff were also very helpful and always smiling and cheerful. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of food and drinks! Spotless rooms with comfortable beds. We can’t wait to be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The owners went out of their way to make our stay special. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and beautifully decorated. The gardens are so pretty and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool under the umbrellas or in a shaded spot. We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden every morning under the arbor which included a wide selection of foods from their buffet as well as a cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay again if we returned to this area.

Since it is located outside Lucca we needed a taxi to get into town and to the wedding we were attending. Taxi’s are quite difficult to find in this area.
