Contact with the owners was very good; my queries were settled very promptly. I stayed in a twin room which was very comfortable. Although air-conditioning was not available in the room, I was given a fan which was adequate to get a good night's sleep. The weather was very hot during my week's stay but I found that by closing the window and drawing the curtain during the day, the room kept reasonably cool. The window could then be opened at night when the temperature went down. The accommodation also included a very good breakfast. There was a cold selection of meats/cheeses and also an offer of eggs and Kamnik sausage made to order. Along with a choice of 4 cereals, teas, coffee and juices to cater for everyone. I particularly liked the locally sourced yogurts. All in all it was good value for money.

The only thing that I found a little annoying was the lack of electrical sockets in the room. But this seems to be a common occurrence in hotel rooms. There were just 2 sockets between the beds that were accessible. I would suggest that a wall fan be fitted to save on floor space.

Very welcoming staff. The B&B Pod Skalo has very good location, 5 min from main bus station and about 7 min from the city center of Kamnik. The small room that I rented was very clean and cosy, it even had a view on the Alps.There is a dining room and a kitchen downstairs available for guests, including possibility of cooking and storing food in a fridge. The staff walked an extra mile for me and prepared breakfast 30 min earlier than their usuall schedule, so that I could eat something before catching a first buss to Velka Planina. The breakfast was very diverse and also included customized option of warm dish to order. I wholeheartedly recommend B&B Pod Skalo, as it exceeded my expectations.

Close to the old town in Kamnik, it is very quaint. I feel like Kamnik is very underrated, it is such a beautiful town with so much to see. We chose to stay here instead of Ljubljana and we are so glad we did this. Short drive to thermal pools- kids loved this. Lots of beds for a family of four, very large room/open space, breakfast included was fantastic, pub attached was also great- cheap cocktails and we enjoyed watching a soccer match with the locals! The pub has things to keep pre teens occupied. Can recommend the local Arabic restaurant, it's fantastic. Local pool is across the road. Ample parking. Private little area for guests out the door next to the laundy, this had stunning views of the snow on the mountains. We did have to fend off several spiders on the first night, but none after that- didn't bother us as we live in Australia 😁 Owners are lovely. All in all, a great stay. We would stay again.

Late check-in after a few hours driving, it does advertise this on booking.com, but we missed this, had to wait around for a while.

Our stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. The room was spotless and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and varied, and the location is perfect. What made the experience exceptional was the incredibly kind and helpful staff. They graciously accepted our request to shorten our stay by one night due to work obligations—without any extra charge. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, quality, and outstanding hospitality.

They say that the people bless the place. If the people are friendly and welcoming, there is not much more one needs. We had a lovely time here and enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning. Our rooms were spacious, rustic style, with comfortable beds. There is a kitchen downstairs that all guests can use, a big fridge, a microwave, and a kettle. The staff is doing a great job and made us feel at home.

Great location with roomy parking lot, just outside Kamnik. Near Ljubljana and near main roads, so it serves as a great base. Great value for money and the breakfast was amazing! Honestly one of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel. Many choices and they have a few hot options they will make for you on the spot (such as eggs and sausage).

There is no airconditioning, but the windows can be fully opened, which helps cool down at night.

I really enjoyed my stay here; the staff was beyond friendly, the breakfast was (as many other people before me have commented) fantastic and included freshly made eggs, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. As a low-lander, I also particularly loved the view onto the mountains both from the room and the terrace of the pub (which was also very cozy on the inside and great for sitting and reading a book, sometimes even by the fireplace). Overall really relaxing!

The property is located just outside Kamnik, and the city center is reachable via a short (less than 10 minutes) walk. There's ample parking space beside the structure, and a pub which is open until late - however we didn't hear noise during our stay. The room was small but fully equipped, Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast in the morning was very good, lots of local produce like jams and yogurt; they even asked us what kind of eggs we wanted and freshly prepared them for us.

Beautifully located and charming place to stay. Very clean, with helpful staff and great pub next to the B&B. Lots of bike routes around, also there was no problem with storing our bikes - thank you for being so available ☺️ Also Kamnik itself worth visiting! Moreover, great breakfast with hot dishes you can order and local products you can taste. The only thing to consider is that a double room may be quite small (however it was also an economic option :)), yet it has all the comforts needed and with all the attractions around probably you will just stay there for a quick shower and sleep 😊 Highly recommended, we hope to be back! The hotel is very well situated, well within walking distance of the picturesque centre of Kamnik. There are a large number of parking spaces available for guests. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were amazed at the quality of the breakfast - a wide variety of local produce and a great many options. A definite highlight! We highly recommend this hotel.
