Quiet. The bed & pillows were comfortable. There is armoire with some hangers; always a plus. There is hot water, soap & towels. It's a 20-minute walk to the bus station. There is a TV & air-conditioner but I didn't use either. One can catch the bus to the train station at the Cervantes bus stop; about 15 minutes from the hostel. Plaza Mayor and Cuenca Cathedral is a good 35-minute walk, mostly up the side of a mountain.

Door cards too worn out which made entering the room tough. Staff didn't really speak English.

The location, far from the center

It’s nothing flash and a little dated but the beds are fine, it’s clean and pretty much standard (but don’t expect new and modern). Reception girl was friendly and helpful for any questions.

Laundry was being dried out front of hotel which is a little unusual (but hey at least sheets are being washed!) location was a touch far until I figured it out. It’s a 10 minute walk to Calle Cervantes bus stop from which you can easily catch line 1 or line 2 bus (1.40 euro) to old town or plaza mayor or the top for the castle and mirador.. It’s about 15 mins to the bus station from where you can take line 1 the other way to the new train station (Fernando zobel which is 2.15 euro) 20 mins out of town. Cafes are on Calle Colon which is again, a 10 minute walk through the park direct. So at first it seems like it’s far but it’s really not.
