The location is unbeatable. Right on the lake (the Charco de la Boca), with full access to all of the hiking trails and organized visits to Doñana.

The restaurant seems understaffed. The food is great, and the staff is lovely, but the service is very slow. It seems to me that this is not the fault of the staff, but rather the lack of personnel. I recommend that the hotel rethink the breakfast. It is not self-service, so the one server takes and inordinate amount of time to serve up the food. And with us, she even forgot to serve us our pastries. Breakfast, for travelers, is a key moment. We need to eat and get off to our day. The La Boca restaurant does not facilitate that. And getting a table in the evening is challenging.

Loved our stay at La Malvasia. We booked a junior suite, the added touches of robes, slippers, wine and snacks were well received. The town is great for exploring. The location was perfect and very peaceful. Sitting on the veranda in the evening and listening to the wildlife was heaven. Unfortunately we had to amend our booking to one night due to unforeseen circumstances, the staff were exceptional and sorted everything out so there was zero stress. I can highly recommend this hotel and we will be visiting again. One thing to note if you are taking your dog maybe request a room in the extension building as it will be quieter for them.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Only thing is a suggestion, the crispy spinach and prawn salad was a huge bowl of crispy spinach and not many prawns, you couldn’t really see the prawns. I would suggest massively reducing the amount of spinach and add 4 large prawns instead.

The location was exceptional. We paid extra for the biggest room in the hotel (12) which was superb. It was huge with a large sitting area and 5 double sizzle windows. An excellent telescope was provided so you could look across the lagoon which was part of the Donana national park. We could see flamingoes, storks, ibis and deer. There was no need to book trips in the park (although we did walk) as we could see everything so well from the room.

The breakfast (17 euros) charged extra for eggs. The hotel had no information for English travellers and it was not easy to find things out eg where best to wain the National park.

I booked with my dog. Non refundable. Then to be told dogs over 7kg not allowed. Dogs cost 35 euros normally but I was then told my dog would cost 60 euros. I told them I would not pay that and then they agreed to accept the lesser amount due to my non refundable status 😳 My visit was great until check out time and a lot of confusion about paying for my pet. That not a problem in itself. The abruptness and accusing tone of the lady was horrible. All the other staff were wonderful.

The breakfast was a let down. We were told breakfast was served from 7.30 a.m.. When we arrived at 7.30 a.m. nothing was ready and the member of staff who carried out the service walked in with her coat on having just arrived. She was hassled. Tea bags had run out. We requested an omelette which was on the menu. She made scrambled eggs with chunks of hard cheese which did mot melt. Yuck! Having complained, tea was available the following day. The next few days we had a guy serving. He made a basic oily omelette but we had to ask him daily for salt, pepper etc. One day the toast was part burnt. He got tea for me and didn't even ask my sister so we had to ask him again. Very poor service for breakfast. These people are not chefs hence why they offer continental breakfast. The boiled eggs were cold as they were from the fridge, so pre boiled not on the day of serving.

Breakfast needs to be much better. The quality of the breakfast and customer service needs improvement

Lovely room, good lighting, everything worked, excellent bed, quiet, big enough with good storage. Good to have fridge and safe. Very pleasant staff. Has atmosphere and indviduality. Enjoyed photos in corridors and sparrows on stairs!

Aircon good but when got wet outdoors would have liked a heated towel rail as well. Not many coathangers. Breakfast was good but took long time and didn't always get offered the full menu even when others did, when busy.Having it partly buffet might help?

The service at the restaurant during breakfast. There wasn't any water on the tables and the entire room couldn't get the attention of the waiter. The breakfast itself was very poor. Despite being menu based and not buffet the waiter only brought us some things included in the menu and didn't ask if we wanted/didn't want something else. Additionally it's a bit cheap and rude to charge extra for an egg dish. Having been in similar hotels that make available a menu usually there is the option to choose an egg dish, milk, yoghurt or fruit, and something sweet in addition to the beverages. Lastly, there was no complimentary water (or at least not visible one) anywhere in the room.

Our suite was delightful and extremely well furnished with high quality bed linen. Excellent decor throughout and staff were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable

The room was really lovely but silly flimsy 4 poster effect spoilt the overall high finish . Also a little more attention to detail of complimentary toiletries 3 conditioners and no bath gel with superb bath ! . Although service was excellent one of the poorest breakfasts we have encountered travelling throughout Spain very mediocre fruit salad , have never seen a charge of extra €4.50 for eggs at any level

Stunning hotel in an amazing location on the side of the lagoon. Lovely roof top pool. We had a suite which was beautiful and well designed. We had seafood paella for lunch in the restaurant and it was delicious.

Room 30 - One of our windows was permanently shut due to it being fixed, made the lounge dark. There was no telescope that we were expecting. The view was the lagoon in the distance but was over the car park. No iron. No kettle.

This is easily the best hotel in El Rocio situated by the lagoon with fantastic views especially from the pool area which is in the annex on the roof. I was travelling on my own to meet up with a friend who was staying in the area. Although I booked a single room I had a very comfortable king size bed, large bathroom with a powerful walk in shower. All very modern but in the traditional style. A special thank you to Francisco the receptionist who was so friendly and helpful. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment.
