This hotel offers great value for money if you're looking to stay outside the official Lego Hotel. The rooms are comfortable, and cleaning is available upon request if you stay for more than one night. There's no phone in the room, but they have smart TV. You can watch YouTube on the TV. Hairdryer is available. You got a free drink voucher (but for 3-5 PM only), which is useless for me since I am out of the hotel that time. breakfast was pretty good. The nearest bus stop is about a 5–10 minute walk, located near Legoland. If you're driving, that's even more convenient, as getting around by car is easier. The Lego House is a bit far to walk directly, but following the Play Line route through the nearby Sculpture Park makes for a pleasant and enjoyable walk. For groceries or snacks, the closest store is in Lalandia, just a short trip away. Billund is a small but charming city—ideal for families and Lego fans. It’s peaceful, fun, and full of character, and you get to walk a lot.

The room could use better lighting, as it felt a bit dated—especially because of the curtains, which added to the overall old-fashioned look. One of the standing lamps in the corner wasn’t working, which may have contributed to the dim atmosphere. I didn’t check it thoroughly since I would have needed to move the extra bed to reach it, and I ended up forgetting to report it to the receptionist. Other than that, it was pretty much a good choice to stay.

Breakfast was rather good (we only missed porridge, but didn't check with the staff), the big plus that breakfast starts very early (5 am).

No air conditioner, it was too hot to sleep, even with open window. As town is very small, location was ok for us. Room was too small for 4 people family, in the pictures it looked larger. In our opinion hotels in Billund are strongly overpriced, especially you do not even expect that there is no air conditioner!

Very nice hotel, we were provided a ground room with terrace outside. The room was near the play area which was also appreciated. Room cleaning is provided on demand. Absolutely excellent breakfast with waffle maker availability daily. Location is maybe a max of 10 min from Legoland and Lalandia, easily reached with young children through a walk/cycle path. Also walkable distance to Billund Centre through the Skulptur Park. A free shuttle bus is available at a nearby bus stop in front of the hotel. Free shuttle is a circular service from the Airport to the main Billund attractions, incl. Lego House and Wow Park. Overall a central, discreet, quiet, efficient and clean hotel with a great breakfast and outdoor availability.

Restaurant menu was very pricey, as is all of Billund's eatery facilities. The room gets very hot in warm weather, available fan was appreciated.

During our recent stay, we found the hotel staff to be welcoming, helpful, and well-presented. Breakfast was available until 11 AM, allowing us to take our time without any rush. The scrambled eggs were delicious, and there was a good selection of baked goods. However, it would have been nice to have fried eggs, potatoes, potato salad, and especially hard-boiled eggs instead of soft-boiled ones, which can be a bit messy for children. The chairs in the restaurant were stylish but due for replacement and not particularly comfortable, at least for me. On the plus side, the restaurant had a playroom for children, drawing supplies, and an outdoor play area with a trampoline and a large sandbox. Additionally, the reception area featured board games and a large TV. We stayed in one of the superior rooms, and the main downside was the glass door between the room and the bathroom. It offered little privacy as all sounds could be heard, and there were gaps along the edges through which one could see into the bathroom (for instance, if someone is sitting in bed across from it). Fortunately, there were decent toilet facilities in the reception area that one could use instead. The mattress were a bit firm for my liking, but otherwise, the room and bathroom were nice. There were also a few minor issues that I reported, which should be easy to fix. However, there were plenty of parking spaces near the rooms and good drinks at the bar. The steak dinner could have had better garnish and sauce. Even though the hotel, in my opinion, is closer to a 3-star rating, I would consider staying here again, but not without first exploring other options.

Breakfast is a huge advantage of staying at the Svanen Hotel - fantastic, with a wide variety of options that provided energy for the entire day, making it easy to skip lunch if necessary. The staff was very friendly, always ready to assist. Additionally, the restaurant served very good meals that exceeded expectations in quality, though they were on the pricier side.

However, a few aspects of the stay could have been better. The room and bathroom furnishings felt a bit outdated, which didn’t quite align with the overall cost of the accommodation. Furthermore, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the toilet, which detracted from the overall comfort of the room.

Comfortable beds, the room was apartment-like, spacious, big sleeping couch for our kid, room for more than one charger. Complimentary tea in room. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. Very nice breakfast buffet. Super fluffy pancakes, and not only coffee available, also hoy cocoa, tea, etc.

I did miss more cut fruits for breakfast. While it's winter, and I appreciate eating seasonably, it's a good time for winter fruits. The light in the bathroom is very noisy. But it does quiet down some time after switching off, so it's not really an actual issue.

The room was small but clean & more than sufficient for 2 people staying the 1 night. The breakfast that's included was fresh & a generous range of offerings for a buffet.

Nothing in particular. Small town. Everything is within walking distance - including the airport, which we ended up walking to due to it being a public holiday with limited options for public transport. Taxi fares for a 3km ride were exorbitant- like, outrageously so, therefore, a morning stroll was the final choice. Had to leave a little earlier, but it was comfortable just with a carry-on sized luggage being carried along the mostly flat paths/road. The receptionist at the hotel kindly offered to call us a taxi, which we declined.

The rooms are very small and if you are using the sofa bed like we were there is not going to be a lot of space in the room to hang out after a long day, but the facilities in the lobby/main house were great for kids so we used that when we were not in the parks. The breakfast was fantastic and the location is very central to both downtown Billund as well as all the parks- we could walk everywhere.

The staff were friendly and helpful, when we complained about the noisy neighbours they moved us to a much quieter and better room for the rest of our holiday, we appreciate that.

There were not a lot going on in the surrounding area, it's more like a hotel for business rather than tourists, apart from Legoland, Legohouse some distance away and a holiday village. Overall the hotel itself is good compared with the price.

Fantastic hotel situated a short taxi ride from Billund airport. I stayed here with a friend during a long weekend, and we were impressed with the property as soon as we entered. The reception staff were kind and attentive, helping us to resolve a minor issue with our booking, and our twin room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast options were the best I have had anywhere, with a variety of English and Continental choices (we especially enjoyed the waffles!). There are also excellent bus links to other towns in the area, which allowed us to easily take day trips to Vejle and Kolding.

The temperature in the room was quite hot, which made it somewhat uncomfortable to be in for long periods.
