The location was good. The size of our room was great. It was very well catered. The yoghurt was exceptional.

We didn't like the hosts walking through the property after we had already checked in and started unpacking....could have been embarrassing. Also we had to clean the table, glasses, crockery and cutlery before using it was all dirty and the table was covered in sugar breadcrumbs and food from previous guests. The teapot still had tea and teabags in it and was growing mold. The bar of soap that was left in the bathroom had been used by many people before.

Ivy on Glenelg is an historic property, which we loved. The proprietor David could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The room was huge and generously stocked with all necessary supplies for breakfast (and more). The supplied eggs are from Ivy's chooks and there are Alpacas in the paddock just behind the house. And yet Ivy is just a short walk from the town centre and a hst of historic attractions. We loved it. Highly recommended.

The driveway was extremely narrow. I recommend parking out the front (which is very easy).

Ivy on Gleneg was a wonderful surprise. The charming friendly welcome of David, and Ollie, to the outstanding rooms that catered for everything you can imagine (which must be Irene’s fine eye). The hosts know how to spoil you. Campbell Town is wonderful to explore with so much history just like this charming cozy BnB. You must make this one of your places to visit when discovering Tasmania. So close to the beautiful Freycinet and wine glass bay.

We stayed 3 nights in this gorgeous 1838 historic house. We stayed in the Doctors Wing, which was a spacious self-contained cottage that had absolutely everything that we could have possibly wanted and more. David and Irene, our hosts, were so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was a problem. We recommend this gorgeous cottage to anyone looking to stay in the Midlands, Campbell Town is a friendly and charming historic place.

Everything was fantastic.

Good, old school, Bed and Breakfast hospitality. The hosts were great. They explained everything when I arrived and were really helpful. The food provided for both the breakfast and to help if you wanted to cook dinner was amazing. I had booked the Dry Cottage but was upgraded to the Doctors Wing! I went exploring the town and found a convict brick trail. I looked up my family name and found a brick for my GGGGrandfather!!

The hosts at the this B&B were lovely. They recommended a great dinner in the area and also had plenty of welcome treats on-hand to make our stay self-contained. We wish we could have stayed in the area longer and would recommend for those traveling north-south through Tasmania.

The approach to the parking was a bit tight for our rental vehicle (a Subaru Outback). It was much appreciated to have parking, but the tight squeeze meant we tried NOT to go in/out of parking if necessary.

I loved everything about Ivy on Glenelg! Firstly, the hosts are very welcoming and helpful, which is always an excellent start. Secondly, the rooms are beautifully appointed - restored 1830s buildings updated to be warm and comfortable with all the modern conveniences. We had two rooms, each with its own kitchen, living room, and bathroom, and each filled with thoughtful, homely touches. The provided breakfast was delicious and plentiful - what a wonderful bonus! The property is expansive and includes alpacas and sheep, which the kids loved. I highly recommend Ivy on Glenelg!

We were greeted by David our friendly host. We loved that the property had been so beautifully restored (by him & his wife Irene) to its former glory whilst incorporating modern day conveniences such as electric heating, dishwasher etc To our surprise we’d been upgraded from a suite to a stunning spacious apartment. The bed was very comfortable, firm mattress which suited us nicely … and extremely generous breakfast provisions provided. We enjoyed a delightful & relaxing breakfast before continuing our road trip. We wished we could stay more than one night!

Nothing! It’s a beautiful place to stay.

This is an excellent B & B & would recommend highly. Very generous breakfast provisions. Plenty of heating in rooms including bathroom. Being a heritage building it feels like stepping back in time but with home comforts. Beautiful setting & can sit outside in courtyard weather permitting. Lots of great reading material if that’s your thing, wish we could have stayed longer.

The thing we didn’t like was that we were only there for 1 night. I can’t think of any improvement’s that need to be made. It’s quite delightful. Peaceful & comfortable.

Fantastic host (David & Irene) prepared kids cutlery in advance when we indicate a child in the booking. Beautiful and Huge apartment (1 suite bedroom with toilet, 1 bedroom, 1 common toilet, 1 living room with open kitchen next to it). Provided us with muffins for tea break, bread, cornflakes etc for breakfast, eggs, noodles and pasta to cook. Provided some bottle water, milk and orange juice. We don't need to worry about going hungry at night. Located around the mid point of Launceston and Hobart. Good rest point for a night.

Weak wifi.
