The views are amazing and the location is very quiet. A great breakfast with a whole variety of things buffet style and various coffees and teas available. They also offer a complimentary shuttle which is very useful. The villa itself is beautiful and the terraces all have wonderful views. The owners were extremely nice and helpful.

The bedrooms are a bit dated but the bed and bathroom very comfortable. Additional pillows would be a bonus in the wardrobe as the one pillow per person was very flat. There are a lot of steps, which gives a lot of character to the place, but if you have a problem with stairs it could be a problem. This is just some constructive criticism because we were very happy staying there.

The Villa Diana is a quaint, quirky property overlooking the town of Lipari. The rooms are large and individually decorated including with art by the artist, Edwin Hunziker, whose villa it was. The terraces are lovely with great views. The breakfasts were very good. The staff were helpful and attentive. The Villa Diana was everything I hoped for and more.

Absolutely nothing. As a warning, however, the Villa Diana is uphill out of town and the property itself is on a steep slope - this may make it unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

Fantastic villa up in the mountains of Lipari. Very helpful and service minded staff. You can book the room with or with out breakfast. I booked with out breakfast. The room had the traditional Italian beddings (which is a little hard). The room had a fridge and very well working internet, no problem to see Youtube. Attached to the room was an amazing terrace with a great view over Lepari. The garden has nice flowers. Transport down to the harbour at departure free of charge.

Absolut nothing to complain about. The location is amazing but it also demands some walking up hills to reach this villa. Particularly heavy luggage can be a problem, if you use google map and misses the convenient short cuts (google map shows the map for cars). If luggage is a problem call Villa Diana they will most certainly pick you up at the harbour.

The location is amazing and the view from the terrace is one to remember! We had a pleasant surprise to find out how nice the villa is all together, surrounded by nature and with a classic Italian country style. Rooms are with classic furniture, old style but clean. Bathrooms well equipped and clean. Breakfast on the terrace is amazing! Good fresh sweet pastry and salty choices as well! The staff was really great, welcomed us and helped us with any inquiry!

Some rooms are better than others, depending on what's available you can get a nice, big, luminous one or a small, closed and dark one. We had to move from one to another, and for the same price I perceived the second as a downgrade... Doors and windows would not close properly, hot water would come after running it for a while, found some bugs(on the bed and one in the bathroom).

Our stay at villa Diana was lovely, thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome and looked after. Breakfast is outstanding, as are the views from the terrace, which is a fantastic spot for a morning coffee or a glass of white wine in the evening.

Nothing in the villa itself, but one of the crossings to get there is quite dangerous, with no zebra crossing and a hidden bend where many cars don't slow down.

Very beautiful Eolian house and amazing view on all city center, directly facing Lipari's castle, the hotel is a bit uphill yet the view makes the walk to reach it definitely worth it. Breakfast is perfect in Italian standards, everything you need is there and good and fresh. The whole staff is highly helpful and welcoming, the real Italian courtesy.

Hotel Villa Diana was a wonderful place to stay. The villa is beautiful- surrounded by garden and citrus trees with a beautiful terrace overlooking the city and with a view of the sea. Each room has its own private exterior entrance and mini terrace. Our guest room itself was spacious, clean and functional. However the bed was not very comfortable. The villa has a beautiful breakfast room filled with paintings by Edwin Hunziker, which were a delight to look at each morning. On nice days the breakfast is served outside on the terrace. Breakfast is continental-style and the spread is very good. There were lots of options of pastries, cookies, and savoury foods along with homemade jams and marmalades. It was the best breakfast of all the places we stayed in Sicily. Hotel Villa Diana is about a 10 min walk to one of the main shopping and dining streets in Lipari and a 15-20 min walk to the port, so the location is convenient but also private and quiet.

The beds were not very comfortable and there were not many exterior lights so we had to be careful getting to our room after dark.

Very nice villa converted to hotel. Full of art work painted by the owner's ancestor. Out room had a semi private terrace as do most of the rooms. High above the town with a view of the city and sea. Nice dining room and terrace and good food. Easy walk to town and harbor.
