A beautiful and charming inn with 6 rooms out to the rear. Great they were separated from the main building and each had their own access. The pub served amazing food and the staff could not have been more helpful.
Our family room had a single bed which I used but it was very uncomfortable sadly. The mattress could do with replacing. Towels and sheets were very clean but the room felt like it could have done with a deeper clean. Maybe not been used in a while. The kettle needed the filter cleaning. Bathroom small, (good shower) but useable although no fan or window so got quite damp very quickly. I guess it’s just part of the older property charm. Didn’t affect our stay really.

We had a very comfortable room complete with fridge and a heater which we could control, which was very helpful for my elderly mother. The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn't have done more to take care of us and give us a great stay. We stayed for a week and our rooms were still cleaned and changed regularly. The food was exceptional, a vast selection of dishes - large portions, we managed on meals for smaller appetites or starters some of the time.

It was a Monday night and the bar was quite busy early in the evening. The menu was really very expansive and what we ate was all done very well indeed. The staff were attentive and service during dinner was quick and efficient.
The wine list was limited but what was available was ok. The room was a good size but the bed was not that comfortable, the plug-in fridge was noisy and needed switching off in order to sleep. The sound proofing was poor - being able to hear every footstep and conversation with the room above.

Travelled alone to attend a local family gathering, just a one-night stay without breakfast. Room was warm & cozy, pefect for solo or couples, in purpose-built block of six, set back from a welcoming Hall & Woodhouse pub. Dinner & drinks at the pub were good, location was quiet, nice hot shower in the morning before setting off. Would visit again.
Mini fridge in room (stocked with complimentary water & milk, thank you) was a little bit noisy, but easy to switch off for the night, and on again in the morning. No real issue.

Excellent location for Teddy Rocks Festival, just a few minutes from the Charlton Inn. Beds very comfortable, room well stocked with everything expected (tea/coffee, hair dryer, drawers and hanging space). Accommodation separate from the main pub, so no noise, and located on a relatively quite country road, so little noise/traffic during the night. Staff very friendly and welcoming!

Had everything you needed. Nice quiet location. Wifi wasn’t too bad and they even had netflix on the tv! The bed was very comfortable and i liked how small the room was, it was very cozy! There was an ironing board, iron, filtered kettle, a fridge and even biscuits and things to make a coffee, tea and hot chocolate. It was very nice
There wasn’t enough instruction on where to book in when you arrive. You had to go to the bar but we stayed at the front door when we walked in because we wasn’t sure if it was a different part of the pub we had to book in to. A lot of people looked at us as if we were bonkers! I think the price was way too much for what it was but i understand you have to fund everything

There are six bedrooms in a separate block at the back of the Inn. The three first-floor rooms (assuming they are all the same) only have a small sky-light for air. However, a fan was provided and although the room was hot, it wasn't too bad. The bed was comfortable and everything worked (well, actually the first fan didn't but the lady in the bar found me another without fuss). The shower was very good. The highlight for me by far was the menu. The choice was huge with plenty of allergy options if required. The steak pie and veg was brilliant and the local beers were all good. I was also allowed to take my motorcycle round the back of the Inn to the patio where it was more secure, being away from prying eyes. All-in-all, the staff were very helpful and friendly. I was also directed to a really nice route to walk into town via a disused railway line. It's a decent walk of about 40 minutes to the Hall and Woodhouse Brewery and if it's your thing, the brewery is worth a visit, even if only to the bar.
The weather was very hot but I won't blame the Inn.

Separate accommodation but close proximity to the pub for food and drinks. Rooms spacious with double and two singles if required for family. Names of rooms and pictures relate to local history and locations.
We had hot water in the evening for a shower but it was cold the following morning. The second night we did not use the shower in the evening and the water was lovely and hot the following morning.

Very comfortable and clean accommodation with a shower and bar fridge, as well as coffee and tea making facilities in the room and wifi. All the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. The pub downstairs was great with excellent food and cold beer, a traditional English pub which for me as a tourist was wonderful. I was beginning to feel like a local.

The location was very handy to Blandford Forum which was the town I was there to visit. The accommodation was 'pub' accommodation and as such, I expected it to be fairly basic. It did exceed this expectation but it wasn't on the same level of a more expensive hotel. The room was upstairs which is a little tricky with a large suitcase, but the room had space and a fridge which was a bonus. The facilities were fairly basic and a little tired. Overall, the room was better than most pubs I have stayed at but on the functional end of the spectrum. The staff were just lovely and very helpful.
The bathroom was a little tired and possible not as clean as it could have been. That being said, this is pub accommodation.
