Breakfast and location were good.

I thought that paying $349 for one room of 2 queen beds for 2 adults and $320 for the other room of 2 Queen beds for one adult and 2 kids 10 and under, for ONE night was very expensive. I realize it is "high" season, but one rents a cottage for the week for $2500-$2800 these days and there is a lake and many more amenities at a cottage than at a Quality Inn, and there was no pool. However the staff were great and as I pointed out the staandards of the hotel were excellent! I also have concerns about losing all of one's deposit if one is sick or there is an emergency and you cannot come. There do not seem to be any policies to cover this with booking.com whom I used or with the hotel's website.

The room was very spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful specially Eric and morning breakfast staff. The breakfast was included and had a good variety of foods. Everything was well stocked.

The cleaning/room service staff could have done a better job of cleaning/tidying the room during our stay. It's the small things that count and they overlooked those, such as switching out conditioner and cleaning the bathroom and replacing some of the towels that we had used up.

The room was quite large, and I was pleased to see that there was a small table and some sitting chairs in the bay window (I don't like sitting on the bed to read; I find it uncomfortable). The space was cramped for the table and chairs, however, I was able to make it work. The beds were quite comfortable, with a couple of different pillow types. Breakfast offered a nice variety of options; I enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches, although wish that not all the sandwich options had cheese on them; I have a dairy sensitivity. The coffee was good, and there were also some Keurig options, which I liked better. The location was very convenient for us to visit the area, with the hotel being right on the Bluewater Highway. This allowed easy access to Owen Sound (40 minutes), Southampton (2 minutes), Port Elgin (12 minutes), Sauble Beach (15 minutes), Kincardine (40 minutes), and more. This was our first time staying in the area and I anticipate that we will be coming back, and likely to stay here.

Its location served us well. Going south, visiting Port Elgin, and North to the Sauble Beach. The breakfast was good. I didn't like the honey and the boiled eggs, but there were plenty of other things. The towels were changed daily. The garbage was removed and soap replaced, also it was refilled the coffee and tea daily. A little bit of bleach in the showers floor and bathroom countertop will make the place shine.

The staff was friendly and helpful when asked a few questions. The location is just outside of town, but easily you can walk to the lake on residential streets.

There is a big price hike on weekend nights and I didn't feel this hotel was worth what they were asking. Some of the furniture in our room was looking a bit rough.

Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. Breakfast was better than I expected.

2 minor items: An extra towel bar in bathroom would have been great. The "reach" on the bathroom tap was a little short and water tended to run onto counter top instead of the sink.

It was great quality all around, nice rooms, parking lot, nice Christmas decorations inside, free coffee and tea area 24/7. One of my favourite things was the two chairs and table in the rooms so you don’t always have to sit on a bed or desk chair. Nice touch. It had a nice breakfast every morning with the essentials for your day like a make your own Belgium waffle which is always fun and some classic stuff like cereal, oatmeal, muffin, yogurt, egg sandwiches, bananas, hard boiled eggs. Also some orange and apple juice. Everyone working there is so kind and down to earth. They were helpful when we needed their assistance. The main road with the shops and restaurants was about a 10 min walk, …if that. It was snowy, so I imagine in the summer it would be an extra quick walk. It was great to go grab food for dinner in the evenings. It was also a short walk to the water to take in that beautiful view as well as the market, the museum and to fairy lake which is a nice peaceful spot. Overall, it’s a top drawer hotel!

Staff very friendly. The buffet was good . I enjoyed having coffee and tea on the main floor at all times. The rooms were very clean and shower had very good water pressure The hotel was well situated.

Ample parking space included in the room tariff. Room was clean. TV, WiFi, AC, Refrigerator, Coffee machine were provided in the room. Room was spacious. Breakfast was limited but was good enough to start your day on a great note. The dining are was cleaned regularly and supplies were restocked on time.

Spacious room, spacious bathroom. My family was pleasantly surprised. From the outside, this inn didn't look like much, so we were just expecting the minimal but the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Would definitely put up here again if we visit this region the next time.
