Everything perfect. I was looking for a quiet restful place and it ticked all boxes

Some reviews complain that you have to walk along the beach for 300 metres to get there. That’s what I loved. No traffic noise. Beautiful.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights. Jebbie is a wonderful host and runs a very well organised clean resort. Rooms are basic, comfortable with great fast wifi. Loved the bed and pillows, both were firm, no waking up with neck pain here. The more you stay here the slower you become, it’s all about letting go, there is no where to rush to which I loved. It’s located at the bottom of the island, 40 mins by shuttle bus. There is motorbike hire available, walks to the water fall, daily swims in the sea, laying around with a good book. Just perfect. Hope this place never changes.

We didn’t really appreciate the smokers, the smoke from their balcony’s when sat outside can drift over to you making it unpleasant at times. Two nights of our stay the resort next door played loud music, the first night wasn’t too bad, Saturday it went until midnight and I wasn’t able to sleep. That hotel should be more considerate of the neighbouring properties.

I spent 2 weeks here with my Wife in September 25. The great impression started with the meeting by staff at the Klong Kloi Bridge. This was reinforced by Jebbi the on site manager who went out of her way to assist with delayed baggage, The resort is on the beach with everything needed for a beach holiday. There is a restaurant right next door and other local businesses such as massage and scooter rental within walking distance.

We went in the off peak season.

Excellent location in a heavenly setting. The staff is always super friendly and willing to help, specially the owner. All rooms have sea views. The quality/price ratio is more than adequate. Although there is no food service, there is a restaurant right next to the resort, with a wide variety of food and drinks.

We have been there several times and our room looks still the same. The pillows are extremely uncomfortable. Guests reserve hammocks and they don't show up for hours, so sometimes we had to sit in worse-located hammocks while the others are empty with the towels. We would have loved to have a smoke-free place.

Best beach on the island in my opinion. If you want a peaceful and serene experience this is the place, everything shuts very early on this part of the island but it’s worth the beauty of the area. The bungalows are an absolute dream, comfiest beds I’ve slept in, the beach is your garden and you can sit on the porch watching the waves at your doorstep. You also get private sun loungers you can sit on and because there are so many trees you can chose between shade and sun. There’s lots of cute hermit crabs in the sand as well. The staff are very attentive and lovely! I was gutted that I’d booked to stay on lonely beach for the second half of our stay because none where as beautiful as this.

Everything was perfect

This is a truly magical place. The staff and owner are exceptional and go above and beyond to help you in anyway you need. The beach is fantastic and you can choose to be in the sun or relax under the natural shade of the trees. There are many phenomenal restaurants within a 5 minute walk. So many good choices that we couldn’t get to all of them during our 3 day stay. If you are vegan, you will be amazed how easy it is to eat in this area! We cannot wait to come back many times down the road. Love, love, love this place. It was a highlight of our three week trip to Thailand.

Loved this place! So quiet and secluded but still plenty to do. Walked straight out of our bungalow onto the beautiful beach. The restaurant next door (Siam kitchen) was amazing and the Rasta chill bar at the end of the beach was exactly that - chill. We loved our stay here.

Only downside was it was a little far from the hustle and bustle of white sands beach. The hills mean you’d have to be quite comfortable on a scooter to get there by yourself, however a taxi in was 200 per person so still accessible.

BangBaoBeach Resort is the best resort on the south-coast of Koh Chang! The wooden bungalows with airco&private bathrooms are simply good and well organizes in the garden directly at the beach! Lot of shade from the trees if you want, otherwise you can always move the sunbeds to a more sunny spot! Beds are comfy, staff is super friendly and they work hard. Next door is the Siam restaurant where you can get great coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. The beach is nice too, sand only (no rocks) and you can swim easily here!

absolutely wonderful place, very clean, quiet, not crowded. no problem to find free sunbeds. plenty of retaurants within walking distance. make sure you have enough cash, if not you will need to take a trip with local taxi to closest biggest villlage(Lonely beach) to exchange money, as all restaurants accept cash only. wonderful massage on the beach. The place is a paradise. The owner is very helpful and arranged for transfer to her hotel and back to Bkk for us.

Sand flies, but there's nothing that can be done about it.

I loved our bungalow right by the sea, it was beautiful! As close to the sea as you can get, you can see the sea from your own bed :) Lots of glass sections connecting the room to the beach, open bathroom, mosquito net (although we didn't see any insects at all). During the day there were some people on the beach on the sun loungers, but in the morning and evening there were few people, a quiet place.

We had the bungalow closest to the sea. It was beautiful for us. But if someone is the type that needs silence when sleeping, they might mind hearing the sea all night.
