After arriving back from Marcel’s restaurant having had a wonderful meal, recommended by Marion . At 9:15 pm I asked the young receptionist if the bar was open as I fancied a pint and she told me it was closed. An hour or so later I went down to my camper to get a beer from the fridge. On the way back I noticed two different people at reception a young man and a girl , I asked if the bar is open and they said it was so I went in and had a few refreshing drinks.

We stayed here the night before our ferry back to Ireland. This is an excellent hotel, there was 3 of us booked and we ended up in a bedroom for 4, with two separate areas which was a great surprise. The hotel is spotless, and the breakfast was ample. It was excellent value for money! There was free parking outside. We stayed in the "budget" side, but were able to use the bar in the "non budget side", which had a little kids area which colouring etc.. so we could enjoy a pint while our daughter played. There is a restaurant onsite but if it doesn't suit there is a Mc Donalds, Burger King and Buffalo Grill local. The location is excellent, as you are right on the ring road to the ferry 15 mins away. It is also beside WBS Cherbourg for filling up on wine before the ferry home.

The staff had a very poor level of English, both at check in and in the bar, it was difficult to communicate even basics such as where our room was, if we had paid or not, and even ordering 2 pints was difficult. For a hotel frequented by a lot by people coming and going for ferrys from Ireland/England I would expect a better standard of English. however it would not put me off and I would book again if required.

Very clean comfortable and good location from ferry port. Bus just up the road and shopping centre opposite. McDonald’s literally next to the hotel if not getting food. Bar next door with restaurant. Amazed how good value this was better than any uk hotel for the same price staff were helpful and spoke English and check in was very easy

Couldn’t get a cup of tea in the morning but they had coffee hit chocolate other drinks etc

Perfect stopover for our next day ferry. Convenient for wide range of eateries - from brasserie to Chinese to grill and fast food - all within easy walking distance. Also able to use the local Beer and Wine Warehouse to top-up our stock of French wines and beers. We wanted a good nights sleep, somewhere to eat, convenient for shopping and easy access to the port; we achieved everything

We stayed for 1 night before catching the ferry home. It was ideally located for the port with free parking. The budget hotel was very clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable and had a decent shower. We had the breakfast and it was good. We ate our evening meal in the more upmarket ibis next door and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend for a stop over!

The only fault was the divider screen in our bedroom wouldnt pull across as the runner was broken. This proved awkward for our teenager daughter however as we were only there for the 1 night, we improvised with hooking it across as best we could to give her privacy when showering and changing. ( the shower cubicle is in the room not in a separate bathroom). Apart from that, all was good

The room was a lot better than the last one we stayed at here. Bigger and more comfy. And our car was parked right outside our window! Staff are lovely, and really helpful.

Breakfast isn't great to be honest. The breakfast room is too small and there isn't enough space for everyone. I was getting a coffee, and there was quite a queue behind me waiting for orange juice and coffee. No croissants and very little bread, but when I went back in about 10 mins the baskets were full. More space needed definitely.

Really clean and good value . Really good WiFi and air con available. Adequate breakfast.Good parking and convenient for ferry. Fast food outlet immediately outside no need to take life in hands crossing a busy dual carriageway as is common.

We were prepared for breakfast rush but might help to have two coffee machines or aisles

The room was comfortable and well planned with separate shower and wc. It had wonderful dado rail lighting with easy controls from the bed. The breakfast was much better than we expected of a budget hotel. There was ample secure parking.

Perhaps the space at the bottom of the bed was a little tight.

For a budget Hotel, this ibis was exceptional Perfect location 10 minutes from the ferry Friendly, nice breakfast, very clean and comfortable room Dog friendly

No serviettes/ coverings available for holding bread when cutting .. health risk !!

Really great location for access to ferry, we stayed overnight after a long drive, loved the 12 check out. The hotel is close to a decent sized shopping centre with an Auchan hyper so useful for last minute bits and pieces. 2 minute drive from the Wine and Beer Supermarket !
