It was a safe, secure motel and we could park the car out the front of our room. We were arriving late after reception closed and we got sent a text message with instructions and what a wonderful surprise to walk in and find cheese and biscuits and bottled water in the fridge, this was just perfect for us as we had been traveling for 14 hours that day. So impressed and would highly recommend this motel.

Couldn’t quite work out how to enter due to a road train parked out the front but we eventually found it.

I love the fact that I can stay with my dogs and cat. The enclosed patio made it safe for my dogs and cat to have outdoor time. The staff was very welcoming and caring. One of my dogs had an operation and staff were caring in checking up on my dog in the morning. I would recommend this motel to anyone travelling with pets. The food was very nice and well presented. Travelling from a very remote area they were flexible with check-in times.

If you dont have a car it is a bit out of town and you need to take a taxi into town.

The Staff were amazing, super friendly, Always smiling happy to chat and help where possible. Very Helpful. Great family environment. The pool was Great, The air con helped you deal with the Heat and humidity. The restaurant and bar served beautiful meals, in a timely manor. The drinks were refreshing and cold, The outdoor section had a fan which was welcoming on hot afternoons. The overall facilities, Washing/drying room were acceptable, The rooms were tidy. Despite next to major highway the rooms were 95% sound proof. and the staff kept rooms nice and tidy daily.

Parking is right outside your door. There’s a back yard with a chair and chairs in the front of your room as well. The air con was good. The king spa was great as well. The bed was ok and it was a clean place. Toaster and iron/board were in the cupboard. Two hangers were in the wardrobe. Could have had 2 more. It’s also closer to the airport and it has a bar and grill restaurant on site. Check in was a breeze. Food was beautiful. There’s a microwave and a hat

The backyard could have had a table so people can eat outside instead of eating in your bar and grill restaurant which was quite expensive. The cleaners came to clean our place and binned the 2 paper cups we had for our coffee. They should have replaced it but they didn’t. It would have been great to have a couple of coffee mugs, plates cutlery just so that people can bring takeAway and eat there. We were only given 1 bigger towel and 2 small ones. We checked in at about 6 and I asked the girl if we could check out a little bit later but she said no. The soap dispenser ran out on the first night and no one came to change it.

Staff members were kindly and dog friendly

The washing machine and dryer were extremely old and could only handle a very small load. My laundry was less than half of a standard laundry basket. I spent $10 on the dryer, but my laundry was still completely wet. In the end, I had to drive to a nearby laundromat to dry my clothes. They shouldn’t be telling customers that laundry facilities are available.

Did not have breakfast but the dinner was excellent. Friendly and professional staff. Have previously stayed at Abacus Motel and the facilities have been improved. Happy to find a motel that supports people travelling with pets.

Nil significant issues identified. Travelled with a pet and while appreciating the enclosed outdoor area it was not suitable in the heat. No shade and the bricks became very hot with a burn risk to paws. This is not a showstopper as I would stay in these facilities again but a consideration only to improve pet experience as well.

Had a great stay in a comfortable pet friendly room. Friendly staff and management, great service, very nice bar and resturant onsite with nice food and competative prices. Lots of grassed area to walk dog. Covered parking and easy drive to town. Have stayed here twice now and both times I was impressed and happy with our stay.

Great initial reception experience. Restaurant open and offering a good menu selection at reasonable rates.Thoughtful adding the cheese plate when you arrive. Good room facilities and also smart leaving the tick box for what had been done.

The crackers were stale on the cheese plate. Maybe wrap them separately in cling wrap.

This was perfectly located. The Hotel management Debbie and Dale were amazing extremely helpful and professional excellent to deal with thank you both so much loved my stay. The staff are amazing from keeping the grounds in lovely condition to the rooms been kept maintained and cleaned also the food in the restaurant was perfect.The atmosphere here was first class felt welcome every time I came back from work was like home away from home would like to say thanks to Dale,Debbie and staff will definitely stay here the next time I am in town.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Abacus Motel. The management and staff were fantastic. They were happy and friendly and very interested in our journey. We ate in the on site restaurant and the food was amazing. There was acgreat selection and the food was delicious.

If we could have stayed longer.
