The front desk hostess was so nice. The room we stayed in was nice and chilled when when we got there, thankfully, because it was so humid outside! The bed was nice and cozy and the facilities were clean! The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and entertainment. It is close to Fort Clinch which has beach access (and is never crowded) as well as downtown Fernandina which has great spots to eat and shop! Overall, the hotel is in a great location and serves its purpose well!

We enjoyed the hotel stay. Service was amazing. The Breakfast bar was always fully stacked. It lacked nothing. The Breakfast Lady was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The beach was within walking distance from the hotel which we really liked as well as there was a State Park right next to the hotel with the Fort. We got to experience Historical Amelia Island downtown and made it to the Farmers Market which was amazing. We will definitely be back.

The location is great. Breakfast is great

Coffee was poor, even for continental breakfast. Room was dirty, stains on couch, comforter was dirty but tucked under the bed corner. Air conditioner leaked all the the floor and made carpet very wet. Desk notified, didn't stop problem. I've been worse places, it was a bed to sleep in and shower worked. Soap dish ripped off and who really uses them anyway, but maybe repair the place it was ripped off the wall.

I did not know this was a choice hotel property. I was happy to discover that upon arrival. I had not been to this area of Florida and was struck by the beauty and the obvious intention that was taken to make this hotel attractive. It is close to the beach and to Fort Clinch State Park. It is a pet-friendly place. The staff was great. It is a quick drive to the store if you forget something and the downtown has many great restaurants and shops. I will return in 2025 for a short visit because I liked this property so much.

The locals and the hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Some of the other guests left something to be desired. They were rude and selfish which was hard to watch as that ruins the experience of others around you when you act like a child. I felt bad for the hotel staff. The staff was so kind and did not deserve to deal with people's bad behavior. One other item is the entrance to the hotel is a bit tight so parking under the covered entry to unload belongings is a bit difficult again this was made worse by other people's bad behavior. It is true courtesy is no longer common. This is not the hotel's fault. I recommend using the side street to bypass the entryway. The rear exit is by the pool and very easy to maneuver.

Comfort Inn is currently under transition to Sand and Surf, and from our observations, has been doing lots of painting and upgrading to their establishment. It’s wonderful to have a clean fresh room to stay in. We absolutely LOVE to visit the Fort Clinch beaches just north of this hotel, and that entrance is just a couple hundred feet from hotel +++! We also, absolutely love “Salt Life Food Shack” food and dining, and this is just a very short walk from hotel. This is a plus for us as well. We’ve stayed at at least 3 different hotels at Amelia Island before Comfort Inn, but based on location, cleanliness, friendliness…. We would be apt to stay at this hotel again. Friends visited with us at the same time and liked their stay (their room as well) and didn’t express any dissatisfaction with them.

During this “upgrade period”, our bathroom door needs to have a doorknob that actually “fits” the opening. Other than that…. It was totally satisfactory to us.

Good location across from beach. Very comfortable bed. Quiet hotel for sleeping.very close to Circle K gas station and places to eat.

Rooms could use updating. Scratched up doors,sofa upholstery needed some cleaning.Breakfast area is at one end of reception and not in separate space. Breakfast choices adequate but nothing spectacular. Pool area small with limited lounges and no shade.

Hotel smelled fantastic. Staff were super friendly and nice. The room is spacious and clean and the water pressure on the shower was perfect.

I figured I would write a review and give it a 9/10. 1/2 point loss for the pool - needs to be updated and kept up a little better. 1/2 point loss for the breakfast - fruit , breads etc were fine. There were no waffles and the pancakes were only so so. The coffee though - hard pass. Bring your own instant stuff and get hot water at the coffee station.

The staff, we were escaping the path of hurricane Milton and the staff was very accommodating to all of our needs. The facility was very clean and well maintained. We will go back there during better circumstances to enjoy a stay there in your spectacular surroundings area. Thanks to all of your employees. They went above and beyond their regular duties to make sure our stay was enjoyable!! 😁

Closeness to beach and restaurants. Beds were fantastic for sleeping. Very comfortable room!

Breakfast could’ve been better, but it was typical hotel breakfast. If the coffee was better the breakfast would have been much better. Good coffee usually saves the day! Also the coffee cups leaked! In the room where we slept, refrigerator made grinding noises and safe did not work to lock and some of the lights were unplugged

It was very clean and had numerous eating places nearby. There was a park and a basketball court right across the street and it was walking distance to the beach. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The bathroom close to the front foyer was out of toilet paper and paper towels for one full day which made it difficult when you have 4 people and a toddler in the room. The staff was told but it was never looked at for that day.
