Everything about Goodbread House is exceptional. Our room was eclectically decorated and welcoming. St. Marys has a great small-town, relaxed atmosphere; all you need is walkable from the Goodbread. We'll be back for the breakfast which was delicious and different each morning. Not to mention complimentary cookies, fruit, and wine in the afternoon! Amazing place with a special thanks to Mardja who is the creative force, Chef and baker who makes it so wonderful.

The room was impeccably clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable visit. The house itself was a delightful blend of culture and history, offering a unique and immersive experience. The owner was exceptionally accommodating and welcoming, consistently checking to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and genuine hospitality made a significant difference, especially considering the challenging circumstances brought on by Hurricane Milton. Despite the storm's impact, the owner's efforts to make guests feel at ease and cared for truly helped alleviate the stress and inconvenience typically associated with such weather events. Their thoughtfulness and dedication to guest comfort transformed what could have been a difficult situation into a memorable and pleasant experience. Moreover, St. Mary's proved to be a beautiful destination where one can truly unwind and soak in the picturesque scenery.

We can honestly say that there wasn't anything we disliked. We had a great experience overall, and we can't think of any negative aspects to report. The accommodations, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, contributing to a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Even with the unexpected challenge of Hurricane Milton, the owner's attentiveness and care ensured that our experience remained positive throughout. In short, there were no downsides or disappointments to speak of during our visit.

Beautiful and historic property with a wonderful host (Marja) who took the time to explain everything and be super helpful getting us lunch before our island trip. Would definitely recommend it. The rooms are very comfortable with large bathrooms and she offers a happy hour and delicious breakfast.

I liked it all. If you don't like the sort of traditional, old world vibe, there are not a lot of options in Historic St. Marys

Marjda, the owner and Carol, her assistant, make your stay warm and welcoming. The rooms are roomy and comfortable but also fun. The house/ home is full of stories and past film stars. It is eclectic and humorous. One of a kind thanks to Marjda. Breakfasts are amazing and set you up for the day. The verandahs are perfect to enjoy the wine and snacks Marjda also provides. Also a great location for Cumberland Island and to explore St Mary's. Would stay again and again. Thank you Marjda and Carol.

Location was perfect! Easy walking to restaurants and the Cumberland ferry. Breakfast was delicious and I was able to have a vegetarian option. Coffee and treats (fresh baked cookies!) available throughout the day and complimentary wine in the evening. The rooms are large and comfortable, each with a famous couple theme. Will definitely stay here again. Also conveniently located next to a bookstore!🙂

OMG. This is the best Bed and Breakfast ever!!!! The beauty and detail to a glamorous breakfast both the food and the table settings. The room was absolutely the best, comfortable beds, even a TV in the room. Sitting upstairs on the balcony with a glass of wine and delicious cookies provided for you was so relaxing and visiting with the other guests was awesome. I cannot wait to come again !!!! this is a great get away with your spouse or friends.

The innkeeper, Mardja, is a true gem. She is demure, soulful, kind, considerate, welcoming and so much more. She not only adds to the charm of Goodbread but she is the charm!! Everything was PERFECT! I am hoping to relocate to the area and will always recommend visitors to stay at Goodbread unless they choose to stay with me.

Beautiful home and gracious staff. Excellent breakfast, quiet, super cute and holiday decorations plentiful yet tasteful. Great shower in Gable/Lombard room.

Didn't seem like there was someone on-site 24/7, would prefer to not leave room key in empty lodging when departing. Could be a safety concern. Gable/Lombard bathroom could use a towel bar. Otherwise, excellent accommodations.

The love of the hostes went above and beyond. What a beautiful hostes inside and out, your kindness and love for your guests above all expectations. When the world seems so busy you gave us a soft and peaceful place to go, to lay our hearts and heads for a rest. Thank you for stopping the world's worrys for a moment for us.
