Working in the area for 3 days, stayed at the Wellborn for 2 nights. All staff were excellent. They were courteous, professional and helpful. My room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. Food was good quality breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the rooftop bar was also very good. I would happily come back to the Wellborn if working in the area again.

When working in my room or the downstairs lounge I found that the WiFi was stable, but it wasn't quite as quick for download/upload of documents as I am used to in the UK. However , this is only a minor observation and I was still able to have video meetings and work effectively.

Complimentary parking and valet services are provided. The hotel boasts a superb location. It offers both sea and mountain views; I find the mountain view particularly appealing. The hotel's proximity to a mosque means the call to prayer is audible throughout the day. Breakfast is delicious and offers a satisfying variety. The breakfast area is generously sized. The shower offers excellent water pressure and temperature control. The gym is open from 10 to 10. However, I asked to use it after 10, and they allowed me. It represents exceptional value for the price. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel in Izmit.

The room had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, and even though the hotel staff kindly changed our room, the odor remained. I noticed that some other rooms were free of this smell, so I believe a stronger emphasis on enforcing the hotel's non-smoking policy, which they assured me applies to the entire hotel, would be beneficial. Additionally, the gym equipment appears quite dated and could benefit from maintenance or replacement, and perhaps a wider variety of machines would be appreciated.

The hotel location, interior, and facilities were great. I booked a family suite and there was a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The view was beautiful. There are 3 parking areas. Hotel staff were friendly. There is a variety of breakfast foods.

The AC was quite weak and the power cut off multiple times. The pool closes when there’s an event. The website lacks details and pictures about the family suite, so I didn’t know what to expect. More information and pictures should be added.

A well and exceptional stay for me and my family, staff was super friendly and super professional, although it was my bad to land at istanbul airport at 2am, and had to drive to kocaeli, the staff made me check in super early without extra charge, thanks so much for this, rooms and everything was perfect. And this will make me book at this hotel again and again

Spacious room with good en suite facilities. The hotel was large but there was never any noise. Lovely indoor pool and spa facilities. The room had air con, but it was still rather warm. We did not use the restaurant so can’t comment on that.

I would loved the staff to be a bit more welcoming.

Great hotel, very clean and the staff changed our room to a sea view room with no extra cost. The view from the roof top bar was amazing!

We really need wanted a massage in the spa, however it was fully booked for the whole stay- despite the hotel not being full. This is quite frustrating

The location was exceptional, the breakfast was super; all staff were wonderful, very helpful and supportive at any time. The rooms are spacious, very clean and with a nice views either at the sea or at the forest. All amenities are available.

The location is super nice, next to the sea. A lot of good restaurants and cafes around the hotel and within 5 - 10 minutes walking. The hotel restaurant is great and has a lot of varieties at a very reasonable prices. The breakfast is excellent and has a lot of varieties. The staff are very helpful and they speak excellent english.

Asked for an Iron and a table and had to wait 2 days to get it (After calling many times), room service is slow, some guest are smoking in the balcony although it says clearly no smoking!
