Alarms went off several times at night, which was very unsettling and not relaxing at all (no apology or anything from the hotel) It is still under construction, not all the restaurants and bars operate how adverised Probably the first hotel in the world where there is no butter available at breakfast and needed to be requested from the kitchen. Most bread needed to be cut from big loafs but the person responsible to do it was not attentive and did not react for two mornings, no water availble at breakfast buffet

We stayed at La Zambar for 3 nights and there are no words to describe our amazing staying there.It started before we arrived when I reached the hotel by email and requested their help with my planning to ask my girlfriend to marry me. Manuel, from LA Zambar stuff, helped me and made sure that the proposal will be unforgettable. And so it was. EVERYTHING was AMAZING - the room, food, pool, and of course the view! saying that we were just speechless about the stuff and service.

The refurbishment of this iconic hotel is stunning minimalist in parts, with beautiful artistically decorated areas. The pool areas and gardens are beautifully done with an amazing vista which encompasses the golf and Andalucían mountains that is a tranquil relaxing environment. Having visited the old Byblos many years ago and watched as it stood derelict, this is truly a phenix rising from the ashes. I’m sure in the coming years, this Hotel will return as one of the must destinations on the costa del sol. The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful giving an excellent level of service.

We took breakfast in our apartment on our 1st & last mornings - delivered on time by professional staff who really do care about providing a delightful memorable customer experience. Every staff member that serviced our every need are a credit to themselves and the Hyatt organisation. Please extend to these hardworking people our heartfelt thanks and appreciation. My family and I will, all being well, return to La Zambra in the near future.

My wife mentioned that the sun lounger mattresses should be clean prior to use by clients each day. Some were dirty, even muddy. Obviously these beds will become dirty during the day due to being located on lawned areas, but more effort is needed, I agree.

Service was excellent from everyone at all times. The free kids club from 10am until 6pm was also excellent as a family with 2 young children. Good choice of high quality options for the breakfast.

2 dishes we ordered weren't that great. Gambas pil pil the prawns weren't deveined and the garlic was slightly overcooked and the iberico pork was a tiny portion and overcooked. The family suite was actually 2 rooms with an interconnecting corridor. We had expected a single room and the view was of a car park. The poached eggs at breakfast weren't great nor the eggs benedict.

The hotel is very clean and in a quiet location. Very modern and minimalistic design. Services like spa, yoga, valet parking, room service were excellent. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful.

Quality of food was good, however service at the pool bar and breakfast was sometimes slow. Orders were forgotten or mixed up, even though it was low season and only few guests at the hotel. The menu at all restaurants didn’t have variation throughout the day - it was the same everyday for lunch and dinner. For stays of more than 3-4 days, we’d recommend to look for other options nearby.

the staff were good and always cheerful the breakfast was excellent the guys on arrival valet parking and luggage were ready and willing people on reception were very helpful and efficient

i suggested a small hand rail be fitted in the walk in shower for older guests and if you stayed longer than a couple of days the menu would be very repetative in the palmito restaurant but the service was good
