Look, this hotel isn’t The Ritz, it’s a budget hostal, you get what you pay for, but it’s very clean and functional, the staff are lovely and very accommodating, the location is in the very busy “fish alley” area, less than a 10 minute walk from the railway station, 200m to the beach and harbour. I didn’t use the bar or food area so I can’t comment on that. It had a sun terrace with outside seating, the water was hot and the A/C was cold. It’s everything I needed for a short 5 night stay, at the price I was happy to pay. I would definitely stay again.

Like every other Spanish hostal I’ve used over the years, it can be a bit noisy late at night with people returning to the hostal after being out on the town, this is more due to the heavy wooden doors/furniture and marble floors than the guest being deliberately noisy, I didn’t expect The Italia to be any different. I’m not criticising, I’m just stating a fact so fellow travellers are aware this is how it is..

Great location near to beach and shops, restuarants and station. Room and bathroom small but had all that was needed and was cleaned daily. Comfortable lounge with books so was able to relax there. The price was very good in comparison to several other places I have stayed in Fuengirola.

Pillow was a bit soft and lumpy. I stayed 4 nights and the first 3 were excellent, I slept perfectly and heard no noise. The last night 27th June was a nightmare. It appeared to be a large family group staying and the noise was horrendous. Banging on doors shouting, children running up and down screaming until 3.30 am. The person on night reception did nothing and I dont really blame him this was the first in all the visits to Fuengirola that I felt not scared exactly but certainly uncomfortable and sleep was out of the question.

The Hotel Italia is an extremely economical choice in Fuengirola. if we ever plan on visiting the area again we will be staying there. It puts the big hotels we have stayed in along the Costa Del Sol in the shade, staff are friendly, rooms are clean, the air conditioning actually cools the room down, breakfast is inexpensive, location is great only minutes from the beach and near bars and restaurants in town. There is a lounge area and outdoor patio for guests which we sat in to read our book or play cards.

We had to go to reception to borrow a hairdryer as there wasn't one in the room, but that is a minor issue compared to all the other great things the hotel has to offer.

I loved the staff as they were extremely friendly and the hostel is always immaculate. Great location for food and the beach. The bedroom has a comfortable bed and older furniture, but the bathroom was immaculate with a toilet, bidet, sink and powerful shower. I will definitely stay there again and I had an amazing stay.

I didn't like my bed being broken the evening I arrived but the hotel owner immediately fix it the next morning.

Great location, 5 minute walk from the train station and 100m from the beach front. It’s a budget hotel so it’s not The Ritz but it’s clean, well run, the beds are comfortable, the water is hot and the air con is cold, it’s everything I needed.

Don't be put off as they advertise it as a hostal, but really its a simple hotel. Where it was located (2 mins from beach/ restaurants etc.) and what you got for its cost was great. I was a solo traveller, so single small room (internal). The bed was comfortable, it had a decent bathroom and the room had aircon. It was cleaned, bed made and towels changed daily. There was a basic breakfast (coffee, juice and toast) if you wanted for €3. What most could you ask tbh. Would def stay again

Nothing really. Only thing you need to know about, it was a internal room with a window (which I kept closed & curtained because of the corridor movements), so no ouside view (streetside) or light. Totally no problem with that, and the staff did inform me of that before I arrived.

Excellent Location, Very clean, staff excellent, basic accommodation but more than met our expectations, only toast and coffee for breakfast but was excellent especially the coffee and the toast for that matter, cannot fault this place and location is second to none, if you are looking for basic cost effective accommodation look no further

This is not a complaint but Wifi is only available in the reception and not in the rooms, so be aware you have to sit in reception for Wifi but it is a pleasant comfy reception

The staff were excellent Peter was the first I meet And was so helpful and welcoming.

I was only left 2 towels. The first lady left me 4 towels every morning until another cleaning Lady removed them and left one small and one large which was a bit disappointing.

Clean ,location ,near to the beach and train station, stores , it's in the center of city ,connexion internet is nice

Nothing special only they have put tower cleaning in the bathroom because it fills with water once i finish a shower

our first room wasn't well maintained, so we asked for a change. the second room was ok. The location is very central and might be noisy on weekends.

Wifi doesn't work at corner units at floors 3 and 4.
