We have stayed quite a few times at the PYR, we like it great position for beach, places to eat. We had a great room on first floor ideal as walking not my best. Pool bar was ideal for us snacks and drinks. Hotel always clean could not fault at all.

Would have been good to know of the building work around the pool ! Not the biggest issue but would have been good to know at least. We did not use the breakfast room looked a poor offering for the price. The staff at reception were welcoming but were not so helpful when asked something they could not be bothered to deal with, took 3 visits and copies of emails and quick meeting with supervisor to deal with simple task.

Location is fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool area large and always beds available.

Room cleans were poor. We kept the room tidy and cleaned any mess ourselves, but a floor sweep would have been nice and perhaps a wipe over the bathroom counter tops etc. We were also located right at the front of the hotel next to the alley with the strip club, not the hotels fault, but was a bit loud with the 'workers' earning extra cash down the back of the alley! We could have asked to move but we were only there a few days. We've been before and will go again so don't be put off, just try not get the rooms near the front on floor 1.

We stayed in Room 306 and we were very happy with the room which was over a quiet cul de sac and it had a balcony with a side view of the Swimming pool and the beach. The studio was bright and airy and very generous in size. The hotel coped very well with the power outage that had affected France Spain & Portugal occurred while we were there and we were delighted that the hotel had a generator which ensured that we had lighting in all the corridors and this meant our key cards also worked and we also had full lights in the reception and cafeteria/lounge area where there was plenty of sockets where we could charge our phones. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were cleaned and towels were changed daily.

There was nothing we disliked about the property. The only thing that we would have liked to see was more coat hangers and some hooks for hanging up clothes in the bathroom and living area for clothes & coats. Also the hinged shower door also allowed water escape underneath it so we had to ensure that we kept towels on the floor to prevent us slipping on the wet surface.

We had a two bedroom apartment with sea view. it was excellent. Cleaning service was amazing and all staff were very friendly. The pool area was lovely and relaxed and life guard on duty at all times. Great location, central to all amenities and room had air conditioning which was helpful as it was extremely hot so could tip back for a break from the heat.

We are Irish and my kids wear a t-shirt swimming to help cover up their fair skin during the hottest time of the day but the life guard wouldn't let them in the pool with t-shirt over their swimwear. There were no signs indicating this anywhere in the pool and it was a bit annoying. I think if this is a rule it needs to be highlighted around the pool area.

The beds were small and uncomfortable.

Really good sized superior studio room nicely furnished looked brand new, well equipped Kitchenette comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom, nice breakfsst and a nice sea view, near lots of supermarkets nearby, not far from centre of town and railway station ,good value for money.

One bedside light did not work properly would not switch of at source, had to take key card out of holder at night, informed reception nothing done. Went for a meal in the Bistro at 18.30 one night but was informed that the kitchen was closed, which was dissapointng. So just had some tapas and a glass of Wine.

Staff very friendly, helpful, accommodating. Helped me out with something last minute as well and kept me in the sane room. Always kept very clean. Free upgrade at the time of booking. Amazing location very lovely room and lovely staff. Thank you so much! Lush pool as well. Cleaned regularly too. Me and my family stay here other times and definitely will again and highly recommend :)

The kids pool was closed due to renovations we always stay in this hotel for our family holiday we were not notified the poolside area would be like a building site the kids pool re opened 5 days into our stay and was very dirty which lead to our daughter contracting a UTI which almost lead to a planned surgery been rescheduled

Convenient location, it's good to have a restaurant in the building.

Unfortunately the pool is not heated at the moment due to environmental legislation - they need to upgrade. So I didn't get a chance to use it - but building works and a confusing layout on the first floor meant even when I tried, I got lost and it looked unappealing. Hopefully it will be sorted soon. Also some building work noise in the (privately owned) apartment rooms next to us on weekdays.

The central beachfront location was great, the rooms were large, small kitchen was perfect for the times we didn’t want to eat out, the included breakfast was excellent, staff were prompt and friendly, all around a great place to stay in December.

The “heated pool” wasn’t heated, and with the mix of hotel rooms and private rooms there was frequently a lingering smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways that occasionally would waft through the room 🤢. I’m also not sure how this location would be in the busy season as far as noise concerned for those who don’t want to stay awake and party all night.
