N/A at resort. Finding breakfast or any meal in Sundridge is tricky as the restaurants are closed a lot. You have to do a lot of internet searches to figure out what is open when. They also close early. Just FYI for others going to Sundridge whether staying at The Caswell or elsewhere.

Neil and his family are doing a great job working to improve The Caswell. These things take time and money. From what I understand it is already much improved from before they bought it just before Covid hit. For the price we paid $903 it was no big deal that there were a few pretzels under the couch. The important things were done like clean bedding and bathroom. Had we been paying the $1800 or more for places in the area then I would expect near perfection. Let's face it there is likely stuff under the couch at home too. Don't sweat the small stuff. The location right on the water with a beach and a huge dock to sit on is wonderful. That's the reason for going right? If you want perfect then be prepared to pay waaaay more. We loved it at The Caswell. We stayed in #17.

The room was bright and clean. Nice and close to the water. Very relaxing! When I went to the front desk to ask for more coffee for the room, they were very friendly and helpful.

No Restaurant for meals at the hotel and Sunday had limited restaurants to eat at in town. Also the caulking around the shower was getting a little moldy and should be replaced but the rest of the cleanliness was excellent.

Cute place with newly renovated room! Very spacious and close to restaurants by the water. The resort is lakefront and the beach is awesome for kids. Nice and shallow and sandy. Very picturesque! Good value. Can’t beat the price.

My front door wouldn’t lock leaving my items unsecured. Also maybe a keypad for entry into the building should be added. That way only hotel guests can enter the premises.

Staff were helpful and courteous. The view from our room (we were given an apt with separate bedroom) of Lake Bernard was breath-taking. We had a patio walkout The room was austere but functional with a fine frig (with working mini-freezer) and 2-cup coffee maker. The TV was gigantic with an amazing plethora of channels. The local (busy!) pizza place is almost attached to the building. A breakfast restaurant or grocery store (FOODLAND) is a 5-minute drive. SUNDRIDGE is a quiet, sleepy town--crossing the street, I only had to wait once for a passing car. Caswell offers excellent WI-FI.

Well--I am a senior: the entrance to the office is a 10-step walk-up . lol. I can hardly fault Caswell for that. The bathroom fan (automatic) was quite noisy as well, but only comes on with the light (not so bad then).

Such a lovely time spent at the Caswell Resort with my family. We had a great room that was clean and safe for my little one that's learning to walk to be able to walk and play around in. Also such a great view of the lake from our room. Thank you for the wonderful stay we will definitely come back!

We wished more food places were open in town.

Cabin 55 is great! Had the entire family up and bought up the line of cabins and then some. Was fantastic to interact with the other guests along the beach. Stqff are fantastic friendly and helpful. Even lucked out and had some EPIC fireworks due to a rain day on july 1st!!

There are some acts of nature that cannot be avoided and it is not anyones fault but nature itself... cannot blame the staff for nature. Still had a great time and so did all the kids!

We were given an upgrade to a beachfront without asking and no extra charge. The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. The view was glorious.

The washroom was a bit cramped...the door couldn't be opened all the way without banging into the toilet. Only one person could be in there at a time, either at the toilet or the sink. But it was fine. The shower was nice. There was sand on the floor...had to be careful not to track it into bed...

The view is super nice. Comfy rooms. Nice town with little crowd. Beautiful nearby places like lookout point and hydro station to visit. There was sufficient parking.

Some guests were super loud, playing loud music with huge speakers, mgmt didn't say anything to them. There was no microwave in the rooms. There was one in the entire property which was broken too. 3 Dogs from the neighbors were always coming to the beach/property and were barking..

I was in cabin #61 close to and facing the beach. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable and clean. The thermostatically controlled heating worked well. The staff were polite and courteous. The location was nice and the view of the lake was nice. You can use the sandy beach which was right in front of the cabin. There was a small fridge in the room. I would stay here again.

These are not really complaints, but more for information purposes. I was in Cabin #61 near the lake. The room was a not very big. The bathroom was small. I was amused that the bathroom door handle was installed backwards so that a person could be locked into the bathroom and not lock people out of the bathroom. Not a real problem for me. The front door of the room towards the beach had blinds installed between 2 panes of glass that only went down part of the way. I taped a garbage bag over the bottom part of the door window to solve this. As I said, I would stay here again.

Neil and family are slowly upgrading the old hotel. It is comfortable now and has great potential. Town Council should approve his requests. Sundridge is reviving. Best wishes to Neil and all!
