Room was clean & comfortable, staff was pleasant, helpful. Was nice to feel part of the village. In the evening it was quiet and we had dessert outside, very safe. Breakfast was available at the attached restaurant, plenty of variety. Other restaurants in the area too, Note: We parked our car in a nearby spot to unload, then moved it in a designated parking area up the hill. We liked being in the village because it quieted down at night. We are glad we didn't stay by the water above restaurants where we might have been bothered by the noise and cigarette smoke.

Beautiful 500 year old building in the very center of a medieval town. Guynat the Front desk was very nice to offer us a free upgrade from basic to comfort room, coz the heating in the latter was better. It was also a bigger room.
A kettle or a coffee machine would be nice to have. Otherwise it is a great hotel. In the town you hardly get any signal from your mobile provider. So if you are in a hotel or a cafe, better ask for a wifi password.

This hotel was just what we hoped it would be, typically German. Very beautiful with lovely friendly staff. It is right in the heart of Meersburg, it almost felt like we were on a film set just stunning. Rooms were very comfortable and our dog was allowed to accompany us everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast was just amazing and the food in the restaurant to die for. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
It is a little noisy first thing, were the deliverers and bins being emptied.

We had a fantastic stay at this quaint hotel. The location is great in a square in the old town. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The breakfasts were good, unfortunately we didn't get to eat any other meals there but it's a lovely place to have a drink and watch the world go by. Both the exterior and interior give you a sense of the history of the building in a good way. Our kids (8 and 6) loved the bunk bed with sliding doors - they thought it was a den ;) The family room was spacious.
It was hot hot hot during our stay (around 35 degrees which we were told is very unusual) and we were on the third floor (it was hotter with each floor you climbed). The staff went out of their way to help by providing us with fans, but they struggled to really make too much impact against the heat. Not sure you can blame the hotel for this, but something to consider if staying in peak Summer

Location, town, and staff were fantastic.
Only gripe would be that there is no elevator. It’s an extremely old building (updated with modern amenities) but has no elevator lift. So if you have mobility issues this nights not be the place for you. But the location is great and the people are wonderful. One of the prettiest towns in all of Germany.

Very good location inside the village, perfect distance from the parking facilities and the lake. Spacious room, the restaurant amazing, such a beautiful place. Where you can get a lovely breakfast. The "Breakfast Manager" (don't remember the name, sorry) simply amazing!

The hotel is in the perfect location and gorgeous enough to be featured on half the postcards of Meersburg. It has been updated. The breakfast was good and the room was clean and had all the advertised features. The staff is courteous without being obtrusive.
It can be loud at night (Drunks coming from bars in the area) which can be an issue if you are sensitive to noise. As the hotel features no AC, you have to open the windows at night, which makes it worse. Also sound is amplified due to the city architecture. (All of this is in no way the fault of the hotel or it’s staff, but still needs to be noted)

Friendly and characterful. Lovely setting with plenty of local facilities. Comfortable rooms well maintained and clean
Basically unsuitable for people with disabilities. No lift, steps into the hotel and up to your room. No toilet facilities on the ground floor. Its a long, very steep walk to the lake! You are not able to park your car anywhere near the hotel.
