Very Grand: velvet sitting areas in lobby, crystal chandeliers, lovely architecture. Amazing breakfast( can’t say enough good about the breakfast buffet) absolutely amazing European spread: meats cheeses eggs, muesli and more , cappuccino, yogurts pastries, even little brown sacks to take away as needed. They really go above and beyond with customer service. Right across the street is a little park and an old castle. Only one block away from an indoor mall with pharmacy and grocery store. Dinosaur family park at top of mall. Lastly, a couple of blocks from old town square a highlight of Liberec.

Location to the town, the bedroom, breakfast, the hotel personnel were super friendly and helpful. We had originally stayed for one night and left on our motorbike to continue touring around the Czech Rep. We didn't know that within a couple of hours, we would find ourselves back at the Clarion Grand Hotel after a major motorbike breakdown. An explanation with Andreja, Roman, Lenak and other Reception Personnel about our predicament, they allowed us to book a room on a day-to-day basis until we had a greater understanding of our situation. All Clarion Grand Hotel personnel were friendly, helpful and supportive during our 5-day stay until we were repatriated back to the UK. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with a nice view of the old castle opposite and an adjacent park. The breakfast was superb with a fantastic selection of produce on offer. All the Breakfast Staff, Vladimer, a lady (didn't get her name), Ella and others greeted us with a warm smile and asked after our situation. Nothing to dislike.

The hotel is a wonderful historic building- grand and lavish. The staff are brilliant- they are extremely professional. The rooms are very comfortable - beds and large bath. Note- you need to ask for a kettle if you like to make tea, but the staff were very helpful.and happy to provide one. The breakfast was exceptionally good- frankfurts, bacon, mushrooms, pickled fish Pancakes, croissants and the most delicious porridge. Lots of tasty fresh fruit and vegetables too. Honestly excellent breakfast, and the room is very impressive as well. Only thing to watch out for is that the room gets very busy on weekends. I recommend getting there early if you prefer it to be quiet.

Gentleman at the reception desk was very dry and seemed not very happy. He had very condescending way of addressing guests. Even though it's pet friendly and have parking on site - charges are not specified when booking. You find out at the reception desk (28€ for a dog + 14€ for parking) Wardrobe was stuck and the door to our room was blocked by the bathroom door Reception didn't offer any fee cancellations or anything apart from water

We’ve known it for many years and have seen it from almost post communist to it’s very different modern state. We have had a small suite for the past few years which has been very good. We arrived this year when the temperature was high 30s and discovered the area where most of the suites are situated has no AC. The hotel immediately offered to transfer us - to the biggest suite I have ever seen, and for which we were very grateful

The fact the hotel group decided to shut the restaurant post Covid. The hotel manager laments this. Hopefully the group will come to their senses, do the promised upgrade and reopen the restaurant. Having dinner in another building at the far end of the hotel is a great backwards step.

It is a nice old hotel situated in the center of Liberec. Everything is in the walk distance. Room was nice and comfy while breakfast was ok with enough variety for two day stay. Private parking is right Infront of the hotel and it was easy to reach it.

On the 2nd day of my stay, it happened that they made a mistake by giving the same code key and room to some other guest by mistake. I know that its a solid breach of guest privacy and it could have lead to different outcome, but the staff addressed the issue on high professional level and quickly resolved the problem and that is why I'm not giving them lower scores. On the other side, giving a same room key and room to two different guests is problematic issue and I hope they will never repeat the mistake. Now I even think that I missed an opportunity to get some free complementary things. :D

Good and historic hotel in a fine location close to the town center. Check in and check out were very smooth and quick. The breakfast has a great choice of items. The room is clean and comfortable.

I complained about a broken light bulb, which kept flashing; it was then removed, but not replaced (although this was promised for the next morning).

Good location, close to Old Town. Staff was very friendly and checked in me 1 hour earlier as my room was already ready. Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Decent breakfast, there were not a lot of options, but everything was tasty, except juice diluted with water... Good sound proof, except doors into neighbour's room. Old and beautiful building outside and inside.

During check-in reception worker didn't tell anything about wellness center in hotel. WiFi was not very strong in the room (room 322). Not very comfy pillow for my neck. There was a doors between my room and neighbours, sound proof because of that was not the best, I was woken up by neighbors having sex and moaning at night 🙉

My review is based on 14 days in Czechia, staying in  different accommodations every night....Was the stay value for money & would i stay here again and recommend? Definitely YES! Superb in every way possible. Pre arrival help was excellent and I had a lovely room overlooking the part. The cost was exceptionally reasonable with a breakfast you only dream about!

I want to thank Ondrej and Anezka for helping us with what we needed.There is great breakfast whit many options to choose from and rooms are quite confy...hard to find in czech republic

Sauna is for extra fee ..I think it should be free or at least 1/2 price for hotel guests...few minutes from hotel are much cheaper and better options to go for sauna than this.
