Beautiful poussada just under 10 mins from town. Loved the nature setting, the outdoor dining area, the constant sound of the waterfall, birds, frogs, etc. really special atmosphere. It was quiet and peaceful but we still met other guests in the common areas and made good friends, went on hikes together, etc. loved staying out in our patio area at night, reading or chatting. We extended our stay as it was so nice!

Showers could have been a little warmer! Also, not the pousada's fault, but there were parties in near by areas at night some times, with a bit of loud music, which was a shame if you were wanting a relaxing evening. But they didn't go on all night, and it wasn't every night.

We loved the fact that it was 10m walk to the beach/main town. We had our privacy as there was no loud music or anything like that if we were to stay close to the beach. Amazing room with bathroom, provided towels, fridge and your own porch. You could hang out in the comunal area and meet other guests. The kitchen is fully equipped which was amazing! They have a river in the back of the Pousada which we loved. WiFi was good. The aircon was god sent! Proper air conditioning! We loved the staff, they were really helpful especially a dark hair guy which we were chatting to. He is amazing and such a nice soul! I forgot his name but didn’t forget our chat! I would recommend this to anyone and I would definitely come back!

Beautiful Pousada. Has absolutely everything you could want if looking for a cosy experience immersed in the jungle of Ilha Grande. For that reason it’s slightly further walk (only 5min) from the town but that’s a good thing. The owner and team are so nice. Lots of wildlife and lots of cats!

Amazing and very beautiful and relaxing tropical garden just in front of your room, and views on the mountain and cachoeira. Very quiet place, you only hear the cachoeira perfect to enjoy ilha grande paradise. Small terrasse in front of my room allowed to chill outside in your own private space. 4 super cute cats help having a fun and relaxing experience. Staff were friendly, and helped me booking a transfer to the island ahead of my trip.

It is quite a bit of a walk uphill from the town, the walk is quick, but a bit tough especially with suitcase. The room was equipped in a basic way and was not super clean, I felt the cats might have peed there before judging by the smell. During my stay I would have hoped for more support from staff to help getting around and booking day trips. Smoking was allowed on the terrace, so smoke smell was entering my room from the neighbor.

Although a little further away from the main town, the privacy and secluded feeling couldn’t be beat! Well equipped kitchen facilities with ample room for multiple guests. You could tell staff cared about the presentation of the property and it was well maintained daily.

Our bunk was a little unstable and would benefit from some additional support.

I loved the location because although it´s close to the centre and all the restaurants and shops, it is out of the way, so it was quite quiet even though it was a busy time of year. There is a very well equipped kitchen so you can make your own meals if you want to and the eating area is very pleasant.

We had a slight issue with the air conditioning on the first night, but they resolved this very quickly. We didn´t mind, but there is a bit of a hill to walk up to get to the Pousada.

Well presented property - basic but some nice finishing touches. Spent a lot more time in the property than intended due to bad weather and I was offered blankets etc. and you have the option for daily cleaning. When my adapter didn’t fit the sockets, the host offered their charger for me to borrow and was able to organise transfers etc on my behalf. The property uses a lot of natural materials and it’s clear that they are eco conscious. Hot showers were ideal given the weather when I visited.

The property itself was a little further up the hill (could be a problem if you have a lot of luggage) - I liked being a little further ‘out of town’ (5 mins!) but it did take me a while to find as the location isn’t accurate on Google maps. There is a shared kitchen but it would be nice if breakfast was included. Unfortunately I couldn’t make the most of my stay as it rained non stop the entire time I was there but the host wasn’t around on some occasions (such as when I went to check out) - not really an issue for organising things as there are so many tour operators in the town.

Customer service is A1, the receptionist got me out of trouble after my planned tranfer to Ilha Grande went into total mess and confusion, she booked me another tranfer with another company within hours, for cheaper and more reliable service, she didn't waste time and relieved me a ton of stress, that alone saved my trip to Ilha Grande...oh, and all of that in English!

Nothing bad to say

It’s a lovely pousada im the middle of the forest, so it’s really quite and surrounded by nature, and you have direct access to the river! The best once you’re back from the beach or islands tour is get refreshed in the river!!! Also Ximena is super kind and helpful, and we talked a lot, but the place facilitate to interact with other guests and cats living in the garden, so I had a really pleasant and rewarding stay and made new friends!

They have kitchen but don’t offer breakfast, you can do it yourself as there’s everything, but would be nice to have breakfast staying on holidays :-)

The place is lovely , and you can even walk to the river from inside the pousada. The staff is friendly and useful. Beds are comfortable

I love animals, but there are too many cats living in this pousada. Sometimes, it's a bit uncomfortable having 3 cats entering your room when you open the door or find them in the bathroom in the morning as they manage to squeeze through a ceiling hole in the bathroom.
