The hotel is well-equipped, clean, and at a great location. The food was delicious and the staff was kind and helpful. We had a delightful New Year's Eve celebration and everything was organized at a high level. We particularly enjoyed the spa area and the versatile options it offered. A great experience - highly recommend!

Something to consider during winter visits - the balcony door in our room couldn't close properly despite being locked with a key, so the room was a bit colder. This wasn't a big problem during the day because we didn't spend much time in the room, but it was at night because of the low outside temperature. Other than that we were satisfied with everything.

Hotel is located in the park zone. Excellent SPA, both suggested treatment and personnel. Pool was big enough to swim a little bit (but it's not deep though). Everything is very well organized. Breakfast is good as well as dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that dinner food was not repeated from day to day, we had something new to eat every day. Icecream for dinner is an excellent option.

Matress could be less soft :-) Electric outlet was near the one bed only. Not very convenient when both people need to charge their phones Minibar was empty and no still water provided. There is no problem to buy it in the nearest shop but would be good to have a bottle or two on arrival Hotel is located on the hill so you need to go up from the lake which is not easy for everyone.

Don't be fooled by the modernist utopian feel of the place and interior design reflecting the country's communist past. What this hotel lacks in 21 century design, it compensates with extremely attentive staff who anticipate guests' wishes, and they are always quick to react when help is needed. Another positive is the F&B department which runs as smoothly as a Swiss clock, providing a diverse range of really good food for all tastes and preferences. In short, expect a wonderful stay.

Rooms too hot for my taste, but this is not really a downside. Most people visiting spa towns expect to be warm and cosy 24/7. If you prefer warm interiors, this hotel is the right pick.

Exceptionally friendly staff. All you need is in the hotel. Comparing to past year more tasty food but still less than it was before Covid. Some more entertainment than past year. Overall very satisfied with staying in the hotel.

After 19.30-20.00 you may not find part of most delicious foods. From this year (2024) they started charging guests for water during dinner. Sometimes internal thermal bath is very crowded and people talking too loudly (would be nice if staff take care of this). Very few rooms are with showers, most have baths, which is less convenient for elderly people. Not related to hotel itself but ...mosquitoes... Years ago municipality took care and a few years there were very few, now again a lot of mosquitoes.

A delightful hotel situated close to the renowned thermal lake, offering a unique blend of relaxation and nostalgia. The architecture and decorations, reminiscent of the communist era, have been well-preserved, creating a distinct atmosphere while still providing all the modern comforts. The staff are exceptionally professional , always ready to assist with any needs. The dining experience is outstanding, with the food being both delicious and well-prepared. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it to be the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

This is an amazing spa hotel with the best staff—very professional and friendly. I really like this hotel—I have been to it more than 50 times. I have been in all the hotels in Heviz 4-5 stars, except Lotus. I think this is a really good option. The bar is also nice, with live music. The hotel has the best natural environment. The staff at the reception are the best—very respected. The view from the 7th floor is spectacular on Heviz with its lake. There are many hiking options from the hotel.

I am happy that the hotel offers brown bread for breakfast- this I recommended 5 years ago. I suggest the hotel management add more fresh fruit (pineapple) and different yoghurts. In addition, goulash soup as a traditional soup would be nice every day as a Hungarian dish. I recommend adding a minibar to the hotel room - Hungarian wine, beer, and juices with reasonable prices. Menus for wine could also be printed in a bigger format, which is hard to read. I would also suggest to add bar to the pool area. People will consume drink here. Water with lemon in the spa area would also be very welcomed.

We came to Hévíz for the hot spring lake and found this hotel (10 min walk to the lake) that was very attractive with its many pools. The spa area is really nice, especially the sauna space that seems recently renovated. The buffet offers a lot of choice, also vegetarian options. We enjoyed the live music, and the waiters at the bar and restaurant were very nice. You could tell that the customers were here for a common goal that is to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

We couldn’t regulate the temperature in our room, and it got really hot during the night. Also our room was not at all soundproof (or our neighbours were quite loud), so the first night was not as relaxing as expected.

Both our meals (breakfast and dinner) were pretty good. Breakfast was high standard containing all usual parts like in other similar hotels. Dinners were even better, each day there was a different set of main dishes with significant part of local kitchen. I like the swimming pool even the water is a bit too warm for swimming. Mineral water in hot pools is great similar to Heviz lake. Live music playing ballroom songs in hotel bar was real surprise which had enjoyed.

I didn't like the drink policy during dinner. You had to order via restaurant staff and you were asked one time only. This means one glass of wine, water, one beer during the whole dinner. You had to sing receipt for this order each evening a and to ask for one more drink means another receipt to sing and not friendly response from staff.

The second time in Ensana. Definitely will be there again. Good value for money.
