Room was lovely and clean, smelt fresh and has been nicely updated. Had everything we needed, kettle, toaster, microwave, plenty of blankets, spare pillows and more. The rooms are not sound proof at all, but we expected this from an older style motel and always come prepared with earplugs. It was a pleasant stay for us to attend a friends celebration.

Nothing, be pro active and bring earplugs (due to the main road location) and you will sleep like a baby :) Maybe a full length mirror would be nice.

bed was comfortable. room was sufficient to our needs. had majority of things as expected.

bathroom sliding door didn't close completely (gap either side) and when was open, it hit the wall and was still covering 1/3 doorway (luckily hubby and I aren't big people) also didn't like room next to us (we were room 8) were smokers (cigarettes and marijuana) and it was coming into our room! could hear adjoining rooms. lastly, would prefer individual toiletries (not the communal pumps, as you never know if they've been tampered with)

Stayed at the Riverbend for one night, 2 adults and 2 kids, just passing through on way back from Adelaide. The family room was fantastic, very comfy beds, great split system air con which heated the room quickly. Kitchenette had everything you could want with microwave, crockery and cutlery. The jug of water and glasses in the fridge were a nice touch. Easy parking, outdoor table and chairs and pretty little touches with flower beds, etc Tailem Bend Hotel around the corner did a great steak ($20 steaks on Tuesday). Great spot and highly recommend!

Parking at the door was very convenient, we were travelling from Tasmania to WA with a lot in the car so it was reassuring to have the packed car close by. The motel looks like it was constructed in the 60's but has been refurbished and the room nicely decorated. Full marks for the innovative use of the old breakfast tray delivery hatch.

We would have found a bigger refrigerator more useful.

One of the best country motels I have ever stayed in - and I've stayed in a lot. It looks and feels more modern that it is, and is fresher and more welcoming than most. It has ample room for a couple and the layout is efficient and comfortable. The table layout is excellent. I've stayed in $400/night rooms with worse facilities. The coffee and tea facilities are basic but good, and the fridge is big enough. The bed was really good - one of the best I've been on. The host I met was lovely. Walking distance to all local facilities you need.

The location is stuck between an interstate rail line and Highway 1 - B Doubles and trains tooting with the formers' air brakes all night. Lots of other traffic noise between 5 and 7am then quiet again. The gravel courtyard didn't help.

Check in was so quick and easy, lovely and very helpful service we will be staying again 🙂

Only small issue we had was the shower being a little short and not the best shower head/ pressure but honestly that's nothing I couldn't handle with how convenient, easy and clean the place was. Will definitely be staying again.

Over all, the Motel was somewhat dated, but with current up-grades, was extremely pleasant, easily accessible from the main route, very clean, friendly check in and check out, superb heating and cooling, carpets, beds and linen, cleanliness, 10 out of 10. The only downside was that the shower flow/hot water barely ran. [Sighhh]

The location was great - near the main road but off it and quiet. Close to the town and other cafe and restaurants. It was very clean and exceptional friendly staff - quiet and a great stop

The wifi was down but that was all.

For a budget motel it was very clean, bed was comfortable and it had all that we needed for a quick stopover and rest for the night.

Bathroom was a little dated but still very clean and practical for what we needed

The appearance of the motel and gardens was very appealing, beautiful flowers. A central location, a short walk to the bakery or 2 doors away Simons Bass Cafe ( excellent coffee and breakfast ) Close to the road but we slept ok .

You had to ask for a hairdryer and I didn’t realise, so I had a bad hair day as we left.
