Location,hottub,owners was very accomidating.

The bed was not comfy,limited dishes.No where to wash dishes.Breakfast and fruit were to be provided, but it was not. The website needs to be updated since some things have changed. From what I understand there is new Property management. And that is why some of the things that had been. There was also no place to hang your clothes as the closet. You weren't allowed to have anything except plastic cups by the hot tub. They were supposed to be provided but were not. The dishes that were provided to us could not be cleaned. Because there was nowhere to wash them, So they were left unwashed. There was no dish soap or tea towels either.

Wonderful location with ocean view and private patio. Nice to have a fire in wood stove. Very quiet and lots of birds. Nice to walk out on pier to see birds in early morning.

Upon entering there strong musty smell but it decreased over a couple days as we left all windows open and lit a few fires in fireplace.

The harbour side cottage was super cute and had an amazing view of the harbour. Great location that was in walking distance to the Whiffen Spit and Sooke Harbour House. We also had booked whale watching with Sooke Coastal Explorations (which is on the same property) and had an incredible experience overall.

Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Wonderful location right next to Whiffin Spit. We had two cottages and an ensuite double room for a family holiday. They were all comfortable, warm and homely, with good amounts of cutlery, crockery and towels. There were also games and books available.

Induction cooker which only takes 1 pan at a time in each cottage, but we managed by also using the BBQ grill.

Great location! Beautiful walk just down the road. World class walk up bakery window a short walk away. Hot tub with view of the bay.

I thought we rented a cottage with a full view of the water. We had a sliver and lovely trees. It was perfectly fine but a startle initially.

Plastic cups and no dish soap to wash dishes, dishes were plastic would be nice to replace with ceramic. Laundry detergent should be non toxic because I am allergic thank you

Proximity to Sooke & environment. The hot tub is wonderful. Minimum contact with proprietor(s). Suited our purposes. Bed comfortable; bathroom & shower first rate!

Instructions in room are dated re: locking door, hot tub instructions, area recommendations. However, these are simple things to fix and did not hinder the enjoyment of the property in any way!

Beautiful location, although you need a car. Favourite part of our stay here was getting a pizza delivered one evening after a soak in the hot tub and eating it on the decking watching the seals and eagles right next to us. Great location for wildlife. Cosy room, very peaceful.

The new management company aren't great to deal with but I guess this is just one of many properties they run and it's no longer a family run cottage. A large additional cleaning fee of $75 was added to our booking, although we were given the option to cancel our booking but we had already made plans to visit Sooke so we went ahead. No staff onsite as it's managed remotely and they don't answer the phone, so you have to email them. Wouldn't rebook with Iris Properties.

Beautiful nicely decorated cottage. Very clean and quiet with nice garden off the patio. Fully stocked kitchenette with full size fridge. Great wifi and good selection of tv channels. Nice walks nearby.
