First, let me say that all the staff was wonderful and attentive Marketa's is conveniently located close to the city center and has a different array of options in terms of restaurants near by. The rooms are big and the atmosphere quiet all around outside and inside. There is a common area and a fridge/microwave, coffee and tea option in the basement. Breakfast was freshly made each day, with different options to pick from a menu. The bead was comfortable and the shower was good (with good pressure).

The only thing I could point out might be the fact that there is no really a comfortable place to sit with a computer. There is common area with couches but no desk or table with a chair.

The breakfast was amazing! The staff equally awesome and so careful about the allergies and food sensitivities in my party! The hostess and staff greeted us warmly at made us feel at home at every single turn. My only suggestion would be to consider replacing the small couch in the front bedroom to accommodate a third person not wanting to sleep in the double, but I made it work. Still we were very comfortable with the current arrangement. The location ws great for us - out of the hustle and bustle of the main streets, but an easy walk to popular downtown destinations and restaurants, etc.

The building, house, has retained its original build charm. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet with nice surrounding gardens. Rooms and common areas are very clean, neat, welcoming and comforting. The staff are charming and friendly even more than accommodating, anticipating our needs, eg directions, taxis, travel times, real fast choices. Easy Walking distance along quiet streets to the Empress hotel and harbour. Breakfast was wonderful. This B&B embodies the spirit, charm, proprietor friendliness and delightful guests that has led my wife and I to prefer staying at B&Bs for 40 years.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. In a quiet street within easy walking distance of Fisherman's wharf, the central harbour-front and the shore at Beacon Hill Park, Marketa's is probably in the best location in Victoria. Park your car in the private parking and forget about it for the rest of your stay. Marketa's is a quirky, comfortable bed-and-breakfast in a charming, artsy, traditional house, After a warm welcome from Marketa, our private room at the front was clean and comfortable, with a shower, toilet and, unusually, a large jacuzzi. A set breakfast served from 08:30 to 09:30 was generous and friendly service from Marketa's team impeccable. Overall, we're very pleased to recommend Marketa's.

The room and house was clean, and the service was terrific - kudos to the staff (Jerell and Dar and others I didn't get all of your names sorry!) for all of their careful attention to guests. Breakfast service was a really nice inclusion and the paid attention to the small details to make it special (fresh juice and coffee). Loved, loved, loved the jacuzzi in the room <3 Great location in a quiet, cozy neighborhood that's only 10 minute walk to downtown. It's a lovely starting point for doing your own walking tours to all the lovely sights that Victoria has, from historic downtown and Chinatown, to the lovely nearby parks, gardens and beaches <3

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marketa’s! The property is within a few blocks of the ferry terminal and harbor area making it very convenient and walkable most everywhere in central Victoria. The property itself is charming, inviting and very well attended. The owner and staff were absolutely delightful, most welcoming and attentive to any need. Breakfast, a choice of several options, was delicious with beautiful presentation too! Staying at Marketa’s was a wonderful experience and without question, top of the list to visit again. It was unique and exceptional to stay in an older style house, in an old city like Victoria. I would definitely recommend staying in this bed and breakfast whenever anyone would come to visit. Marketa and her staff give a warming and welcome attitude towards everyone, especially if they are visiting the city for the first time. The location is in a great area from where you can walk to downtown and James Bay in a matter of minutes. The breakfast, along with its porche window view, is delightful. Very accommodating and antique, which is what you want to experience in beautiful Victoria!

I absolutely loved staying here! Our room was clean, cozy and the bed was very comfortable! While having a vintage aesthetic, all amenities were modern and well maintained. Being in a quiet neighborhood it was a great place to come back to and rest after exploring Victoria during the day. These reviews were absolutely correct that breakfast here is amazing! I had Eggs Florentine each morning and it was delicious! The staff was all very friendly and kind, and we really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Victoria.

Gorgeous location with amazing staff, friendly & caring. The facilities were lovely & well cared for, as it is an older style building - which definitely adds a comforting touch. 100% recommend staying, and look no further for breakfast. They've got you covered with a wonderful cooked to order small menu, coffee / tea / fresh juice or hot chocolate. When you're ready to head out to the city, it's just a short walk over to downtown.

Loved how comfortable the staff made you feel. Very welcoming. It was so clean and they let us in a little early on a very blustery day.

Loved everything only blip was we got home from our function and someone had tripped the breaker so we had not enough heat in our room,no lamps or plugs to charge our phones and hearing aids. In the morning the staff was there and we were able to get it fixed right away.
