Stunning location with view / balcony looking out over waterfront area

When booking in we got offered a room upgrade which we turned down, then the upgrade price was dropped and we turned it down again and then finally we got the upgrade for free as that was the only room they had available anyway. Sneaky behavior we thought, trying to get us to pay extra for something they had to give us anyway! But wow, the upgrade was to a fabulous room.

The location of this facility is wonderful. Our room had a waterfront view of the inner harbor with a large size balcony. There were all sorts of water activities to view including seaplanes taking off and landing, water taxies, ferries and sail boats. The view is very nice at night too with the nearby lighted draw bridge and hotels along the shore. Our room was very large with a full kitchen and amenities. Free underground parking is included and pretty much everything is within walking distance. Wouldn't hesitate to book again the next time we visit Victoria.

The facilities do not include an onsite restaurant, pool or workout room which is not a negative for us but is worth mentioning for others who might like to have those services available to them.

A superb suite in the centre of Victoria with wonderful views across the waterfront. Generous space, separate bedroom, full kitchen, coffee machine and kettle, fridge, microwave. Table and chairs and desk. Plenty of power sockets and easy to access. All lights working. Balcony with table and chairs. Two large TVs. Everything very tidy and ordered. Top professional hospitality.

There was nothing whatsoever to not like. No issues arose, everything just perfect.

We were able to walk along the harbor and the activities we wanted to do were easily accessible. The whale watching and seaplane were only 5 minutes away. Red Fish, Blue Fish was also only a 5 minute walk and worth waiting for the fish and chips. When we asked staff about getting to the Butchart Gardens they were able to give us good advice.

Nothing I didn't like. For the future, perhaps staff could suggest activities we should put on our list of things to do upon arrival.

An incredible view of the Victoria Harbour if you book the right room. Parliament Buildings lit up at night were spectacular. Everything within easy walking distance, and if not, lots of harbour ferries. No restaurant, but lots of variety close by, ranging from quite sophisticated to great fish and chip trucks. Generally quiet. Staff friendly and helpful.

Missed having air conditioning. Had a great patio and tried to get the ocean breeze through the big windows, but when the larger ferries in the harbour came and went, a strong smell of diesel fuel came into the room, so had to close the windows. Didn't use the patio. A shame as the view was so grand.

Stunning views facing the harbour and very convenient location. All aspects of the suite, including the layout of rooms and other features, were thoughtfully designed. Also, very friendly and accommodating staff.

It seems all hotels in Victoria are very expensive. It is not a city where you necessarily get value for money when it comes to accommodation. The Victoria Regent Waterfront, which is a very nice hotel, does not offer breakfast (there is no restaurant) and there were no work out facilities. But I am not sure that it would be any different for other similarly-priced hotels in the area.

Location was awesome! We were able to walk all over downtown Victoria, and had easy access to food, drinks, and activities. We didn't go for the waterfront room but was great to be able to walk outside and be right on the water. Bed was insanely comfortable.

The hotel and the room themselves were just fine - nothing too noteworthy or special, but balanced out by the awesome location!

Location was amazing, even though it was the city viee, the patio was nice and large and we had a peekaboo view of the Legislature. Walk out the front doors and you are right in the middle of Old Town. Lots of places to walk to. The building was quiet,beds were comfy.

The pillows were quite over stuffed. It is nice to have a variety of pillows so everyone can find what they like.

Brilliant hotel. Upgraded to a suite which was a good idea. Had a lounge area and full kitchen so could self cater. Good location with waterfront or city views. Very comfy bed. No milk supplied nor for sale ( would be a good improvement), so bring some. Circle K closest conveninece store or Market - both around 10 min walk away.

The location cannot be beaten. Except when we went to the Butchart Gardens and the next day drove around to see more of the city, we did not need to drive: we walked. But no need to walk far! The staff were first class; knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, a great place to stay. My wife wants me to say "It was a nice room and comfortable bed." Victoria is a great place to visit as are the Butchart Gardens.

I'd have given a 10 rating but I never do! Sometimes the hotel does not live up to expectations. This one did.
