Location is great - right behind the Empress Hotel and next to the bus depot (we came over on the Connector Ferry/bus from Vancouver.) The suite was comfortable although the bedroom is a little tight to shimmy past the bed to the other side with only a 12 inch path. The living area was nice and roomy - and we had great views toward the water beyond the Empress Hotel. There is construction going on in front of the building and a giant crane right outside our window - so the banging during the day was a little noisy. Bed was very comfy.

Bathroom was a little small - would have loved to had a double sink and more storage.

Cool relaxing weather compared to temp at home in Cayman Islands mid 90s when I left.Love the friendly local staff but hv been here several times before in fact stayed here about 35-40 yrs ago in building right below Starbucks where garden is.Used to be a small hotel where we stayed while playing cricket at Beacon Hill

How much buildings are going up are spoiling the view of the harbour

The best thing about this hotel is its location - right at the edge of downtown and close to the ferry terminal. The room was pretty good - comfortable bed, large TV, couch, nice city view, lots of power outlets, and a large bathroom with plenty of surface area. It was a bit tight - when one person sits by the desk/working area, the other has to jump over the bed to get from one side of the room to the other. A second chair for another person with a laptop is not really an option.

Breakfast was continental+ style - eggs, sausage, bacon, fruits, and porridge. I was expecting more for the price, like vegetables, more dairy options, etc. Also, I was under the impression that the hotel offers both self-parking and valet parking, but when I got there I was told that only valet parking is available.

the location of the property is great to downtown Victoria & harbor. Front staff & valet staff very friendly & helpful. Having a kitchen area in our suite was wonderful to have breakfast & snacks. Also within walking distance or a short drive to Beacon Hill park which is a must when visiting Victoria.

unfortunately we arrived later in the day because of travel & had to have a room on the side of the construction site & the large crane. It will be a shame once the 14 story building is built beside the hotel as all views will be gone the side facing the parliament buildings. Other than that it's a great hotel!

The suite was large and very comfortable: a small bedroom and a very large sitting room with sofa and several chairs and two large writing desks. The view was very good (although the windows needed cleaning). They had huge TVs in the bedroom and sitting room but I don't know how good they were because I never watch TV (I use my computer). The staff were also quite friendly. The Starbucks below is very busy but it has an amazing view and a comfy and classy atmosphere (it adjoins the pizza restaurant too). I didn't try Bartholomew's Restaurant below, but there's a Brown's across the street and a Cactus Club a couple blocks up Douglas. The location is excellent -- right next to the ferry bus and the waterfront, and a short walk to Beacon Hill Park, which is enormous and has lots of little ponds with ducks, a rose garden, petting zoo, etc..

The wi-fi was honestly not acceptable. It took too long to set up (half an hour -- and my machine works everywhere else) and you had to keep logging on (I stayed for six nights and it got a bit tedious). In addition you need to pay or become a free member (which took forever to do and was far too confusing) to get the fast wi-fi. The last morning I checked out a bit early in order to go to the nearby Blenz, which has great wi-fi. A hotel like the Hilton should have easy, free, and excellent wi-fi. The kitchenette had a microwave and fridge, but no dishes, cutlery, or tea towel.

Loved my suite very much! Great location as you can walk around easily to shops, restaurants, and attractions! Breakfast was great! Cabs or Uber arrived in a timely fashion. Didn't have to wait long! Loved the secured elevator where a room key was necessary to go up to the guest rooms! Felt safer!

There wasn't anything I didn't like! Loved everything about the hotel and what it had to offer!

The location of the hotel is fantastic! Right downtown and close to the waterfront where you can walk to see the Parliament Buildings. Also really close to the Royal Victoria Museum. Really convenient having Starbucks attached to the lobby so you can grab a coffee without leaving the hotel!

We especially liked the floor plan with an entry hall w/ bath and closet, leading to room. Great view. Helpful staff.

At $400+ felt that was steep for the room. No dining room for breakfast with menu, just the $28 buffet breakfast. I enjoy an egg + toast, I don’t enjoy - nor need - a big, pricey buffet.

Location was great. Great to have Starbucks and a great pub on the property The shower had an excellent view of the harbor!

Our king room with a view was nice but we had to ask for a second chair (which they bought) and there were no chairs on the nice terrace with the view of the harbor.

The location of the hotel, the size of the suite and the valet service people. The balcony was huge ... could have used a couple comfortable chairs though.

The sofa bed was horrible and in desperate need of a new mattress and cleaning. The balance of the room was clean and comfortable.
