No hot tub/pool We weren’t able to take breakfast to an ill guest I. There room. Vegetables in the eggs was not appreciated

Location was excellent, close to the harbour and just across the road from Parliament. Lots of choices for dining within walking distance and easy access to buses.

Breakfast was included and was good for half of four day stay but on the last two days no hot breakfast was available.

We enjoyed the breakfast options and they offer plenty of time for anyone to come down and eat. I really liked that the room is fairly quiet so our baby was able to nap as much as she needs. The staff have all been friendly and helpful - we felt comfortable communicating with them from the time we booked and throughout our stay. We’ve been able to check in early which we’re grateful of. We also appreciate that they accommodated our request to check out a couple hours later than the check out time (with a fee) so we got to stay a little longer and allow our baby to nap and be comfortable until it’s time for us to travel again. They also honoured our free parking because I booked prior to their change (it used to be complimentary but they do charge for it now FYI). Overall it’s a great hotel and we’ll consider booking here again in the future.

Room is a little dusty but it’s expected due to the carpet and heater. The room we got is also a bit small and the layout is a little awkward because the closet was in an awkward location. The beds are a little too soft for my preference with one being softer than the other. I could’ve used an additional space around the bathroom sink but it’s the typical bathroom sink so nothing I can complain about. Overall it’s a 3 star hotel so all these are normal and IMO the hotel is doing amazing for what they offer.

Graciously welcomed much later than I expected to arrive. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Slept well and enjoyed an outstanding breakfast of very good quality in a pleasant breakfast room. I was impressed with the breakfast chef and his attentiveness to the self-serve food area and to the guests. I didn't realize ahead of time that I was staying during a holiday weekend. It impressed me even more that the weekend staff provided consistently good service , even when they worked while others had time off with their families.

The location of my room during this (my first) stay at Embassy Inn was not optimal, as I was awakened earlier than I preferred by the arrival of the housekeeping staff, and their conversations while starting their work day occured when I was still in bed. But having a very nice breakfast put me in a happier mood.

The 1 bedroom suite was perfect for recovery from my operation at RJH. My medical escort had a large foldout couch in the living room, and I had easy access to the restroom just outside the bedroom. This unit had two balconies, a full kitchenette, an apartment sized refrigerator, two large clothes closets, and ample storage space for clothing. This suite was pet friendly at an additional $20 per night. As I was recovering, we declined housekeeping services.

No fault of the hotel, but a very hyperactive, excited sports team of young ladies was staying on the same floor, and they're super loud going between rooms visiting. This only happened for a couple of hours in the late evening's, but they usually settled down when it reached 1030pm.

The staff was helpful and allocated us a nice room on the top floor, but it had a skylight letting in too much light so we were quickly changed to the same style room on the floor below. Having the 2 queen beds was great for really being able to sprawl in bed. The beds were comfortable and the view from the room over downtown Victoria was lovely. It was close to everything and there was free parking including undercover in the building's garage. The breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of choice.

We would have preferred natural yoghurt and English bacon instead of the crispy bacon for breakfast, but we certainly didn't go hungry!!

Clean, comfortable, renovated room in a great location, easy walking distance to everything. Free and plentiful cooked breakfast a bonus. Staff willing to accommodate room change.

At first we were given a room on the top floor which looked decent and clean but found it very cold as it was January. The heater smelled musty. We also noticed there was a skylight which would have woken us early, so asked to change rooms. Staff were very accommodating and we moved to a room on third floor which was great. We really like the hotel but would have had a different opinion had we kept the original room on top floor.

-Location was great. -About breakfast: Every day, there was a different protein option, and the breakfast it self was perfect. -Everything was always clean. -Staff was very nice, specially people in charged of cleaning, they were silence and very efficient. - There was 24/7 hot tea and coffee available. - the front desk really worked! During our last night we had some loud neighbors, I called the front desk complaining about them, and the person actually did something, because our neighbors were quiet after that.

- In our room there was a big old machine as ac/heater, which was loud. However it was easy to turned off, and we didn't had any noise while we were sleeping. - The bed was not as firm as we would love to, but it was ok. - be aware that there are seagulls around, therefore when the sun begins to shine, the seagulls will vocalize or "mewing".

The location of the hotel is great. Right by the waterfront of inner harbour, next door to the parliament building and a short walk to all the facilities of downtown. We had our car with us, but didn't need it for the whole 2 day stay, a real bonus The breakfast is also great with everything you would want for a good start to the day And then there are the staff... really nice people ready to help when needed and always with a smile.

The hotel is showing its age a bit and some of the fixtures and fittings are outdated. It all works well, but could do with a refresh. The elevators are also a little bit disappointing, slow and a sometimes unpredictable. It would be nice to be able to use the stairs from floor to floor, but these seem to only go to the emergency exits and not the ground floor lobby. A shame because i needed the exercise to walk off the great breakfast

The location & breakfast were amazing. Free parking and breakfast included. The breakfast staff were on hand to keep items replenished & to maintain cleanliness. One of the front desk staff was amazing (brunette lady was cheerful, professional, helpful & friendly - always had a smile - wished I had gotten her name to give a shout out). Pillows & bed were super comfortable! Housekeeping was friendly & efficient. Located ideally to important tourist attractions at the inner harbor - Legislative buildings, IMAX, BC Museum, easy walking distance to water taxi, Fisherman’s Wharf, The Empress Hotel and other shopping venues. One block from bus #70 & 72 that take you to Swartz Bay Ferry terminal (great for walk-on travellers who don’t bring a personal vehicle to the island). Starbucks 1 block away.

Sheets on the bed were very stiff which made sleeping not as restful as it could have been. Rooms are a little tired - very clean - but could use a refresh. No gym or pool/hot tub in case these amenities are important to you. Free bottled water not provided but you can buy bottled pop or water from vending machines in the lobby.
