We had a couple of issues upon check in, however the staff went over an above to ensure these were resolved to our absolute satisfaction. We felt very much looked after by the staff at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go back next time we visit Victoria. We loved the location, short walk into the centre, and incredible views over the harbour both day any night when Victoria is lit up. It's an easy walk to all the major areas in Victoria but also has a drop of/pick up point for the water taxi which was fantastic. All in all a brilliant stay at this hotel and a fabulous time all round on Vancouver Island.

I don't really have anything negative to say about the hotel. The pool area could be a little bigger, but other than that everything was great.

I didn’t like the coffee machine in the room - would be nice if they had Nespresso instead.

The service in every department is considered, thoughtful, and authentic. We loved the view from our room, the front desk staff, the guys at the guest service desk and the wonderful staff in the club lounge. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and made our stay outstanding. We had so much fun playing tennis, and the food in the club room was surprisingly delicious. (I’ve used club lounges in Fairmonts and Hyatts and they are always disappointing) The staff in the club room were awesome and were so helpful and really made us laugh!! They even made special meals for our celiac son! I cannot wait to stay here again!

The only thing was the whirlpool which was not heated and therefore not nice to sit in.

The staff were well trained, professional, and courteous. The macro ambiance of the property was impressive. The food and beverages were perfect, and the views were spectacular.

The flusher on the out of date toilet had to be manipulated each time to keep it from running. The in-room coffee came through the machine like weak tea, with little flavor. Poor quality.. That was disappointing. We enjoy a coffee in the room. There was only one 'to go' cup in the room. There were no 'unsweetened' creamer facsimiles offered.

I love the locations. Great hotel. The restaurant inside has great food. Fantastic employees, everyone was very friendly. My room was big with high ceilings. Lot of bathrooms options.

It was a llittle to expensive for a room that's faces a wall 🧱. Because our room was facing the employee entrance/loading dock, we have no view and we hear employee talking pretty loudly. The room was gorgeous and big but with no view, I think it should of been cheaper.

I would never have picked the location because it was across a bridge and I wasn't familiar with the layout of Victoria. As it turned out, it was the best place. The walking bridge was lovely and shops and restaurants were right there. It wad a short walk from there to The Empress and museum. Plus I loved watching the harbour , the planes, water taxis and there was even a rowing tournament. I also loved the outside balcony on our floor facing downtown. I want to come back right now!

Location was great. Facilities were very good. Restaurant menu was a little limited and a bit pricey. Hotel is nice and quiet. Parking was good. Access to the city centre was good electric chargers, for my car were good.

The showerhead did not function very well and wasted a lot of water. Fridge could’ve been a little bit colder. The restaurant menu could’ve been a little better. The fee structure could stand being a little more competitive.

The staff were amazing. I requested a room with a view and a bath last minute so my partner and I could celebrate our anniversary and they delivered and also had left us with a bottle of Prosecco. It was super special and I couldn’t be happier. The gym in the hotel is SUPREME for a hotel gym and the indoor pool and hot tub was awesome to swim in considering it was 7 degrees outside haha. The room was HUGE and the restaurant downstairs was great! We loved everything!

The bed was too soft but that’s more of a personal preference from someone with back issues.

It's a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location -- a chip shot from the Johnston St bridge (used to be called the Blue Bridge) and downtown Victoria. Because it's on the far side of the Inner Harbour, you have a fabulous view of the Legislature at night (the money shot). While a "city view" is ok, you really must have a harbour view to maximize the location of this property. There is a water taxi stop right at the hotel so you can get to the Inner Harbour by water or land within minutes. This was not my first stay here and it definitely won't be my last.

The room location was perfect - we asked for a view of the harbour and we got it. there was a little sitting area in the window for us to have our morning coffee and watch the boats and planes.

The pool - way too much chlorine. The fridge was useless - too small and nothing really was cold in it. You couldn't put leftovers in it, only a couple of cans of pop and bottles of water. There wasn't a safe in the room either.
