For sure it’s a nice place to be

Only thing that I felt strange about, was the fact that my request to switch the evening buffet to a sandwich lunch the next day was neglected, even though I asked the day of check in (I had booked a dinner outside the next day) and I fully had to pay for it. Experiencing all the friendliness of Seychelles I think this was a bit of too much strictness compared to what price tag it is. It would have been nice to find a compromise.

La Digue wouldn't be the same without the L'Orangeraie Resort. Husband and me spent our first 10 days of the honeymoon there and it was feeling amazing. Our Vila Charme was looking trully charming with a beautiful view over the domaine and the ocean, a spacious outdoor bathtub and shower, nothing really bothered us there, very few bugs outside if staying during the nightime and we didnt. They take care of pest control weekly, it is harmless for guests and it shows. I loved their care for us, we were told beforehand everytime. The shared area is also very organized, quiet and with a breathtaking poolside view. Besides the beaches on the island is no other better place to see pictureperfect sunsets and with 2 bars close to order delicious ice cream or beverages. I loved their Honeymoon cocktail!!! The food is trully good, every day has an international chosen cuisine, pretty big selection for everyone's taste. You can also let them know before coming if any health restrictions and will totally follow up on that. Last but not least, the staff makes that place great above all, they exceeded my expectations on every level. For honeymooners is a guaranteed paradise treat, but not only, they are very careful and making little surprises for you along the way. I wish to have enjoyed even more the resort, but we are a very active couple and went out for few trips, biking and other sightseeings😆 I made this big description to give credit to such a wonderful accommodation and after reading from others around that don't always sound fair. It is a pricey place if you expect to come on a budget, but those 4 stars feel like 5. My feeling is that being so respectful with nature around, the place is built to help sustainability, having active birds flying on the premises, sometimes inside the open space restaurant, lizards etc. all over the beautifull gardens is one of the reasons they aren't a 5 star.

10 days felt too short for such beautiful amenity!!! We have no complaints!

Room almost at top of mountain. Beautifully appointed. Top notch housekeeping services. Restaurant buffet was consistently excellent- the best my wife and I have encountered. Kudos to the chef. Property is stunning and well maintained. Restaurant is on the water. Excellent internet service. The room also had a small refrigerator- a plus.

No beach at hotel, but others were nearby. Restaurant charged for water, even though we were on half board plan. This nickel and diming is shameful for a hotel charging us $800 a night. Ice service to our room was exceedingly slow until we complained to management.

We stayed as a couple in a Garden Villa. We loved the pool - it had a great view and a swim up bar. The sun loungers were also very comfy. The food was very good and plentiful - each evening was a different buffet theme, with plenty of choice. Breakfast buffet was also very good. The staff were always on hand to help and organised umbrellas/transport for the guests one night when it was raining incredibly heavily

The check in process could be smoother and the receptionist we dealt with could have been friendlier. They also kept our passports without informing us of how long they would need them for - just a simple update would have sufficed! Staff in the restaurant were a little too overbearing at times; it's ok for guests to pour their own wine! Drinks and food were a little pricey. Our bathroom also leaked through the light fixture in the ceiling after heavy rain. The rooms would benefit from a little touch up! The beach is also not the nicest in La Digue, but the pool somewhat makes up for it

Harry at Pool bar was great and overall service in the restaurant was excellent. The buffets were different each night and the quality was superb.

We had carry on luggage which should have been able to come with us on the buggy transfer but instead we were put on a large buggy with other people and the luggage was brought to the ferry dock separate. The description and videos showed a personal buggy with luggage. Ideally would like an included private option for transfer to and from ferry jetty.

We stayed at Villa Marion Dufresne. The Resort is located very close to the jetty. Although have a lot of rooms (62 I think), you don’t feel is massive. The weather was not too good during our stay but we didn’t care about because our room was so amazing that was very nice to relax on bath while raining. I truly belive that the photos on booking are not expressing how good the room is. The food was a buffet, with a lot of choices and the food was tasty.

There is no beach in front of the hotel and the SPA prices were very expensive

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. Definitely my absolute best. Like I said in my last review, I have retired and travel quite a bit. From my experience there's always something special about each hotel. However, there is always one that exceeds all your expectations. It's the one hotel you will only book. Le Domaine de L'Orangerie is that one for me. If you are visiting La Digue, it's in my opinion the only hotel to book. The staff are so friendly and always attentive to your needs. JUST THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! And you couldn't wish for a better location.

For the 2nd time there was nothing I didn't like. Other than because of my schedule I couldn't stay longer. Next time on my Seychelles holiday I will book almost my entire holiday at La Digue at Le Domaine de L'Orangerie. Without a doubt. Such a laid back atmosphere without sacrificing the professionalism.

room was awesome, specially the bathroom concept & size. pool was fantastic. since we are vegetarians, we could not have more than 50% but on our request the chef was good enough to provide with some vege options. Apart the above, would like to mention a few people who were really friendly & assisted us whenever needed - Dhanjibhai, Tushira, Deepak, Karen, Ajay, Prashant.

The receptionists Enida & Shawney (don know the spelling exactly) were very rude, ill mannered & need to go back to take some lessons as to how to behave with the guests, specially at a 5 star hotel. Never have i experienced such a behaviour towards guests in my life, i am not sure whether the senior staff has taken cognizance of my mail !! if not, then someone has to look into this.

The location of the hotel is excellent, not too far away from the port but also close enough to good beaches on the island. The level of service through the property was very good, special mention to the staff at the restaurants that were excellent throughout.

Even though the whole island of La Digue is a tropical and relaxing paradise, a bit more proactivity from the hotel in organizing activities would be appreciated.

The property is even better in real life compared to the pictures, the service provided was top tier, they provide a complimentary buggy transport from the ferry harbour to the hotel, you can use the facilities even after your check-out in case you have a late departure, the buffet offered a very good variety of food and very tasty too, dinners are with live music, the room I stayed in had a huuuge open air bathroom, they gift you a reusable water bottle too.

There was literally nothing to complain about. 10/10
