A nice boutique-style hotel, situated in a historic building, facing the central square of Banská Bystrica, in the very close vicinity of a few hundred metres of practically all tourist attractions, museums and monuments, such as Central Slovakian Gallery and the Dominik Skutecký Villa with garden, and three main jazz bars. The tourist sightseeing train is a few metres away. A large room, with confortable bed and pillows, welcome water is appreciated. Breakfast is in general superb. The elevator to the room floor and garage floor world fine. A well-secured underground car garage at the price of EUR 10 per vehicle/night.

There is a sort of labyrinth to get out of vehicle garage to the receptionvia elevator, as it is somehow awkwardly marked. Likewise, the pedestrian entrance to the hotel from the main street is not properly marked with a signpost at the street. TV remote did not work. We noticed chipped enamel and dissolved paint in the coffee/tea kettle, which is extremely hazardous.

location, parking, breakfast & staff

We stayed in the older part of the hotel(facing the square, nice view),but to get into shower, one needs very careful. Water spills everywhere, hard to climb into the bathtub without any support. Also no lift.

The location is great with private parking lot. It is a nice historical building, feels like in a caste. The room is a decent size and I liked that each twin bed is on the other end of the room. Toiletries and slippers were available. Big wardrobe, a lot of storage space. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast was nice, basically everything you may want. Staff at the reception was helpful and friendly.

We watched ice hockey, so the TV could have been bigger.

Location on the square is perfect. Room is very large. All is very clean. Great breakfast selections.

Parking is a bit difficult but we managed well with hotel staff helping us.

Absolutely everything. The things I liked the most were the scrambled eggs on breakfast - 10/10 quality.

Being a history building, there is no elevator. The pillows could be better.

The location directly on main square is great,new and clean rooms,very nice,rich breakfast.The garage is also perfect if you come by car.

Everything was fine

The Arcade Hotel situated in the beautiful, historical main square of Banska Bystrica, therefore the parking is difficult. Our deluxe room was spacious and comfortable and very well equipped (huge desk with desk lamp, armchair, shoebrush) with newly renovated bathroom. The breakfast was simple but good.

Room was super clean, staff were very friendly, free parking.

No AC, breakfast could have more options and was not always fresh.
