If you are seeking a quiet rural setting to explore the Slovenian countryside, this is the spot for you.  Blanca is very small but is perfect for taking long walks along the river.  There is also a memorial statue erected in honor of Melania Trump, who is originally from the region.  I personally did not find the memorial very flattering, but you be the judge. As for the accommodation, I found the double room very comfortable with the air conditioning providing sufficient warmth during the cool nights.  The bed was perfect for my liking and the private bathroom clean and spacious. I took my meals at the pub restaurant but be aware that the menu is limited. For a short-term stay, I found this sufficient supplemented by snacks from the small local grocery store. I enjoyed my time here and the chance to get to know this rural part of the country. Since I was there in the winter, I was the only guest, but I am sure in the summer the hostel is much busier and you will have more of a chance to interact with other travelers. Finally, I have to say that I traveled to Blanca on the train and then onward to Zagreb. The Slovenian train system is wonderful!

Everything was fantastic. I absolutely loved this accommodation. The staff was friendly. It was completely private. I was also able to do my laundry very cheap other countries I had been to were extortionate but here was reasonable. The accommodation was good value for money. They had a kettle that was clean and a fridge that was clean too and an iron. Couldn't ask for more really. The whole place was spotless clean. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone. The guests at the restaurant were very friendly. I am a black female and they were very warm and welcoming just like everyone in Blanca and Sevnica in general. Loved everything really. Thank you for hosting me.🙏🏾❤️ Might be a bit away from Ljubljana but it is so worth it really.

The surroundings of the accommodation are perfect. It is located directly on the banks of the Sava. The facilities and cleanliness of the accommodation are excellent. The staff is helpful.

There is a railway line in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation. The trains also run at night and this has a noise effect. I couldn't sleep with the window open in the night.

Wonderful place and really nice people. Despite arriving late I received super delicious dinner with home-made vegetables and bread. For me this place was perfect! Thank you!

The hostel is located near Blanca train station and has a lot of good and clean facilities. Especially, travellers can easily walk at Save river located behind the hostel.

Shared kitchen and big fridge is available with AC. They have sports facilities available for team sports, so it's quite convenient for groups of active friends.

Really comfy bed, very clean room, easy 6-7min walk to train station, easy 5min walk to supermarket, bar downstairs, near the beautiful river. Brestanica is worth a visit and I would stay there next time - people were friendly in the restaurants and Rejhenburg castle, and gave me lots of great tips for what to do in the area.

Girl who checked me in was friendly, but all other staff weren't - other than taking my food order, noone ever spoke to me. Food was fairly bad, they offered burgers and pizzas only -no local food. Literally nothing to do in the village, you have to take the train to the next village or town, or walk along the river.
