Really good matresses. Excellent views. We could stay the Four of us in 1 room. Good wellness, lovely natural pool (it is not heated, but really nice!). Very nice breakfast with many homemade products/preparations.

You enter the Family room directly through the bathroom. No hallway. This is not ideal: shoes need to be taken off before you enter, otherwise your bathroom Floor is Dirty. My teenage kids also don’t appreciate when people come in when showering (even when there is shaded glass in front), but when it’s the entrance, it’s hard to avoid. Next to this we had 1 clothe-hanger in the bathroom. For exactly 1 towel. We were 4 people. None of our towels could dry, none of our swimming gear could dry. This is Not really ok for the amount you pay per night.

Beautiful location - the view from the windows is like a fairytale. The room was not very big, but comfy, nicely decorated, clean. Liked the infra-red light near the shower ;). Spa zones are very calming, comfy chairs to relax by the fireplace, three different saunas to choose from, and a beautiful pool with the view. Perfect spot to put your gadgets away and to relax. Read some complaints about the restaurant, well we disagree - the food was delicious, and for the dinner containing 4 meals per person (plus lunch we didn't use) price tag of 50 eur is fair enough. Will definitely recommend this hotel ;)

Beautiful location lovely rooms and exceptional spa

While some staff were polite and helpful, the front desk manager’s attitude was dismissive, and the general atmosphere lacked warmth or any sense of genuine hospitality. Bottled water not replenished, missing basic amenities (conditioner, lotion, cotton swabs), wet towels never replaced, and no fresh towels at the spa. Our family was split into two buildings, one old, far and unlit at night. Reserved bikes were given away, ruining our planned day, with no apology or compensation. When we ran out of toothpaste on Sunday, the hotel’s solution was to wait until Monday to buy some at the local supermarket — unacceptable for a property claiming this standard.

The location and pool in particular were wonderful, we really enjoyed a total break away from the world hiking the trails nearby and then lying by the pool in the afternoon. The breakfast included was great, good quality local ingredients, the light lunch was very basic but nice to have. We normally aren't huge fans of hotel restaurants, and had read average reviews but this one pleasantly surprised us - firstly its a great setting watching the sun go down, and every night the menu was interesting and delicious. We did the 3 courses for 50eur, and it was perfect but the highlight was the wine list and the pairings the waiters recommended were fantastic, with wine normally costing around 7eur per glass.

The only downside is the room - it was rather small with an unconventional and awkward/tight bathroom set up, additionally there was no airconditioning which I understand for environmental reasons but with the days at 32 degrees in June it was way too hot. We requested a fan from the front desk and luckily received one (they didn't have many). If no airconditioning is going to be fitted, I really recommend the hotel invest in ceiling fans at least...

If you want peace and quiet surrounded by mountains and nature, then this hotel is perfect. It takes about 1 hour 30 drive scenic drive from Ljubljana airport, driving through cute little villages. The hotel feels like a cozy home. I loved the outdoor activities available. I spent the day cycling, hiking, and swimming. They also have a relaxing spa with sauna and steam room. Dinner was fantastic and fresh, sourced locally, the menu changes every night. I like the small touches like the little homemade cookies in the room and the bio selection for breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel for nature lovers who want to escape the fast paced city life.

Some added amenities in the room such as moisturizer would be nice.

This place really is as good as the pictures! Yes it is on the expensive side to stay here but you pay for what you get in my opinion and this is a magical place and the hotel is worth it. The room is modern and sustainable which I give the hotel kudos for. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were very welcoming as well as the neighborhood cat. The wellness Centre was excellent and super clean, it wasn’t busy at all. Overall it was a magical stay and felt like we were living in a dream and 2 nights was a decent time there. The rich history of the hotel was also fascinating.

The dinner was on the expensive side and some courses were great but as others have stated the mains were rather bland, they weren’t bad they just could be better for the price. There is another hotel 400m up the road which you can eat at that as not as expensive and one night eating at both was great. The rooms do not have air conditioning and I don’t think they necessarily need them (also I get their commitment to sustainability) however if the windows had fly screens and their was at least a fan this would make it much more pleasant. We slept with the window open but there was a mosquito flying in biting my partner.

Honestly this place blew my mind. I booked the hotel after seeing pictures of it on Instagram but it's rare that the reality matches or even exceeds the photos. In addition to jaw dropping mountain valley views, the restaurant was exceptional and the very definition of local farm to table ingredients. Do not miss the breakfast! We also loved unwinding in the spa with all the different saunas and the big fluffy bathrobes. I kept telling my husband I felt like we were in an Agatha Christie novel, we both were creatively inspired by our stay and hope to come back some day.

A hotel this exceptional comes with an exceptional price tag. While I did gasp a little when getting my final bill, I can't argue that I didn't receive the quality of services to match that price tag. Worth every euro. I wish we could have afforded to stay longer than one night! Truly a magical place to decompress.

Breakfast was great - lots of great options. The location was absolutely stunning. Also, great for walking and hiking, and for other dining options. Facilities were great - outdoor pool, spa. We enjoyed relaxing here. Massage was incredible

Dinner was far too expensive - 60 euros pp and didn't suit a family set up at all as it was very fine dining. A shame there was not an a la carte option. However, several restaurants along the road (one an easy 100m walk) that were a quarter of the price and also delicious. No blackout curtains made the room very light in the morning.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Plesnik. From the moment we arrived, the genuinely friendly staff made us feel right at home. The hotel is nestled in a stunning landscape, surrounded by majestic Alpine mountains. The views are spectacular, adding a serene and peaceful ambiance to our stay, making it an ideal retreat from daily life. The hotel's charming alpine cottage decor, combining rustic elements with modern comforts, created a homely atmosphere. The wellness area was amazing, and I appreciated the hotel's eco-friendly approach, especially the unique alpine eco-wellness natural water pool. Breakfast was exquisite, with a variety of delicious dishes made from local, fresh ingredients. The activities and excursions in the area were fantastic, from hiking beautiful trails to exploring nearby attractions by bike. Overall, our stay at Hotel Plesnik was perfect, and I highly recommend it.

Wow, what an amazing hotel! We booked this by chance really, without knowing what to expect, and it was the highlight of our trip. The rooms were amazing, everything was thought of, the spa is brilliant, all the food we ate in the restaurant was exceptional, and all topped off with one of the best views in Slovenia. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Only a very small thing, but it would be nice to have some protein options in the light lunch that’s provided. Salad and soup was delicious but we were hungry after a long walk so some meats or cheese would also be welcome!
